REVIEWS OF Muriel Arnason Library IN Langley

Kyle Duncan

Very friendly staff who know my son and I. Very helpful and polite. Decent selection of movies and books.

It is one of fraser Valley regional libraries located right next to the city hall of Township of Langley. It is slightly bigger than the one in Walnut Grove. There are some parking spots outside the library and at the upper deck of the building which can be accessed through the city hall. Fantastic staff!

Gi SL

Amazing place but sometimes so crowded and no place to sit.

My opinion has changed on this location. My visits of late have been very pleasant thanks to the kind staff who are usually up for a laugh. This location is a short walk, so it is nice to make a quick trip and nab a book. I wish it was bigger, but I would still prefer a small library over no library to be certain.

If you are going to a library to study or read something in a quite environment, avoid this one. It is a strange library in terms of noise, as it is the loudest library I have ever seen. But, the staff is nice and always do their best to help you. So, I just get my DVDs and quickly get out of there!

Not a good place to study as tutors don't whisper or speak quietly and there's always at least a few screaming children. Would be nice to create an enclosed/soundproof study room or have the librarians walk around and remind people to lower their voices. Good selection of books but could have more for kids 0-3.

todd galagan

Great little modern small library

Crystal Zhu

Nice place and nice staff. But need more books.

The moment we enter the facility, we were greeted not with a smile but a loud announcement directed to us, that they close at 5. I quickly looked at my cell to check the time and it was 4:52pm. My husband lined up at the front desk to return previous books while my daughter & I quickly picked random books for her summer reading club. This was done in a flash (return/borrow). My husband apologized to the elderly librarian but instead of acknowledging his sincere apology, she just shrug. By 4:58, I was already filling out 2 easy contest form (name, tel# & the jelly beans count) when the Indo-Canadian guy was motioning to my husband & kids to leave and kept on saying we're already close. The way they treated us made us feel like a dirt they're eager to get rid off. We understand it's Friday and everyone wants to go home to their families but they could have done something different, something less obvious about their distaste with us. As we approached the exit door, the guy said have a good day. Well, too late for that, the staff already made us feel like $h!+. We love going to walnut grove library coz of their approachable & friendly staff but since Muriel Arnason is closer to where we live, we decided to give it a try. It's only been our 3rd time at this location and we will never come back after we return the recently borrowed books. I work at a medical facility and I myself wants to go home on time too. But when a patient walks in 1min or even few seconds before we close, we still serve them and treat them with courtesy & respect. Different line of work but should be the same concept. Very disappointed.
