Great variety of books both in French and in English. The library organizes activities for children and adults on some evenings. On the first floor, there's a very large section for children. Upstairs, it is quiet and you can study alone, or rent a room for up to 2 hours for group work. They have recently opened a section for teenagers in the basement.

Quite often, the most popular books will not be available; also, English books are not available here in large quantities. If you are looking for French books, this is a perfect place though. Main complaint: The library is closed on Sundays during summertime. That can be very annoying for some, but apart from that, no big problem.

They added a corner in the entrance of the library where you can admire several butterflies and insects to catch the world. Very nice collection. I made the renewal of my card and the lady was very kind and smiling. I spent more than an hour and a half doing all the rows. I chose several books in different subjects. Ils ont ajoutés un coin dans l'entrée de la bibliothèque où l'on peut admirer plusieurs papillons et insectes d'attrapes le monde. Très belle collection. J'ai fais le renouvellement de ma carte et la dame a été très gentille et souriante. J'y ai passée plus d'une heure et demi à faire tous les rangées. Je me suis choisi plusieurs livres dans différents sujets. Endroit très calme et respectueux.

Great library in Brossard. Be sure to signup for an electronic account so you can put books on hold to be picked up later. Large selection of DVDs also. Espace Bouvry has insects on display at the entrance.

A very good library to study. It's very quiet and there is a security guard. The WiFi is slow but usable. The variety of books is immense. On the second floor there are also computers for projects and you can rent a room to do projects. There is also a relaxing space with 3 La-Z-Boy chairs to relax on the first floor.

Not sure what is happening lately since reopening but there are people speaking really loudly while in the library. I understand if you need to whisper while at the registration desk but shouting on the second floor shouldn't be allowed. Staff says nothing and as far as I am concerned it is unacceptable. It is taking away from our need to find a quiet place to study, especially during these times. Make sure you bring noise-canceling headphones.

The brossard library has always been a great place to work, read or study. Now, with the newly renovated Children's section, the library is a must-visit for families. There are many interactive activities, books, and lots of cozy places to sit and read. There are also pedal desks and many areas to sit for doing homework. All of this in addition to what was already there; adult fiction books on the other side of the downstairs area, adult non-fiction and older teen fiction upstairs and lots of spaces to sit, work, and read. As well, their staff are friendly, helpful and really make you feel welcome. Also makes the perfect rainy day activity!

I love it there! I'm a teenager myself, and in the basement there's a room where you can study, eat, and use electronics. I often go there with my teammates to work on projects. Plus, the staff is very helpful. Whenever you need something, they are ready to help you.

On my last visit, a mother had headphones on while the father slept next door on the armchair ... and during this time their children clearly disturb the customers and those who respect the rules leave by mistake of being disturbed. Really disappointing that no one intervenes, even after talking about it on the spot. (Original) Un beau lieu avec plusieurs ressources mais il y a un manque flagrant de respect et de surveillance dans le coin enfants qui devient de plus en plus une salle de jeux. Je ne comprends pas comment est-ce que c'est toléré, à la bibliothèque, que certains enfants courent, sautent, parlent fort pendant que leurs parents les laissent aller. A ma derniere visite, une mère avait des écouteurs sur les oreilles pendant que le pere dormait à côté sur le fauteuil... et pendant ce temps leurs enfants dérangent clairement la clientèle et ceux qui respectent les règlements partent par faute de se faire déranger. Vraiment décevant que personne n'intervienne, et ce même apres en avoir parlé sur place.

It's a rather small library with limited resources and books, especially books on learning another language are outdated. I mean who still has audio and video cassette players!! Staff is nice and parking is not plentiful but available. Mostly French books available, however.
