Our treasure in the heart of Woodstock. This renovated old Carnegie library is fully accessible and has maintained many of the charming accents that you expect to find in an old library. Many sections available - children, young adult, fiction, non-fiction, reference, periodicals, videos, CDs, Toys, etc. Public computers available. Great selection of historical papers, documents, etc. Lots of quiet nooks, comfy chairs, and large tables available to accommodate whatever preference you might have. My only complain is that occasionally the staff are very unfriendly and and unwelcoming, particularly on the second floors. Parking can also be problematic during peak times.

The Woodstock public library is amazing I recently just took my friend and her sister which loves manga and she was soooo happy with all the manga they have there and I had so much fun taking them

Staff is fantastic, good colletion of books, self check out but need to implement group study room or silence room or study area beacause there is always noise from the quiet study area. Its not quiet study area.

I have been going to this library as a little girl and loved playing the board game and finding new books to read, from playing the game and the little prizes you got from the game. Now I'm in my teenage years and I still enjoy all of my visits from looking for books for a resaearch paper to looking for a book from my favourite author. Amazing environment for people of all ages!

The Woodstock Library is my home away from home. You can come to read books, build a puzzle, hangout with friends, do school, or play on the computers. Great place and nice staff, too.

For this big library I think it should have the option to request new books. In a small village called Otterville, with its small library. They have the option to request new books. Will be going else where.

It's the quintessential public library. Academic, cozy, and full of options! Honestly one of the best libraries I have been to, and I'm from the GTHA.

It's actually pretty decent for a library. I'm impressed with how automated it is, having self checkouts and e-mail reminders when books are near due, etc. It's nice to see progressiveness and change in a place known for archives (library). They also rent audio books, movies, video games and more! This place is a real page turner. :)

Library is great, staff is helpful. The mobile app for ebooks was switched to an inferior app, it used to be better with overdrive, cloudlibrary is not a good reading experience.

It's been a superb place to visit with my kids. My kids love it a lot. Very clean and calm place to be in Woodstock.

The library is a nice place however it is not suitable if you are trying to study for an exam. There is no silent study area and its impossible to get any work done. There is a 'quiet' zone but it isn't quiet there at all. I have emailed the library to express the need for a silent study zone but got no reply back from them so I assume they aren't too interested in receiving suggestions/feedback. Around lunchtime kids from the local school go there to socialize in large groups and eat their lunch which isn't really the purpose of a library

I think this is the top library in Ontario. Wonderful building, fantastic staff, and all the materials one would need. Just wish it could completely open.
