Beautiful building but the previous location was more accessible. Parking lot is hard to access, parking is extremely limited, library hours are sparse, library is exceedingly small. Why not just renovate the previous one?

Beautiful building and convenient location, however, one of the staff members (a male) was super rude to us once. We went to drop a book off and I was concerned that the book drop may be closed (because of covid, I figured they'd want to sanitize each book, guess not) so we went inside and he yelled at us!

Pros: The entire building is one level, which is helpful for those with mobility concerns. Spacious with lots of natural light. Self-checkout and drive-up book drop off slot available (they didn’t have these at the old location) Cons: Exceptionally terrible location. A library should be within a community, not alongside a busy thoroughfare. The old location was within walking distance of several schools, daycares, a community centre, and many residences. Currently, it is challenging to turn into the lot if you’re coming northbound on Archibald. There’s also not a lot of parking. Note: They have the exact same hours as the old library did.

Why move farther away from all the schools, off the major bus routes and have less parking? Horrible planning from the city.

Awful hours- not even open until 1 and closed on Wednesdays.. Also there's only about 6 tables to study at while there's a huge play area for children (making it noisy)

Worst library in the city of Winnipeg CONS 1) full concrete structure = no cell signal 2) crappy winter hours 3) large play area for kids,(larger area than they have for study space) MAKES NO SENSE 4) they have about 6 tables in the whole building once they are taken there is no other space. 5)staff will not tell the kids that are screaming at the top of their lungs to be quite(useless staff) 6) generally terrible design with little to no parking for the entire building.

I love the building. Super nice and sunny inside. However, the hours that it is open are horrible! It is almost always closed when I want to go study!
