Nice quiet could be better. The wifi worked for ten minutes. Staff could do with some work.

This is a comfortable community library and a good place to do some quiet reading. However, I would give this branch a low mark for critical thinking. I recently attended an indigenous culture event at this library. One of the presenters told the audience that indigenous people had invented airplanes and rocketships in one of their "four earlier civilizations". He said that only by seeing North America from space could they have imagined the phrase "Turtle Island". The library also has a lands acknowledgement which suggests Toronto is not ceded territory subject to a treaty. Why? One has the impression the library staff have difficulty separating new-age woo and Erich von Daeniken stuff from real history and anthropology.

not many teen books :(

Hidden library! Love the location, but the entrance is a bit weird (through the courtyard). Sometimes it smells weird in there (B.B.Q., B.O., etc).

Don't let the looks fool you, this is a really high quality library. Just a simple storefront library from the looks of it, but it is a great branch. The stuff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They have a great selection of new videos and the kids area is perfectly designed for the younger set. Weekly events for kids and adults are just the added touch. We will be sad to leave this branch behind when we move out of the area

Excellent branch, good available open times

A very convenient place so close to home for me. Lots of choices or I can reserve and get a call when the book arrives.

NOTE: MOST OF THE PICTURES YOU SEE ARE NOT PHOTOS OF THIS LIBRARY!! Tough to find (walk through the underpass beside Rabba and turn right) but indispensable. We have borrowed hundreds of books for our young children here over the years. The librarian hosts story time for kids in condos around the neighbourhood. I have my issues with the TPL system generally but we are so very grateful to have this local neighbourhood branch! The librarians there are extremely friendly and helpful.

hi super hi

It's hurt a bit by the construction currently happening just outside it. The entrance is also in the courtyard rather than via the street. That being said, it's clean and people there don't seem to make disturbances.

Anything less than 5 stars for a library is a travesty. I mean, come on. Every book at your finger tips. A wealth of research. Online and hard copy newspapers and periodicals. A building whose sole purpose is to educate and spread knowledge. While smaller than some branches, St Lawrence still delivers on a wide selection of rotating books, cds and dvds ( seriously, check the dvds / there is some great stuff there you will NOT get on Netflix.) Get a library card and pickup anything. Get a Presto card for free. Join online and in person educational workshops. Access to the largest library system. In.The.World. See? Nothing less than 5 stars here, folks. Support your local library.

As usual, amazing little TPL library, the main entrance is on the side, in the alley. The front St entrance is closed.

Jay Kurt Laroa

Does anyone know the Wi-Fi password for this branch (if there is a password)?

Anon Tablet

Small collection and nonfunctional Wi-Fi. Worst TPL branch I've visited. Maybe that's why it tries to hide its entrance. If this is your local branch, condolences.

The adult book club was fabulous!

I spend most of my time there. My lovely place????

Omg. I got my bag stolen here. This is a very small place and there were no cameras. I was concentrating on my computer studying and my bag was in the chair right next to me. A woman kept wandering around and looked suspicious, but I concentrated on my studies again. I'm not going to this place again.

Recent experience, a couple of months ago - I got a notification that the book that I reserved arrived to the branch, but when I got to the branch, the book was not there. OK, it happens, I went to the staff member to ask. The gentleman at the desk was unfriendly and arrogant, he explained to me that this book is not even available for loans and totally ignored my info that not only I was able to put the book on hold, but I also got a notification that is available for a pick-up. He was just smirking and repeating the same thing, regardless of my explanation. The way he spoke to me was very condescending, and the whole conversation left really bad impression. He made me feel that he was doing me a favor just talking to me, and as a customer I am not used to this type of attitude. I expected a simple, 'Sorry, the system is not perfect, this is what your options are'; is this not what a customer service employee should do? Other librarians at that branch seem to be more friendly, but that experience, that arrogance and attitude from that particular librarian made me really upset. Next time I am in the branch, if he is there, I'll get his name and post it here with my review, hopefully his manager will read this message.

Not much selection. I use it to pick up the books I put on hold.
