Worth every penny you pay!. Staff are super friendly and kind. The story telling along with the ride was amazing experience and unique. I highly recommend it for kids and couples or anyone honestly.
We took a family cruise. It was great! Our captains Lory and Grace were amazing! They were professional, friendly, very warm young ladies. Cruise itself was well organized. Our children loved it so much! Thank you Lory and Grace!
Very ice cruise, there was some information by the pilot. Very nice time.
Very nice hour long informative cruise. Lots of information about the lake and surrounding mountain areas with some local history info. We had a very pleasant time with some great pictures.
Andrew and Matt were incredible! We didn't expect much from the cruise and it was just a bundled package inclusion. However, we had so much fun and enjoyed the beauty and history of this place. Very engaging and fun tour. Andrew gave a lot of great recommendations. We even asked were to see some wild animals and we did spot some wildlife as per his recommendation. Thank you! It was awesome!
Excellent cruise and lots of fun and knowledge passed along by our tour guide Will. He was very informative and funny and made the experience wonderful and enjoyable! I wasn't expecting so much history of the lake and was pleasantly surprised to hear the stories of the indigenous peoples that once inhabited the land. Definitely a must-do experience if you're in Banff!
The staff members are so nice. They are very friendly. The cruise itself is a great experience and you learn so much about your surroundings. It is worth doing.
Daughter and I had an amazing time.
Very fun even though it was lightly raining at first which didn't effect our cruise in a negative way. The boat is covered and the windows open and I was able to take clear photos. Half way through the tour the boat stops for a short time to take in the views. The boat turns around so you can now see the opposite side on the way back. The guide will tell you about the history and landlarks. The guide was informative and funny. He will show you samples and pass out info cards and ask the tourists questions. They also offer a booze cruise for almost $20 more in the evening and if you live in alberta you get a discount and must prove your address. In the same location there is a coffee shop, boat, canoe, kayak rentals.
A beautiful lake by Banff that has great mountain views. Washrooms are available and a snack bar. Hiking a bit will take you through to see more views. It gets choppy on the water so stay near shore in a canoe or kayak. Enjoy !
Cruise was nice. We watched our boat leave 2 minutes before our departure time and we had to wait an hour on the wait list for the next cruise. Our 1 & 2 years old had a good time staring out while we were on board. Get there early because if you get stuck in the back of the boat, you can't hear much of what the guide is saying.
Absolute must to experience when you’re in Banff. The guide was the best to make this a life time memorable trip. Visited during end of August.
Relaxing and very nice views of the mountains. The crew was professional and gave us a run down of safety measures. I enjoyed the insightful historical stories provided during the cruise.
The waters are nice and you get scenic views. Make sure to go at times when the boat is not packed as there's only limited capacity for standing on the deck. It's not as much fun when it's crowded as you'll be inside the cruise for the majority of the time
Very educational cruise.Kids age 12 and under ride for free at 12 and 3pm daily with paying adult!
Had a wonderful cruise that was captained by Lauren and Grace. What a fun duo? The cruise was smooth and detailed.
Absolutely beautiful, very mesmerizing lake ... it have a boat ramp.... parking... washrooms also available, lake itself is very beautiful very good place to spend a day...
Beautiful place. But cruise is okay, not so exited. But the crew is wonderful, they're trying their best to entertain the tourist. Renting a boat will be more exciting.
This was a great experience. We did the 90 minute Explorer cruise, and Craig and McKenzie were great guides. The lake is gorgeous!
Lake is beautiful, cruise staff is friendly and knowledgeable!
Me and my wife did the beer cruise, and we had the pleasure of Kennedy and captain Ashley showing us around the lake. Would recommend!
My wife and I went on the first beer cruise tonight and it was such an enjoyable experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining! Great photo opportunities. We will definitely be back.
Super friendly and knowledgeable guides. So many stories about the history of the area. Very relaxing and we even tried Pine tea!
Great cruise. A little frustrating finding the spot but Brewster offers free shuttle. Tour guide on boat very good. Nice views. Was simple. Kids went for a swim after. Cold. Bathrooms on site and change rooms and playground and restaurant. Nice area to enjoy. Decent prices for experience.
We had tons of fun on the cruise. The captain and tour guide did an amazing job. The scenery was amazing. Learned something new about Lake Minnetonka and its history. Loved it! It was very organized. You might ask why I gave them a 3/5 stars if our experience was so positive? The supervisor informed us there'd be a few minutes wait before boarding because they had to "sanitize for your safety" with air quotes, during Covid time. That made us feel like they didn't really care about our safety. If they don't take a global pandemic seriously, what other safety aspects do they not take seriously?
Really good tour. If you want the best seats sit at the back of the boat outside. Although the engine is quite loud you get lovely fresh air and a cooling mist from the water (in the summer).
Thanks to Lauren we learned a little bit about the history of the lake. Very professional and friendly young woman! Had so much fun riding the boat, and that’s also a big thanks to the great boat captain Kenji. Both are very experienced which made the ride fun and enjoyable. Very nice trip! We are so glad that my whole family decided to book this cruise to Lake Minnewanka. Definitely recommend it! ????????????
If you're in the area visiting this is a great boat ride as they supply some little known historical knowledge. Beautiful views.
Phenomenal boat cruise experience especially while celebrating my birthday.
Lake Minnewanka is beautiful.
Excellent place to visit
The captain and your guide clearly love their jobs they are funny and informative. The boat cruise was beautiful and we learned a lot about the local First Nations history of the lake and local animals. I got a lot of beautiful pictures too.
I couldn’t thank captain Alisa enough for the wonderful experience my family had on the Lake Minnewanka cruise today! Captain Alisa is so passionate, knowledgeable and patient. She taught my 4 year old boy how to operate a boat, and answered all questions that my little boy asked. Together with Lauren our tour guide, they gave us the most memorable cruise experience. Also the views were beautiful! I definitely would recommend Lake Minnewanka cruise to all my friends which I already did. They were so jealous and they all wanted to go on the Lake Minnewanka cruise!!!
Went on the one hour cruise as a family of 4. It was absolutely beautiful and the tour guides were awesome! My son's loved all of the information and stories. I would highly recommend going and I would even go again in the future.
The little cruise crafts are quite pleasant short of strong diesel exhaust. The hosts were fun, energetic, knowledgeable and engaging. The sights, lake, wildlife, length of cruise matches or exceeds the fair price. I would do it again.
Cruise was informative but its hard to hear with the engine noise and I would say its a bit overpriced too. The lake itself is beautiful.
The guides were very informative and the views were beautiful!
Fantastic cruise experience, Ashley our tour guide, she explained all the history of the lake Ticket was 56 c$ per person
We took the family cruise and it was amazing. The crew, captain Jordan and Will, were great with the kids and everyone learned a lot about the lake and the history there. After the cruise, my daughter's map view away into the water and she was upset. One of the other boats captains see and not only replaced the map, but also have her something extra. All the staff were friendly and helpful and went above and beyond our expectations. I would recommend this cruise for families!
A fun, family-friendly time. There was good commentary throughout the cruise which was an opportunity to learn about early inhabitants of the area - both human AND animal! It's a very nice place to spend time ashore as well. There are picnic tables for family gatherings. Enjoy!
The view was unreal. It's like a view from paradise. You can also do cruise or rent boats.
The cruise itself wasn't all that much to see, but the staff was amazing and made the trip worth wild! Monica, cap Sheldon and cap stowaway where a great team and they made it all the more better, they even included our three kids and made it even more fun for them
Great tour with an amazing tour guide! You will enjoy the lovely views of this massive lake! Better to do the cruise on a sunny day as it will bring out the true colours of the lake! The guides with just the right amount of humor will tell you about the history of the lake and probably a little bit about the banff area as well! Don't be shy to ask questions they are very informative!
Great cruise. Great friendly guides. Weather was perfect. Lake is historic and beautiful.
5/5 would recommend.
very informative-thanks to kenji and captain chelsea????
The tour company here has quite an impressive and well organized set up. We had Ken and Kennedy as our captain and guide and they did a great job. We went at 10am (on a Tuesday in June) and practically had the boat to ourselves so we got a bit more of a personal experience which was what I prefer anyways. We did the one-hour tour and I think the longer one would be of better value so that you could see more of the lake. Regardless, our crew was knowledgeable and warm and it was a great start to our day.
The cruise was scenic and definitely worth it. The best view is definitely from the back of the boat. UNFORTUNATELY my group and I were quite disturbed by our tour guide, Lo. I can appreciate that the tour was targeted towards children (regarding some of the tour content) but that aside, I found some of what she was saying highly inappropriate. She went into detail about her personal life-It was just off putting and it would’ve been much better if she gave more information about the place we were in. My sister asked where the lake connected to and the answer she gave made it clear she didn’t know. I would’ve also loved to hear more about the indigenous peoples of the area or more info about the mountains. We found it best to go to the back of the boat and just appreciate the scenery.
It was fun adventure for the whole family. We rented Canoe and Boats and all of us enjoy the lake
This is one of a kind of experience. And the person who narrated the history the lake was amazing and he is really talented.
Picture perfect
Not a lot of parking for a busy Saturday, but a great selection of trails and lake tours. Bring a minimum 4 people and bear spray if you plan on hiking in the summer months due to bear activity.
This was a beautiful tour. The guide explained us a lot about the Rockies. The rest of the staff was super nice to me as well. Everybody was smiling and friendly. They all seems to enjoy their job. The employee named Paule gave us great advices about the places and other activities to do around.
Nice place on Banff
Awesome, awesome ????. A must do Lake Minewanka Cruise.
Very knowledgeable staff running the cruise. They were extremely polite and had much to offer for those who didn't enjoy every beer. There were many other options to make sure everyone had a great time. Would 100% recommend!
We took the family cruze and my kids enjoyed like anything as they loved it. The way captain and co-captain made up those stories for kids was great. We definitely enjoyed it. Keep it up guys.
We had a great cruise that was 1.5 hours long. We had both the captain and a great guide giving us information off and on along the way. Beautiful views and very informative. Very organized from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend this as a must do on a nice day.
Must visit place near Banff city. Don’t miss to watch the sunset
Absolutely loved the cruise! Speaker was very insightful too. Easy and quick transit ride right from Banff or you can drive up too. They don't allow strollers on board but were very helpful in securing it behind the shop for easy pickup after the cruise.
It was a beautiful experience. Sheldon and Captain Dan made me see Lake Minnewanka in a whole new way. Taking the free bus from Banff allowed us to relax and enjoy the view. One criticism is that there should be bathrooms closer to the launch.
Very beautiful lake scenery which can not be described by words. Worthy come back to watch again and again.
Try the lake cruise on a sunny and clear day and you will be elated. It's so lovely to be cruising on the largest and deepest lake of Banff National Park. Alot of stories to tell from the interpretive cruise. This lake is often overlooked by tourists who are more into lake louise or moraine lake. This is not Glacial fed lake but it has natural springs from the bottom.
Renting a speedboat was really fun for the first half an hour - however, the second half was ruined through the engine not starting up again and noone answering our calls on the helpline - after about 20 minutes of being stranded in the lake, a nearby boat saw us and the experienced guy on there managed to help start us up again (after trying a lot of different things) - we were offered 33% off compensation which was a good gesture but should have been more - that said, cool lake to visit.
This cruise on Lake Minnewanka is definitely worth doing. The boats are comfortable and clean. No restrooms on the boats. This lake is beautiful. It is also 22 kilometres long so the cruise only takes you have way before turning around. To cruise the entire lake and back would take close to 3 hours! The guide on the boat is very knowledgeable and entertaining. We enjoyed the cruise and learning so much about beautiful Lake Minnewanka.
Beautiful scenery as to be expected from the location. Tour guide was informative, and made it more enjoyable for the kids. It was sometimes hard to hear him speaking due to static from the (probably old) speakers. A great way to learn about the history of the gorgeous lake and surrounding area.
My family went on the Lake Minnewanka cruise yesterday on a beautiful day! Kennedy was our captain and Daniel our tour guide! They were awesome! Daniel was super knowledgeable and made the cruise so interesting and informative! Even my 6 and 13 year old were intrigued! The views were beautiful and the cruise was the perfect length! Would 10/10 definitely recommend!!
I like the area very well. The parking lots are free in Canada day
The lake is the biggest in Banff and the cruise is so worth it. The guide on the cruise gives so much information about the place which makes it worthwhile. Go for it and you won't be disappointed!
Very peaceful place.
Great experience. Very informative host and funny. Also nice mountain views
Beautiful Place!
Had fun with the cruise ride, amazing views and story telling!
Nice tour with good and very friendly staff. Very informative and likes Knowing the history of the lake and its surrounding. Keep it up!
Beautiful view and lot to do at this park. Just need to be aware of parking situations.
Went on the lake cruise today with Capt Dan and Jordan and I must say it was absolutely awesome. The views are breathtaking and Capt Dan and Jordan were very knowledgeable about the history and also very funny. Not hard to tell they love what they do. Would highly recommend to anyone and everybody!
An incredible experience! My partner and I got super lucky as we had the whole boat to ourselves so it happened to be a private tour. Both Dan and John were hilarious and very knowledgeable. Gorgeous views the whole time. Would definitely recommend !
Awesome lake view with great guide
Rented a boat on beautiful Lake Minnewanka. Nice 16 foot boats with 9hp motors. Tried fishing, didn't catch anything. Rental was very reasonable if you go at the right time. Make sure you get there early to ensure you can get a boat. Weekdays also seem better for availability. Be sure to stop for ice cream afterwards
Most beautiful and largest lake in Banff
Nice boat cruise ????. Friendly staff. It would have been a 5 star but the view is limited from inside the boat cabin. The stern at has limited capacity of about 8 persons.
Very interesting cruise, the speaker is very knowledgeable about the area and the history.
Beautiful lake and surrounding scenery. The cruise was very good with really knowledgeable guides.
If you're in Banff area and want to experience local sights and history, look no further. Go to the gondola, buy the package for both gondola and lake cruise, save $40. Well worth it for both when gondola was $60 lake cruise i believe was $80. Package deal of $99 no special membership.
Beautiful Lake with crystal clear water, must visit.
Great cruise around the lake our family really enjoyed it
It was a very informative ride(explorer cruise). The guide shared some interesting stories about the lake and mountains.
Great tour. Got to learn quite a lot about Lake Minnewanka. However, it is 90 dollars per person which is a kind of high if you look at the boats they jave. Other than than its worth going on this cruise at least once.
The views were spectacular, the boat was cute and spacious. Daniel and Kenji were very good at keeping us entertained while providing background history of the lake, stories of the area, and fun facts! I highly recommend going and doing this cruise if you are in the area!
