Very nice, clean and spacious library. There are a lot of work spaces and computers for you to use. Unfortunately, a lot are often being used. It can be hard to find an opening. Still, the layout and atmosphere make this a nice library. Friendly staff too.

Ashes Turino

Good spacious and great customer service

It has most of the community literacy needs you can expect from a library. From toddlers to students, audio equipment, audiobooks, computers and how to classes you'll find a lot more when you visit.

Such a big library and its location is awesome for those going to school or institutions close to this place. Stuff are good in it so that this palce can be your next station to study or rest.

(Translated) A bunch of children are walking around the quiet places reserved for studying, singing songs everywhere. At least four adults with them in addition, it is rather a daycare without direction. Dirty and too noisy to study, we keep hearing voices everywhere.

Great location for studying or working remotely. There's plenty of tables to sit at and free WiFi that works well. If you are looking for a quieter place, it can sometimes get pretty noisy and I believe there is a room that is a quiet zone. The only drawback is that in the study areas, one can every so often hear the kids in the children area or people in the washrooms.

Melissa-Dawn Bessey

Welcoming midtown library with an array of different collection and seating areas. Lots of youth programming both free and paid and family movie nights.

Asaf Tischler

Other than the fact that it has WiFi, which every library has these days, it is one of the most uncomfortable spots to study. Thrifty spot and is not being taken care of logistically. People are noisy. homeless people come in and do as they want, kids section is in the open and they make TONS of noise daily. Also the staff there is not even trying to do their job. Also there are not enough spots with power sockets.. Come study here only if you're out of options. sometimes I find it less noisy at the nearest Starbucks..

Joel Kesler

Great to have a library near home. Decent selection of books. I wish it was larger and was open later however.

Very noisy. Kids running around. Staff talks loudly at the reception area. Second level is closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Quite dark and a lot of echo. I was only allowed to reserve a computer for max 1 hour and I was unable to reserve a longer timeframe. I won't be back.

Debbie Ridpath Ohi

Great location, friendly staff, great collection of children's books in a dedicated area for young people.

Fantastic library, staff and services but could use more to match that of the nearby Reference Library.

I go there every day to study. The Internet connection is fast. You have a huge variety of magazines, newspapers and books. There is a space for kids, a kind of "private room" for study or have a meeting and computers. It's a good place to study (sometimes can get noisy though) and very friendly staff. Highly recommended!!!

Great place. Friendly staff, good location, clean. Nothing to complain about.

Jeanne Cristobal

Decent wifi connection. Everyone has to wear mask at all times. It's nice and quiet as a library should be but sometimes, some inconsiderate people chats loudly and talk on their phone so loud. Some desks are a bit filthy. So I suggest you also bring wipes/lysol with you.

I would love for the branch manager to figure out which staff member completely dismissed my colleague, completely refusing to help her, due to a language barrier. Come on — it's the 2020s in Toronto. Being told 'I don't understand you, so I can't help you' in this city is insulting. I'm sure that if that staff member had asked around to find someone who speaks either French, Spanish, or German she would have landed on someone who could have translated for my colleague.

Nice and quite library with free wifi.

Our organization has used the library for an event and will use more. Everything was great. Library team is a caring team, and supports as best as they could to make it a positive experience.

I've come here often to study and was sitting in the area that is RESERVED for teen (age 13-24) from September to June with no problem most days. Today I was asked to leave the area because I'm not a teen even though the area has many empty seats while other tables that are not reserved for teen are filled. What more upsetting was the librarian who was walking around asking for people's ID, stopped asking once she figured out I was the one not ALLOWED to sit there. It's a reserved area for teen, not a forbidden area for everybody else who wants to use the public library, especially when it's a busy time of the day and the teen area is the only area with empty reserved seats no other else can use. Does it make sense to you?

This facility is a rowdy day care center and NOT a library. I tried to go there during the weekdays and it is unbelievable - they hold children and toddler events basically all day so you have crying children, misbehaving children running around and knocking over books, children disrupting you and poking you as you are studying. If you have young children and want a place they can run around in then this is the place for you. If you want a library where you can read or study then you better stay very far away from this place. Management - please stop calling this place a library and call it what it is - a day care center with books.

Kaveh M

I found the library very cozy and roomy. The staff are really nice and considerate. The library is divided into nice useable sections that can be utilized for different activities. The parking might be a little bit problematic but the its proximity to subway transit make it really continent. :)

Good library, clean.

Nice, spacious library. Stable internet connection, friendly staff, clean environment, ample study area. Also has a nice dedicated childrens area. However, this library among other public libraries, is known to be exposed to a HIGH incidence of theft. My macbook was stolen from this library while i attended the restroom. ALWAYS make sure your valuables are with you, even if you step into the bathroom (from my experience)

Very accessible for people with mobility issues. A bit old but functional. The only "issue" is that it is not easy to find nearby street parking. They now operate with a COVID protocol.

A good library and not busy nowadays. I had to take urgent prints... they helped me beyond their timing and solved my problem. Thumbs up staff

Obnoxiously loud, and the people here obviously didn't want to be librarians, so they are quite rude to people who aren't teens in the teen section. Hopefully, Doug Ford takes down this sorry sham of a library.

Went to use computer & printer, am senior in late 70s, found it a bit challenging & confusing. Staff member was very helpful & patient. She even walked up later to ask if I got all my printouts etc, very pleased & thankfully.

Great library. Air conditioner is way too high though.

This place is not a library. The place is so loud, either by children SCREAMING with absent nanny’s or by random people SNORING loudly. They have a silent room for studying but get this, between the hours of 9:30-12:30 and 1:30 -5pm, it is turned into a playroom for children. I got so frustrated about how loud it is in there, that I went to the nearby Starbucks where it is A LOT quieter. A library is meant as a place to study or read in silence, not a place for infants to scream, cry and disturb people trying to study. It is insane that they transform the quite room (the only place to study with minimal noise) into a playground. Disgusting... I am a resident of the community and now I have to drive to the reference library to study.

Andy Milly

Vikas Jain

Nice staff .. very kind and helpful.

This is not a library. It's a kindergarten. Screaming children and talkative people everywhere. Don't come here if you looking for a piece of silence

Romeo Juliet

good location. decent collection and relatively quiet (depending on where you sit sometimes)

Mari Jenkins

Loud talking and children misbehaving. To many people are eating food. Wonderfully helpful staff

In short: so sad that the library is so large but poor designated area for study, total noisy, a good place for talking over the phone and eating lunch, If you want to study perhaps Tim Horton would be a better option!!!

Michael Alexander Martinez Pardo

Love this library and the corner I use for reading

Lots of single seat chairs; pretty big place. But they always have children’s programs going on during the day with kids and babies crying very loud.

Very noisy - children are running everywhere in the library. People are discussing and laughing loudly, even near the so called "quiet study" area. Someone sat besides me was eating very smelly food - do not think it is a good place to sit and study

This is the loudest library in the GTA! They have great study areas with big comfortable seating and large desks, but there is always someone yapping on their phone or a bunch of people at the front making a ton of noise and none of the staff ever doing anything about it. As a student studying I have to blare music in my headphones in order to concentrate. It's incredibly frustrating and since Mount Pleasant branch is closed, there's no other option than to study at this location. I wish they would make a better effort to provide a peaceful and quiet atmosphere like every other public library does.
