I arrived as a girl was walking to lock up tonight. I said ‘I have three books on hold to pick up’ she said ‘they will be really mad at me if I let you in’...well, I’m pretty ticked that after a long day and racing straight there on my way home I wasn’t allowed to take three books off the shelf, run them through the computer and come home with 3 books to read on holiday next week. I am stunned that I wasn’t allowed in.

Literally make up their own covid regulations/restrictions and rules regardless of what the provincial regulations are. Won’t even let you study with one other person and have about 3 chairs in the entire library. I understand being cautious during the pandemic but some of the outdated regulations at this facility are not in effect at any other town of Oakville library or facility the operators of this library clearly just don’t want anyone to come here and actually use the tax payer funded facilities. Can’t recommend anyone go here who actually would like to study or get some work done without being hassled.
