With respect that this library is here to help people trying to find employment/hunger/social assistance. They need a big reality check. People are struggling in the community and need more than the help that they are providing.

I love the food box program that is run by the community resource center here. $10 once a month for a box full of fresh veggies and a couple of new recipes to try based on that months selection.

walk up. ask if the computers are open, get stared at like i have 2 heads, literally have to ask 2 more times before i get a reply. the people who work here are real winners

I would have given it 1 star if it didn't have a nice atmosphere (thanks to the huge windows letting natural light in). *Do NOT come here if you want a quiet place to study*. One librarian at this location spoke so loud, we could hear her on the other side of the library. It was so so distracting we ended up leaving.

As much as my favourite branch of the London Public Library is the Main one, this one is a stand out for my needs in Eastern London. While I never knew this branch by its original building, the current one is a beautiful welcoming one when I am in that area. What I really appreciated was their battery recycling program which used a large plastic carboy to deposit depleted batteries.
