We are only giving 1 star since it doesn't give us the option to pick 0 stars... My husband called the library to see if they had any books at zero cost to children who visit the library. We were visiting Jasper and were hoping to make our 3 year old daughter feel more at home while operating on a very limited budget. My husband spoke with a nice gentleman who said he did have a couple of books he would be able to give our daughter! We hurried over to the library and my husband took my daughter in. He met with the gentleman who then handed a few books to our daughter. Overjoyed, our daughter gave the gentleman a huge and loving, THANK YOU! Then out came a woman who asked if our daughter had a library card... When my husband explained that she didn't, she took the books away from our daughter. Who takes books away from a child after they have been given to them? Our daughter walked away heartbroken. In the future, I hope this library chooses to spread the joy of reading to children when they have the chance.

Beautiful Art Gallery with nice local artists on display and in residency, wonderful library, some municipal offices downstairs, and today we got to meet the Mayor, and Jasper the Bear there!

Nice facility, modern and newly built lots of space to read or work on the computer. Many outlets and seating areas, all over just a beautiful library. Banff needs to keep up!
