Absolute cancer. *Do not give them your information under any circumstances.*
They will blatantly lie for the sake of getting the lead and all they do is pass your information on to other lenders anyway. Save yourself the displeasure of dealing with these slimy bottom feeders and deal with the lenders directly. Otherwise, go through a legitimate broker.

I contacted them late last year seeking general information before proceeding. I didn't want any checks to appear on my file until I knew I was in a position to make a purchase.
I confirmed clearly with one of their reps through the online chat function and they assured me no check of any kind would happen until further into the process and it would be cleared with me first.
The next day I get a notification that a dealership has made an enquiry on my file. Frustrated, I contact said dealership who tells me my info was passed to them by Car Loans Canada with permission to check my credit score.
I contact Car Loans Canada and they inform me it's in the terms and conditions and I should have been aware of it... like it's my fault that I was intentionally mislead.
That was very frustrating but such is the state of the finance industry. As if that weren't bad enough, I then keep getting marketing emails despite unsubscribing. Then I get marketing emails with no unsubscribe option.
I ask Andrew (the name/email they're coming from) to unsub me, explaining the situation. He says he'll do it... Then I get more emails from him.
Do not, under any circumstances, subject yourself to this cancer by giving them your details.
