Good luck getting hold of them by phone. A recorded message identifies itself as the HSBC, says it is transferring to a Customer Service Representative, then tells you the number is not in service??

Got a replacement debit card and they didn't activate it. It was a new card new number etc. So when I called the branch phone number, same story as previous post.I eventually found 2 numbers, one didn't work. Next one did and the rep basically said that it was my fault. Now I have to drive 90 kms again to activate it. I should have got a new card in the mail. I will probably close the account
