This library has a wide selection of books, CDs and DVDs. Most of the time, I am requesting the items via their online site. The staff is nice and courteous. This place is one of my favorite spots in Dartmouth. Keep up the good work!

I don't think I can go to any library in this city without some part of it being loudly under construction. Does Halifax not understand the point of a library? Whether it be here or at Central, be prepared to hear drills and saws for no good reason.

Been there alot...for me,the library is awesome,the staff are very helpful,knowledgeable, professional good people.i always enjoy the place,and the services offered such as upcoming events,use of computers,a wide variety of choices such as ordering books,dvds/ bluerays and of course books...try a visit!

Nice place to relax lots of glass for warm sun to penetrate. Lots of people with no masks getting out of the cold had to leave building. Everything was closed boxing day but I had 40 minutes to wait for my bus waited outside.

It's pretty quiet, save for the guy who thinks he's at home, talking too loudly on the phone. No staff have stopped folks from being loud there. I wish they would. Otherwise, there are still some places to just sit and read. They have cleaning stuff around as well.

The staff there are so helpful and friendly - especially Alison in the Children's Dept. I love that they engage my children and help them find books. You have to pay for parking and returning books is a hassle there but it's worth it. The whole library system in this province is amazing!

I like it, like the vibe, staff is nice. I always have problems with wifi though. I prefer to bring my laptop instead of using one of the terminals but sooooo often the connection is slow or spotty, constantly having to click "troubleshoot connection issues" in order to nudge the connection back into any activity, makes for a frustrating experience.

Great place. My baby can crawl and learn how to walk there. Also I could find many books for him to read together. We always go there and spend our wonderful family time.

There is a slob that is there everyday at Alderney Library with his buttcrack hanging out. No one seems to notice this but he is loitering. And using the library as a source of wifi. Someone kick this slob out!

I hate this place. the guy that wrote about the slob is right. Most of the staff are rude. The smelly bums and gang banger wannabes are something else. Don't get me started on all the useless crackheads and meth addicts.

Staff dont understand how to use the equipment. They will waste your time and money here and they straight up just hide when they dont want to deal with the disgruntled street people anymore. Talk down to you if you appear disabled. Talk down to you despite not knowing anything about the technology. Waste your computer time not listening to your requests. Some do it ok but others are very bad at this job. Need better training.

Staff are friendly & wonderful. To me, the Library is a safe space & there are always places to plop down & read. Very Covid Friendly, though their hand sanitizer kinda smells bad...so bring your own wipes to sanitize. Everything is well organized & very easy to find your favorite authors.
