Great study space!

Michael

Deepak Vishnu D

Very good place to study. Very quiet.

Satish Kumar Polisetty

The best in UW libraries (10 floors) , it is actually open for Undergraduates but even graduates can come and use this place. It has a good cafeteria inside the library itself and this is known for giving the beautiful view of the University

My details of this library are being written after a particularily distressing snowy evening trying to find a cellphone charger, but that's not going to blind my review - just try to get a cellphone charging stand!!!! This library is cool, modern, and has really helpful librarians at the front desk, at the door enterance. Don't distress if you don't find what your looking for, just walk among the books and parouse the titles. You're going to find out something for sure! It's interesting to see what others are reading too. Always attentive of your own noises, and keep it light to keep this library open for everyone and a great place to hang out. xoxo love your style.

Huge library. Lots of desks where you can sit and study. Fairly quiet beyond the main floor. There is a printer you can use print credits on and a little coffee shop. There are also collaboration booths you can use with your groups. There is also a basement where it is pretty quiet but has more comfortable seating than the higher floors. There is also a little cafe with nice windows.

Two elderly Asian woman in the circulation desk do not speak English good enough to work there. I had to explain them one issue several times. It is really sad that University of Waterloo hires employees with communication incompetency.

Tamara Khalaf

Vastly superior to the Davis Centre Library

성민박

It is a god place but desks are old

Stefan Chirila

The HUGE University of Waterloo library > open most nights until 11PM > free WiFi for guests > quiet study space in the basement > security guard protected :)

Quiet. Books scatter the shelves as far as the eye can see. Complimentary water fountains on every floor. I used to study in here but stopped because I kept getting lost due to its labyrinthian nature.

Easy place to study as there is ample seating and desks on most floors. It is very quiet here as well and the sound of janitorial staff sweeping the floors in the evening is very soothing. The ‘old book’ smell provides a sense of nostalgia.

After flying fire fighting in Kuwait in 1991, I somehow ended up on the UW campus, with no memory for why and the reason was probably related to my work in Kuwait, and I ended up being guided to apply for a job the library by circumstances that were possibly artificial. i did work there for a year or two, and thought I loved it at the time except there were strange problems that I now believe had to do with predators that I was unaware of at the time, some of whom seemed to have jobs on the campus. I was not often treated fairly and this was systematic. I was pushed out of my job by extreme sexual harassment and I have not ever been apologized to nor compensated for this. I was deprived of all benefit and I strongly suspect that I was lied to about benefits as part of a systematic sexual diss that was totally unfair to me.

The only building that had several handicapped parking spots in the campus, so convenient for visitors and it's huge.

One of the finest university libraries I've ever been to. It is very organized with differentiated rules for each floor. It usually opens to undergraduates but I can come in as a visitor with no problem at all. Really like the study atmosphere as well. Wish I will be back soon.

Good place to study. Lacks space because of COVID restrictions.

One of the quieter places on campus to study. Many floors, so always possible to find a space. However, sometimes it take scanning a few floors to find one.

Usually has free space to study in.

my lovely library.... miss it

It is a really huge library, it has 10 different floors. The upper floors are for quiet study and the lower ones are suitable for groups. Rooms get really busy so book early. Otherwise it is a really good spot to study on your own or with friends. They also have a small cafe/coffee shop on the bottom floor. WAT card is accepted here.

Great place for silent and group studies which are divided by different floors as to isolate silent and noisy sections. Also has a food section on the main floor for study munchies

Excellent place to study. Different floors have different rules for noise levels: Group study, quite study, and silent, where even phones must be on silent mode with vibration turned off.
