I don’t know how some people call this place a library. It’s extremely loud! Security is rude. Staff is friendly enough and helpful when you need navigating the building and books. The only reason I’m giving three stars is because the only quiet area to get any work done is the silent room but the seats are so limited! They need to get their act together and get this pace running like a REAL library and not a place where people can socialize! Oh and good luck finding a parking spot close to the building on workshop days. If this library is the main branch in Ajax, I don’t think I want to know how the other two locations are running. A shame.

Love this library for both the access to books and media (DVDs, CDs) and helpful assistance from the librarians. There are open spaces and quiet corners. Was also impressed with the events schedule.

Quiet place a lot of collection of books scary, animated, novels, comics and etc. Good place to work on projects as well. I send my kids there every 3rd day and they are well educated to find what is good and knowledgeable for them. They ask to go every day and overall good network, WIFI, Good place to concentrate on work. Visit Now!!!

I love the layout of the library, it isnt all walls of books one after the other. The design is interesting, there is color, and something I love is the variety of areas you can sit. There are more secluded places, corner spots, sunny spots, big desks, small couches, I love is :) In addition to all of this, the staff are very friendly and the library is very peaceful and relaxing, just to be in.

The library is spacious and abundant in inventory with books/materials in lots of different areas. Also, the study area is clean and well lit, and very suitable for focused studying. I came to study over the weekend and I was able to find several books in my industry that could help me study for my extra-curricular courses. Highly recommend this library if it's not too far of a drive :)

Overall, the Ajax Public Library is an excellent place for quiet study, variety reading, welcoming/knowledgeable staff members, and movie nights for the kids. That being said, as a previous university student in theological studies, there was no books available to assist me during essay seasons regarding almost any religion at an academic level. For such a large library, I'm surprised that they didn't have much of a religious section when they have plenty of academic books on many other subjects.

I am very happy to live close to the main branch of Ajax Public Library. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Always there to answer a question or to explain how to use the application for borrowing an ebook. When I wanted a specific book I got it through interlibrary request. I have been used with Toronto Public Library, where the process was very easy for getting what I needed. This is why here, in Ajax, it matter very much how helpful the librarians are. Here they are wonderful! A plus: there is a specific entrance and a specific exit. So, please, come to this location without concern. I also add the cleanliness of all spaces too. Great place to spend the time, or to borrow books.

Excellent staff. I registered online and it turned out to be an issue as I needed to have a physical card to check out physical books. However, the staff took only 5 minutes to sort things out and handed me my card and books.

I would like to know if the library has any behavior rules or rules of conduct for visitors? I couldn't find out any. I really like to come but why the people don't matter about the volumes of their voices or put the cellphone in vibration or silence mode. Nobody's say nothing Some days, like today the second floor it seems a coffee shop! Today was difficult to keep working focussed. I miss the library back home????

It’s pretty good here. I recommend it for getting a book. And also for reading sitting there. Very quiet and the staff are helpful. I had a not so popular book series that I was in to, they had the whole series. I really love the variety.

Library is clean, quiet, friendly staff, and has everything one needs in a library. I am a Pickering resident and I come to Ajax to study because it is very quiet (in contrast to Pickering where the lack of quiet study areas and being loud and kids running around is the norm) and has the right environment to focus while studying. Pickering library should take a page out of Ajax' operations.
