Recently. I was at our down town PUBLIC library Nanaimo on Commercial. I've always had the understanding that being in a public place was not the same as being at a private establishment. How is a picture taken in a publicly paid establishment paid my taxes a invasion of anyone's privacy.Anyone attending a public library is in a public function and no way remotely private.

No hours of operation anywhere... Slack website with no helpful information... Don't need to waste time to find out they closed on a Monday...

The library has ask sorts of wonderful features! They beyond books and other print media, they have a ton of DVDs, CDs and other digital media available. They have computers and printers available. Private rooms that can be reserved, great for working on group projects.

This library has the best resources and the staff are amazing and knowledgeable. We just found out that the library has e research that you can go into, if you need to find out mechanical information, under auto repair. The gentleman took time out of his schedule to help us with this information. Unfortunately, I did not get his name. Thank you.

Downsides: Not the nicest part of town, parking is hard to come by (paid parking below), and washrooms are now locked requiring assistance from the librarians to open. Upsides: beautiful looking part of town, spacious and easy to find interesting content, nice desks and free computer use area.

This is the worst library I've been to in all of my history! The people who work there are mean mean mean! They are bullies! And cruel and heartless and just pure pure pure mean! I will never go to this library ever again. I've been to all 3 libraries in nanaimo and my most favorite library in nanaimo is the one at country club mall.

Experience strongly depends on who's working. Mostly staff are friendly and very helpful. But definitely got a few rude & unfriendly members on the team
