I was being handled by a Female by the name of Reem. It is important to note that she gave absoluste best service until the approval had some issues, it was then when she went from a 10 to. 3. Clients don’t come to you to beg for a car or deals, specially if several thousands of dollars can be put down. Clients come for a service and an experience. Even after I exaplones tk Reem that j had 15k of cash to purchase a car, she said that buying a car cash was not best since the company would not get any kick backs. This is my first time jn my years live providing a google feedback, but I am just letting people know that there are more ethical companies in Ottawa who will work a deal until it’s done, and not do like she did: vanished.

Brad is an amazing and personable person to deal with. He did is utmost to get a car approved for me with ZERO down, and even lowered the high interest rate (as I am rebuilding my very poor credit). Brad is very staright forward and offered several options that did not kill my budget.. The ONLY reason why this didn't get a 5 star, is that the financing and the finalization of my final approval was delayed for almost a week. When it came time to trade in, I waited until the location in Ottawa was open as I did not want to go anywhere else. I was not disappointed. Ben was a very easy salesperson to deal with. He went above and beyond as he actually drove to me to sign the paperwork, since my work schedule meant I wouldn't be able to make it until the weekend and they wanted me to have my new SUV by then. I ask him to work within my budget and it wasn't an issue at all for him. I still had multiple options with the small budget and credit I had. Before signing anything he broke down every little detail from the payments down to how itll help my credit. I'm now on track for good credit boost and I get a amazing 2020 kia to go with it ! Worst dealer ever after quoting me on a car they swapped it for another and didn't tell me they were charging me to a higher payment. Called again saying yet another car with another raised payment while being told payment won't change Wait a week for delivery after signing the papers to find out they sold that one two. They offer me another vehicle at yet another higher rate. Avoid these scam artists they are bait and switching to pad their own pockets all the while not even allowing you to see the vehicle your purchasing prior buying it. Cancelled my dealings with them and going back to searching at least I didn't get ripped off by these scammers. Avoid them at all cost. .

The team worked well to find a vehicule that would suit my needs and got me out of a second chance loan into half the interest rate I initially had with my previous car loan. Purchased a vehicle from them. Not only was I rushed through the sales process. The battery started failing within the first 2 months. Rather than fix it they tried to charge me to replace. I told them I was going to pick up the vehicle the next day and would change the battery myself. They gave me my car back with the steering column taken apart. The GM didn't even come out of his office to speak with me when I asked what I was suppose to do to get home from Ottawa to Toronto. Or who was going to put it back together for me. Receptionist told me I would have to wait until Tuesday (it's Saturday) to get put back together. So now I get to put the column back on myself in their parking lot. So if you think this is going to be a company that cares about the customer and their experience don't be fooled. If you are an inexperienced car buyer they will do anything to force you into the sale. I will never ever promote them to anyone ever, not that they care. They got my money. Don't let them get yours.

Had a easy time here, my dealer Hamza was more than reasonable. He was able to get me into the Mazda I specifically asked for and even a trim level higher than I was expecting. Also on top of that a way better interest rate than I was paying. No joke 5 percent less, the car was an accident car (Carfax provided). great company if you want to get a reply when it's "convenient" to them to reply not when you would "expect" a reply so it takes days upon days to get replies from anyone here, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone they just don't care they are worried about making the "dollar" that day and when they do your discarded they go onto the next person who gives them the almighty "dollar" poor service so if your into poor service non replies to emails just basically ignored until you HAVE to make contact AGAIN and nothing but hassles then this is the company for you

What a bad place. Last year, bought a car without doing proper research. I text drove it, and pointed out the check engine light was on. They assured me they’d take care of it. Well, they didn’t. It took a hell of a fight to get it dealt with. Nevermind how I paid 20k for a car that was worth a quarter of that. That’s my own fault though... Move on to 11 months later, and they tel me to come in and we’ll talk refinancing, and lose the 12% interest in paying. They ask what car I’m looking at. I said I would like a Honda. I was told we’ll look at crv’s and pilots when I go in next. I get there and they talk to me about a Kia Sportage and Volkswagen soemthing. Talking about going WAY over my budget. I said I didn’t want to pay more that 230. That was my absolute cap. The finance MANAGER told me it’s impossible to work with that budget. He told me another year with the sportage, paying 284, I could go to a REAL dealership and purchase a car. I left. He texted me a few days later to see if I had made a decision and I stood my ground. Said I can’t afford that. 50$ cheaper is all I ask. He said it’s Not manageable with my credit. Guess what? I’ve bought a 2020 Honda Civic with an extended warranty, with 3% interest for 220.20. TL:DR- these guys are crooks. Stay away.

Originally financed my car August 28th I believe, was given the wrong spare key. Called to find out what was going on as I have someone else's key and not my own. Called to retrieve my actual key and was supposed to receive a call back, a week went by still no call. Called back and a gentleman named Sam was firstly, rude. UPDATE: My car had other issues other than headrests. 401 maintenance department did do right by me and repaired the issues. Looking back, I would not buy from here again, but I am happy with the car i've got and I don't think that anyone at 401 meant to do me any harm, just a series of unfortunate events I think. DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR FROM HERE! RUN AWAY. I was told that they would find me a car and negotiate the best bank rates for me. Once they found a car and financing, Ernest told me that I had to sign all the paperwork agreeing to the sale and financing sight unseen in order for them to bring the car from Quebec to Ottawa. I signed the paperwork in good faith that this brokerage was working on my behalf. they say they received the car more than 10 days ago and that it failed Ontario safety. Ernest had told me it was brake work and the parts were on back order. he assured me I would get the car last week. At the end of the week, I still did not have the car and the story changed from brake work to missing headrests. On Saturday the 4th of September I was shocked to see that TD Financial had taken a car payment from my account. 401 had submitted the paperwork to the bank without giving me the car. I spoke to the Manager Jag and he assured me that the headrests would be in by the 7th of September. He promised me that I would be getting my car, but another day passed with no car and no communication from them. This is my first car buying experience and I have been completely taken advantage of, I am paying for a car I don't have.

Brad Matecjek introduced himself as the Finance Director and helped get me an interest rate on a Mercedes I never thought I could get at this time. Sold a car in April to my cousin, car was taken back in to 401 auto in May as something was wrong with it. Was told check engine light wasn't on so they could do nothing. August now, car needs new bearings and a catalytic converter. Less than 3 months of basic usnf since May and its falling apart. Was not allowed to test drive or do anything with vehicle first due to covid. Such scam artists to sell a car in this condition. Do not recommend. Changing my review.. as an update.. we spoke to the m and they are going to fix it and make it right. And the customer care people reached as per below. Relieved that they are helping someone start over and provide customer service. Todays experience may have just guaranteed them customers for life. I absolutely had to change this review for the better . The customer care recieved by the gm was excellent

POOR EXPERIENCE WITH HAMZA EL SOUSI. I came in on Feb 3 in a desperate position with quite poor credit. He offered me a 2017 Toyota Carolla, 101000km for $250/bi-weekly with $1000 down. He never told me the sales price of the vehicle or the term of my finance, was simply given the payment info above. I knew I could afford it so I signed & payed the down payment that day. He told me he will contact me when the car has passed safety & service. I messaged him a full week later & he said it was ready to pick up. Why didn’t he message me? I picked up the vehicle that day & noticed that the windshield was riddled with small little chips causing major glare when the sun hits. Was also given 2 key fobs with dead batteries. When he asked how the car was, I explained these issues & how I paid about $5000 above market value BEFORE TAX & INTEREST & I was really expecting no issues for that price. He was unable to get me either of those things fix & has left me to figure it out myself. Last but not least he asked for a 5 star review after EVERY conversation we’ve had. He asked the first day I met him & after he declined to fix my issues. Im sure 401 isn’t a bad company but I cant say the same for this salesman.

What started out as a great experience, has turned very sour. First let me say that the sales person I dealt with, Reem, was very helpful in helping me get financing and making sure I understood everything going on. Tyrone from the service department has also been doing his best to try and fix the mistakes of his fellow employees. Very quickly after picking up my car i realized that what was promised was not done. First and foremost, I was told that I could not test drive the car because of covid restrictions. Understandable. The thing is, if they are so worried about covid, why was the car never cleaner. All that was done was the dash in front was wiped down, so it appeared clean. 2 visits and over 8 HOURS later, and they still haven't managed to clean the car. When I called and spoke to the person who I believe is the service manager, Kim, all she did was make excuses and pass blame, saying that the sales people were supposed to clean the car. When I mentioned the other issues that seem to have been missed by the service department, all I got was more excuses. What else was wrong?? The windshield has to large scrapes, right in front of the drivers side of the window. Almost immediately after leaving with my car, the change oil light came on. The breaks squeal, and the back wiper barely even touched the window. When questioned about it, all Kim did was make excuses, "I know my guy, he wouldnt do that". Well guess what, he sure did. If you can miss something as basic as the oil is due for a change, how can I have any confidence in anything you have done. When i mentioned smaller things, like there are scuff marks all over the car, the response was, "oh we dont do anything about that". WHAT!?!?! So lets break it all down, for about $20,000, before interest this is the service I got, -Car was never cleaned, inside or out and after 2 trips and 8 hours, still not cleaned -Breaks squeal - Scratch marks on the windshield -Oil was never even checked, what else was never checked -Scuff marks and paint chips all on the outside. Also small amount of damage on the lower panel, that was never disclosed to me -Back wiper broken -There are 3 rain guards, the one from the drivers window is missing. -The drivers side door makes a horrible noise when opening and closing, the hinge desperately needs grease. Im sure Im missing some other things. The pic is just one small example of how well the car was 'cleaned' Ive tried speaking to the manager, I was told I would get a call this morning. Never happened. All in all, what started out as a great experience, has turned horrible. I hope that someone within the company has the gumption to do something about this and make it right.

I bought a car from 401 Auto in Kanata on December 30, 2021. It was my first time ever buying a car. The salesman that helped me is Firas. I picked a black kia forte 2021. He took me to the parking area, where all the cars were. I drove the black kia and took pictures. When he rushed me to sign all the paper, I didn't notice I was signing for a whole new different car. So when they delivered it to my house a week later, because it was so hard to get a hold of the sales person. It is like he disappeared after I signed the paper. They delivered me a kia forte 2021, but it was a dark gray. A totally different car. I try to contact Firas, but no answer. They were close on the weekend. I ask to speak to a manager, but every time I call all the mangers are busy or in a meeting. I feel so stupid for trusting them and signing, but I am a woman with no car dealership experience. This was my first time, and yes I got tricked so bad. Now I don't know what to do. Please be careful. Do not choose Firas as your salesman, If you don't want to end up like me.

I had applied online for financing, I inputted my desired budget and he contacted me right away letting me know that I had been pre-approved for financing. He was very helpful, polite and worked quickly to present me with some potential opportunities. Unfortunately, they were all way above my budget and I was later told I would need a co-applicant so I decided not to go any further with the offers.
