DESCRIPTION

Here you have all the feddbacks of people who bought the services and products of Windsor Public Library Central Branch (Library) in the territory of Ontario (Canada).

Now the firm has a score of 4 over 5 and that rating was based on 63 reviews.

As you can read, it has an average rating is really positive, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the valuation is very credible. If people have bothered to evaluate when they are happy with the service, it works.

As you know, we do not usually bother to place feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

This place is honestly like home to me. They have so much material you can learn from! And they are constantly updating. I get very excited when I see new books at the library. The thing that I don't like about the library is the fact that the material is a bit outdated, and sometimes i can't find what I'm looking for. But other then that, I LOVE it here.

The best place to study is on the second floor in the left corner. Wi-Fi and charging outlets. Wow

Found the staff disinterested, not very helpful, and not tuned in to very young readers. We spend lots of time in the library. My grandson enjoyed Riverside where he could play and read. We moved to the west end and tried the main branch. Here they send the preschool children to a small room in the basement full of toys, poorly supervised, overcrowded with kids and parents, and with only baby books. This playroom is pure chaos and the children's book section on the main floor (at least 5 times bigger) is left empty. He is 4 and loves to play and read books. He wants to go back to Riverside and I don't blame him. There he can play and find books he wants to read.

I've visited it last year. I really liked the openness, the direct access to the bookshelf, the no need of ID-s to choose a book and read it at a table. And "voilá" I found even Hungarian books.

Really enjoyed my time here, got my material to read and I got plenty of help from the staff too

I was excited to learn the central branch is coming downtown but this has made me miss the previous location. Forget separate floor, there is just one floor and it's more a flea market than library! Everyone is just chatting on top of their voice, and this everyone includes, the staff foremost. There is no decorum, or iota of silence. The staff themselves chat as if they are in their living room, forget about disciplining visitors. No one can hope to study in silence or peace without noise cancelling headphones. So, either one can chat, watch a video, or just read something. Serious study is next to impossible. I am extremely disappointed

Homeless people occasionally take up residence in the bathrooms. The library has the standard resources you would expect: rooms you can book for studying, comics and movies to borrow, even video games. It can be very disruptive when people abuse the facilities. The library will be closing soon as it has been bought by the downtown mission and will be turned into a homeless shelter full time, instead of the part time residence it currently is.

When had no way to get to the mission and went library to charge up my phone and look for a spot to stay. I was stuck there as nobody from the mission came for Mei was unable to to charge phone, The manager bought me back a burger from McDonald's at his own expense and pushed me after the library closed to the mission.

I have mixed feelings about the direction this library is going. First, the old location might have been the best in the city - and they close this location to create a homeless shelter - (I mean what!) Second, they used to have a huge selection, and for reasons I don't understand, they reshelved their books and basically cut their circulation in half. There are literally dozens of books I wish to read that are no longer on the shelves! *However*, I have visited the new location of the Central Branch and I think it is fabulous. There is a beautiful open concept that I love, brand new carpeting, having the look and feel of a modern library. Therefore, as I said, I have mixed feelings about the whole situation...

Great selection of books and they have increased their DVD collection as well. I love it. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Childhood Memories here. Its always been a pleasant experience from a kid, through college and now as an adult building my career. It'll be a sad day when WPL moves from this location. :-(

Wonderful library with a generous selection of resources and reading materials. The space itself is very inviting, large and unique. They have a really neat tech hub for kids, but all members can use their 3d printer. I found the younger staff to be much more friendly and helpful than most of the older staff.

First of all any book you want is pretty much at your finger tips. There is a wonderful play area for my young kids and access to all kinds if books!!! Which you can borrow, FOR FREE! (Yes Taxes) so why not take advantage of what you are paying for? The staff is nice and are there to help. We should understand that they are not Janitors or child care experts. Librarians are guides to what every your mind desires. Treat them with respect and they will almost always fo the same. Last Sunday was Wonderful, and where we go whenever the kids say they have read everything in their library and just has nothing to read anymore!

The manager Jody is a rasict. A black man was in the library today and a white man commented on his pants being low. The black man responded to the white man “why do you care?”. The black mans pant were low but not dragging nor any undergarments showing. The white man wouldn’t back off from the black man and continued verbally harassing him until the black man became angry in which he started raising his voice. Security comes over and immediately approached the black man and asked him to come with him. Rightfully upset, the black man says why only me? The security guard did not respond. Jody the manager heads over and the black man is still asking the security why he has to go with him and he’s getting upset and says he’s not leaving he wanted to continue working. Jody hears the man say he’s not leaving and says yes you are you are trespassing now and kicked the innocent man out. The white man remained in the library. Could the black man have lowered his voice? Sure, but why should he have to when being bothered while working because someone doesn’t like his outfit. I hope this library is investigated. Disgusting behaviour from the manager and security guard.

Thanks for letting me know! next time ill bring my screaming toddler into the library with me. idiots
