Small but great library

This library is garbage. The worker is so bored that she has to babysit everyone into following rules that are absolute stupid. My friend was chewing gum and she told him to stop eating in the library

Not sure why this library is even functioning...complete waste of tax dollars. Every time I've gone there, which is regularly, the staff are chatting among themselves and quite loudly. We try to keep our children quiet out of respect for others, but yet the staff conside this a place to social ize.

Nice well maintained place. But have a limited books collection.

Rekha Mekala

Haytham Aboulabbas

Friendly staff and calm environment but limited books collection.

Ravindra Trivedi

English language collection is reasonable. But in absence of Central and Port Credit libraries, I would expect a good size collection of world language books. Unfortunately, that is not what I found. For example, with a large Gujarati community in the city, twenty five books and 4 videos on offer is pathetic. Hope , this message would bring a positive change.

I agree. I have issues with people talking loud on their cell phones. Staff did nothing, but told me to use another library ? I told her this is my library, I pay taxes for it. The people disturbing us should be told to go to another library.

ari

They told us to be quiet because we were being too loud when literally 2 minutes before that, the lady was practically belting. New person btw. I hate it. I just don't like the unprofessional and hypocritical staff.

Sreejath S. Warrier

Wonderful staff, a good number of browsing workstations. Has a pay and use printer. The library is a bit small, so the in house selection is analyst. But you can have books from any branch sent here for pick up.

The best day to go is on Sunday because it is not as busy as other days and most of the people return their books this day, so more books on Sunday which means more choice mainly for teens and kids

Book variety is good and there are enough computers to use for projects. Parking lot is fairly large compared to library size. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Perfect place to return books from any other library in Mississauga for those who live nearby.

Jackson Lu

Can't find my book

Gule Asifa

Not gud as burnhamthorpe library is but still a good small library.

Julia Vital8y

On a small size. Very few programs for kids. Reading hour is really 30 min. Not even a change table in a washroom, the building locks it so u get a key from staff... weird. Staff is nice though.

Honestly I'm not impressed by the staff at this library. Constantly talking to each other about irrelevant things. The people in the library are very well mannered and stay quiet, I don't think it's fair that the readers/users of this library have to stand that. Another complaint I have about this library is the poor quality of Wi-Fi. An important part of any public place now is the access to the internet. This was really a problem as I had come to the library to finish an important assignment, but was not able because of the lack of connection. Many other people in the library had the same problem and when we asked the staff they had told us that our devices were the problem and many of us were angry. Therefore I rate this library 1 star, and don't recommend it to others.

Good place to be.

The only functional library in the area, as other libraries nearby are closed for renovation. Please increase the number of computers as they are needed to get the print and wait time is too long. Though the lady at the reception was really helpful and courteous. She tried to get an earlier slot for computer for me, but none was available. She referred me to print shop nearby, A-1 Copy and Printing as I needed the print urgently but I would request the library staff not to refer any one there as it is kind of a sketchy business. The price on the parking board says prices as low as 3 cents per print and they charged me $2.5 for single black and white document, which is over 10 times the average rate for a print. The price list was hidden behind the wall somewhere.

Good resources and study area is also quite good

First-time experience yesterday, as I was looking to print-off a document (I was a non-resident visiting the area, so I was prepared to purchase or receive a visitor’s card for a nominal fee). After standing for almost five minutes waiting to be acknowledged by a librarian sitting directly in front of me, I then stated my intent for being there, and provided the appropriate government-issued ID. After being informed that I could purchase a Non-Resident card, I inquired about the price, had a pamphlet thrust in front of me, informing me the cost would be $30/year! After sharing my shock and surprise at how incredulous the pricing was, I was then able to secure a guest pass, and printed what I needed. The cherry on the cake was learning that a patron has to turn in their library card to access the lock code to the bathroom...As a neighboring resident in a nearby city, I was deeply disturbed and turned off from the entire experience-definitely a first and last for me :/

Nice quite place to go for a short period of time. The branch is really small and not much book to browse from. Nice workers and an overall nice place

Amol Muzumdar

Very nice library. A cozy cove in Cooksville. Love the staff, always eager to help out. Timings are a bit short, but well nice place to study quietly.

Romana Kousar

I Ratell this library 1 star because the staff at this libray are constantly talking and are not helpful. The people at this library are really quiet and all you can hear is theasy staff talking about irrelevant things and I do not recommend this library for anyone else

Ravindranjali Trivedi

Cozy, enough books to satisfy even avid readers. Not enough multilingual choices

Location is convenient, staff is friendly, and parking is typically available. However, study area is small and not isolated enough.

You have to ask for a key to access the washroom. Bad internet. Not recommended.

Located on 2nd floor in commercial plaza near Hurontario st and Dundas st. Intersection. Small play/ story area for children. Few quiet study space. No dedicated parking for library. Parking at rear of building.

I have always found the staff professional and very helpful. When someone couldn't solve my issue with ebooks, they found someone who could. I even had an appointment with one staff to help with my ereader. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff.

I find this a convenient library to visit, however, I find the staff there are extremely unprofessional. Libraries are supposed to be quiet places. Not so this one. Readers are quiet but you find staff constantly socializing, chatting, telling each other their life stories, weekend plans, etc. and all within hearing distance of people who are either trying to read or working on the computers. There have been several times I've actually "looked" at them but they've ignored me and just kept on their merry way. They have now opened up "self-serve" check outs. When they were first introduced, I asked one of the staff to check out a number of books for me. She directed me to the machine and very condescendingly, "guided" me through it. I did mention that I'd have preferred that she do it for me. Turns out I had checked out 2 Lightning loan books and the printout showed 1 to be returned within 1 week and the other 3 weeks (for which I'd have been charged fines). If this is what's going to happen with self check out, I can imagine the problems people are going to have. I do check out a number of books and as I finish them I drop them off in the drop box of this branch. A recent problem I had was when I received 2 emails informing me that a certain book was long overdue. I was certain I had returned it and finally called up Central Library. After being put on hold, it was finally concluded that I had indeed returned the book. Again, I revert back to the question I started out with - what are the staff so busy doing? I personally find they are overstaffed.

Laxmi Patel

Not a place for quiet study. Staff considers this place to socialize.

Chris D

The lady with the red hair that works here is SO beautiful

Sachin Malla

Staffs are very nice and helpful.
