One of my favorite VPL branches! I really enjoy studying in the quiet room here! There are six large tables! The environment is nice! It also has a nice kids’ area and a good collection of books! The staff are friendly! It is right next to Elizabeth Queen Park! After studying here for a long day, take a stroll / walk or rest in the beautiful park, such a great life!

This is a newer and medium sized branch of the Vancouver Public Library. It offers all the basics including photocopying and public computers with internet. There is a good sized area of children's materials (relative to the physical size of the library). Has all the basic necessities you will need, including a study room. The library hosts a variety of public events for patrons. Parking is shared with the community centre and baseball stadium. Some street parking available.

The library is open for computer use and book and movie sign outs Plus the Hillcrest Aquatic Centre is open for lane swim - and the exercise room as well. ????????

I love this library. I go often to work with my laptop. Comfortable couches, and comfortable desks type areas. Sometimes is noisy in the afternoon, because lots of kids come (Hillcrest Rink is just there) but there is a quiet room area you can use in those cases too.

Love this new-foubd library. As a mom, I think what I love best is that the children's section is right through the front side when you get in the library so it's so easy to get books..

Great place. Come here nearly every week to get books for my two little kids. Small library but they do a great job of rotating new books in the children’s section. And in terms of hours and days opened I am very impressed!

The library is juxtaposed to an ice rink swimming pool and fitness center an excellent venue the library is quaint small but yet spacious

Clean, new, nice atmosphere. Adam the kids library does rock (as per a previous reviewer) but I cannot say that about the rest of the staff, particularly the manager (an Indian woman who is completely rude, miserable and snarky all the time). Haven't seen her in a while, hope she's gone. The reason for 4 stars simply because the branch is often *really* busy and well-trafficked, attracting people from all over the city who come to swim, visit the farmers' market, etc and that means less books on the shelves. The only way to get the books we want is to reserve them and pickup. This, of course, is of no fault of the library but the lack of foresight by city planners to not build a larger library.

Nice quiet library. There children's section is quite nice as they have various seating areas and a few interactive toys. The only suggestion I have is to make the baby book section separate from the other sections. It can get quite crowded when my little one is browsing for a book while older kids are browing for graphic novels, magazines, and such in the very narrow aisle.

This location is the best. Has all the facilities: rink, pool, fitness centre and library in one. Parking is a hassle.
