During the pandemic now, the library only offers curbside pickup. However, when I arrived 3 days ago, there was a sign at the front door asking patrons to go to the "south entrance" to pick up our holds. When I went around the building to arrive at the south entrance, the door was locked so I had to go back to the east entrance (front door) just to find another sign at the employee entrance saying that we need to call the library for someone to get our holds.

It's a great library but there's little available at the moment - there's only ~50 books to browse and everything else has to be put on hold in advance. There's also no space inside to sit and read, although there are benches and trees outside.

It looks bright and lots of private study area. Lots of books for kids and lots of toys for kids with different ages. Lots of programs for kids. The staffs are very helpful. Check in and check out books are very high tech.

Tons of seating and a bright space to study. But it is always so LOUD! It sounds like there is constantly construction going on. Loud banging for hours. ????????

Loved this library prior to covid, still a great library. Curbside pickup is quick and simple.

This library, like most other MPL branches, has lots of wonderful stuff for you to discover. It is virtually impossible to get a spot in the afternoon on weekends; I usually have to go to another library if I want to work. I do like it though, it's cozy and nice. I think it'd be nice if they reconfigured the table settings so people can share those GIGANTIC tables instead of taking up a whole one for one person. This library doesn't have any single "cubicles".

A very large library with tons of selection. From movies, to computers to books they have it all. The staff are always very friendly and know their stuff. The inter-library transfer could be a bit faster but that is just nitpicking as it is all free. I just wish I could read fast enough to keep up with all the books I want.

Great environment, friendly staff. Most desks/tables are equipped with power outlets. Yet there may not be enough tables/desks/cubicles some time.

I called ahead for curb side pickup and the man on the phone tells me to go to the front door to pick up. When I got to the door another woman came out from behind the door and started yelling at me, and without even first checking with me, that I have to call first. I told her I did but she continued to yell at me. Very rude and disrespectful librarian. Before jumping to conclusion she should ask first, and pls, ask politely. We paid for her to have a job.

Went to send a fax only to discover that they no longer have a fax line. Would have been helpful if someone would have picked up the damn phone after dialing for 20 minutes, only to waste gas to find this out, and what makes me even more mad is the fact when i asked about the fax, the employee i spoke with snickered at me

This library is fantasy. Compared with other libraries nearby which looks more modern, high technology style,I like this old fashion building. Staffs are friendly and helpful. My younger son like the kid zone very much (although it is closed now due to the pandemic.

Very fast service to pick my books which I had put on hold

Disappointed with trying to pick up a hold today. MPL is still offering curbside service only while all other branches are open for in branch browsing. I had to call the phone number 4 separate times because everytime I would choose this branch, the phone would hang up after one ring. I finally got to speak to a staff who was abrupt and curt when they spoke to me about my hold. I gave two stars because after I spoke with someone, they did bring out the hold fairly quickly but there was zero ounce of customer service. No hello, no letting me know when they item was due. They just called my name, put the book on the table, and left. It would have been easier and faster to walk inside and find the hold myself. Not impressed with this experience and I am hesitant to continue to use MPL. It's worth the drive to go to a different York Region library.
