Good place. Lots of books available. The staff is friendly. Convenient option to increase the rental period over a phone call. Kids are always happy to go there.

It's a nice library. Staff are very helpful, place is orderly and well arranged. It's a busy place, as there are two High schools in the neighbourhood, but I've never found it noisy. The overall library service is excellent, and the book selection is good and quite up to date.

Peaceful here love it

Dustin Tzirulnick

Loudest library I've ever been to. Upstairs is the "quiet study" area, but it's overlooks the main floor which apparently does not have a quiet policy, so upstairs is not quiet at all!

Joanna L

Always visit at weekend, almost once every month. enough seats, friendly staff, nice view at the big window. Advice: If you need quietness, dont stay at first floor, can be very crowded with kids and high school students around.

Located in the heart of Erin Mills, this library is directly across from Erin Mills Town Centre. It has plenty of parking and the building is well kept. it's physically connected to the Erin Meadows Community Centre and St. Aloysius Gonzaga Secondary School. It's winter right now and it's covid lockdown so there's not to many people out and about. Stay safe out there people and keep washing those hands!

Canada Reviews

It's a medium size library. Most books are at the bigger size libraries.

I was told that there is a commissioner of oath here who can service newcommers. I called and booked an appointment. I cam on time and looked everywhere, asked everyone and knocked every door in the building yet could not find her. Upsetting experience.

The best library

Impossible library to get any work done. Even the upstairs "quiet" zone is never monitored. Good library I guess for kids or if you don't need to study/work. Tons of kids

Keep the timings of the library updated or better don't show it if it is not correct.

Good library to study at, has a decent amount of books but there is more left to be desired. Staff are all nice and helpful. One downside is the schoolkids during their lunch breaks and after school hours....their entrance into the library just turns the whole silent atmosphere on its head. Bring some good headphones or earplugs.

So glad it's open again! Nice modern location with great resources and staff. Love taking the kids and going to this place. Such a great use of our civic tax dollars to create a safe welcoming shared space. Plenty of parking but it's on the far side of the building.

Best library ever! Whenever I come here I feel so loved and welcomed. It's almost like a second home. If you're lonely and need friends, come here, trust me, you won't regret it. Please sponsor me. <3

Well stocked shelves, great kids’ play area and plenty of books. It isn’t too busy, but not completely quiet either. Used to visit frequently, and will continue to do so when it opens :)

A nice place with a great selection however it is frequently busy and can get noisy

Rest Ready

Not a quiet place to study. There are very rude, loud and disrespectful high school students on weekdays between 10am- 4pm and they are not told to be quiet by the staff. There is quiet study room, but it is usually full or you can hear students/children in the near by computer lab. Do not come here if you are looking for a quiet place to study. I'm not sure why they don't have the children's programs in one of the community centre rooms or in the high school cafeteria.. No respect for the people who come to a library for SILENCE or to get some work done.

Naseer Butt

Excellent service and staff at the library remain available to attend on any time. Treat in highly professional manner.

Spacious!

This library is terrible if you want to get any work down. First of all, there are so many noisy high school students here that have no respect for the other patrons of the library. Library staff never tells them to be quiet. Constantly making so much noise inside that it interferes with anyone trying to get work done. Secondly, the "quiet" area upstairs is not quiet at all b/c of the glass "barriers" that do nothing to keep the noise away. ALL of the noise from downstairs is heard upstairs. Including the songs playing from the children's section. There are zero partitions for noise here. There is a single room with like 5 desks and 3 plug outlets, and that is always full. Third, the study desks are almost always dirty. Not sure if any staff actually make the rounds to wipe them down. I have to bring paper towels or napkins with me to wipe them down b/c they are so nasty. Overall, it's a poorly designed book depository masquerading as a library that is too noisy to not be classified as a place where one can study, and dirty enough that if you want to study there, be prepared to bring napkins and wet wipes or you're going to walk away with someone else's crumbs attached to your clothes. Ew.

this library really has a lot of good things for people to utilise. used to come here all the time when I was younger to study, use their printers and rent out books. The staff are amazing.

The washroom that I was sent to did not have automatic doors. After struggling to open what was to me a heavy door, I then had to hold the door open and struggle to get my walker through because there was an immediate left hand turn that was barely wide enough to get the walker through. When I left the washroom I looked around in the corridor and saw the 2 washrooms, a lady's change room and a family washroom. Only the family washroom had an automatic door. It has been my understanding that all city property, including public washrooms, are to be handicap accessable so I stopped by the reception area again to complain and I was given a card with the name, phone number and email address of the building manager. When I got home I sent an email about this to the building manager with a copy of it going to Mayor Crombie. I received an email from the building manager who the gave me the run around about why a city building built in 2001 had public washrooms which were not handicap accessable. Neither the Mayor's office or the Mayor herself replied to the email.

Erin Meadows is a medium size library. Don't consider it as a study environment or a regular type of library, it's like a social environment for kids. Just like other reviewers' say, it is full of secondary school kids for chatting. Second floor is labeled as "Quiet Area" but it's not. Young staff is very helpful and supportive but the old lady I encountered on the entrance desk was very rude and don't know how to communicate at all.

Malcolm Thomas

Neat and organized library, always a nice place to visit with the kids.

One of more efficient and quaint libraries layouts in Mississauga for having locations around library to do reading or independent work. Staff is pleasant.

It's a good library but quiet study room needs to be bigger, often occupied and no more space for additional students or people to study in which resort them to study in quiet study space. Noise isn't kept to a minimal, last time I was there there was a baby who was crying and it was disruptive to my studying.

Awsome. Nice staff and good books. They also give u a long time to borrow stuff.
