I have used Cash Money's payday loans services for many months, and have had nothing but good experiences with the staff. I am writing this review in regards to the hiring process for all of the Barrie locations. I applied for a full time job opportunity, and got a call for an interview that same day. The interview went very well, and I was told I would get a call for another interview with the district manager within the following few days, to a week. I also received a pre-hire package of documents to fill out for the purpose of that second interview. Most people would take this as a big sign that they were definitely going to get hired. A full week passes by and I receive no phone call. A few days after that, I get a very rude call from my interviewer saying that he had tried to call me multiple times within the previous few days in order to set up the follow-up interview, and that he could not get a hold of me. This was an outright lie, as I called my telecommunications service provider to procure a history of incoming calls to my phone number, and Cash Money's number was nowhere to be found. Therefore, my interviewer lied right to my face. Regardless, he then told me that the district manager's schedule was now full with other interviews, and that I would have to wait another week until my second interview, all because I (allegedly) did not answer my phone when he called. Skip to the following week, and I STILL did not receive a call from Cash Money. Finally, after some phone tag, I get on the phone with the gentleman who interviewed me. After some pointless pleasantries, I am informed that I will not be getting the job, let alone the second interview.
I understand that business is business, but a respectable company shouldn't jerk their job applicants around by outright lying to them about missed calls, making them wait two and a half weeks for a call that never comes, and making them fill out a lot of paperwork with the promise of a second follow-up interview, just to never get that interview in the end.
In conclusion, after devoting my time to cash money for the last two weeks, I find out that all of this was a big waste of time. I am disgusted that I could have been applying for a job elsewhere, but instead was played for a fool by people who seemed very inclined to hire me. They could have just told me from the start that I was no longer in consideration for the position, instead of lying and wasting my valuable time.
