One of my very favourite places! The library is located in a building with a unique pyramid-shaped roof that previously showcased the collections and artifacts of the Costume Museum of Canada, which has since relocated its headquarters to Winnipeg's Exchange District. The library has a good selection of books for personal reading, a quiet atmosphere, numerous computer stations offering internet access (and printing, for a small fee), and the Multi-Purpose Room is a meeting place for a variety of community groups, including Toastmasters International, as well as supporting library-organized recreational programming for children. I particularly like the Online Catalogue feature that allows patrons to check the library's availability of a particular book from their device anywhere that has an internet connection, and also allows general online browsing of the catalogue via New Arrivals, Top Lists, and Suggestions based on your search. The library assistants are always friendly and pleasant, and the library has a book where patrons can request the library acquire a particular book for inclusion in the library's collection. Inter-Library Loans may also be arranged for requested material not available at the Springfield Public Library. Check it out!
