now this is a nice friggin library with lots of people to help, might get a bit crowdy cause of the students from school. but a lot of books.

Back when I was a Grade 12 high school student, I had happily used this public library branch as a study space since my school's [Holy Trinity] library closed pretty early after school was over. Back then, the noise level was pretty mild and I was able to find a relatively quiet space to study either on my own or with friends. Fast forward to 2019. I am now a 2nd-year Sheridan student coming to this library after Sheridan's WiFi doesn't want to properly work with my devices. What do I get? A noisy crowd of students treating the place like it's a shopping mall. I don't know if the White Oaks high school population skyrocketed after these few years, but it has really taken a toll on the peacefulness this branch used to usually offer. That being said, the branch is still pretty quiet on days when there's no school taking place.

Good selection of books and nice desks and computers for working, but the atmosphere is toxic. Students don't understand what a quiet library is and get super loud. Librarians don't know how to take care of this issue and just treat the students with disrespect and kick them out. If only they'd be willing to explain and be nice, the students might actually listen. Customers will most likely comply if you respect them when telling them off - Simple customer service. The so-called "dumb teenagers" will either feel insulted and complain about the rudeness or laugh about it afterwards, instead of learning that they have to be quiet. Overall, all the people here on behalf of white oaks need to GROW UP! PLEASE learn to problem-solve and stop bothering the rest of the community!

Whatever happened to the days of quiet libraries??? I came in to use the computer and have some quiet job searching. I needed to focus but what happened??? A group of teens decided to sit right next to me in all the chairs..not even using the computers..just sat there talking and being rude!!! If you want a quiet place...go to another branch. This place is noisy!!

The librarians are very rude toward to the students. The library is part of the school and it's not much of a public library. It's more of a school library and i hate how they are so rude to the students. Ive seen it multiple times. I don't think how they treat the students is acceptable and should be prohibited. I have heard them say things like "NO SITTING ON THE GROUND......THIS IS NOT YOUR HOME...." to many students. This one time, I heard one of the librarians say "if it looks looks like a meal, smells like a meal, is a meal, it NOT allowed in the library and you need to leave now." Overall, the librarians are disrespectful to the students and I would not recommend this library. With all that said, this is my opinion and experience over less than a handful of visits. I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, however, I have never come across such horrible employee to costumer treatment.

This is loudest library I've ever visited. There's a school that connects to the library & its a nightmare. Why aren't their teachers here to supervise the kids??? This will be my last visit here.
