Quiet one.

Such a nice auditorium.

I have only been here two times. Facility is not top notch and probably I won’t consider it spotlessly clean. That being said, the second floor area has always been quiet to me. There are also plenty of computer stations for use. Bear in my this branch does not have a card payment for printing yet, all cash.

This location is a decent mid sized library. it offers alot of different books you would not expect to be there and has lots of space to sit with a laptop and work quietly. The desk staff are nice as well and will help you if you ask.

Probably the worst library of city. Worst environment, people talking loudly even in silent reading area. Children just come to play video games, elders are just coming for chit chat. Not good for quite study.

KAY

Its too too noisy for a library.

Donna Kakonge

The librarians were even kind enough to put my book The Spirit of Kasacba in the display area! Thank you!

Nice library, lots of books with a lot of variety. Sometimes parts of series are missing when the rest of the books are there, though. Friendly librarians who are always helpful. Boardgames there are usually missing some pieces, though. Always an available computer, with nice internet speeds. As well, free public WiFi is available. CDs there are usually scratched and useless, though. Always lots of nice events happening, including some newer movies being shown.

This library has a lot of noise most of the times and the staff don't really control them, right now a man is making call really loud beside me and no one is saying anything as if it is normal. washroom could use some real cleaning. its mostly disgusting. no private study room.

As of October, 2019, York Woods library is closed temporarily its door for a major renovation of the library. The renovation is expected to take place for about two years (24 months) according to the library's website notice. So, I expect, it should be done by the end of October, 2021 or around that time. During the renovation period, temporary library for this branch will be at Yorkgate Mall which is located at the northwest of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West intersection.

Larger library on two floors. Main areas can be noisy.

Niamh K

Nice staff. Very friendly. However this library isn't the most suitable place for having a peaceful time studying. Lots of noise made by the people who come there. Its at Jane and Fince and the crowd that come in are too loud. There are few people who are quiet and nicer but over all it very disturbing there.

I love coming here. There are not many people in this library at the times I go, study desk is usually available. It is noisy though with kids being kids, adults and elders being themselves.

The timing on the computers are too short, but the staffs are very helpful.

It’s closed as of oct 21, 2021.

If you went to this library as a kid, then you've probably experienced first hand the overwhelming nostalgia. Its like stepping into a time stasis, where everything about the architecture of the building and its furnishing feels so 90's. I myself probably visit every 2-4 years, but I think thats what makes it fun. The last time I went, I was a middle schooler. Now I'm in 11th grade, and my outlook on life has changed quite a lot. And when I went back today, it was like I could see things in an 8th grade perspective, like I could see things as I used to.

It's a nice place to study and get some work done. The staff are very helpful and (mostly) available when you need something. Unfortunately the restrooms were not very hygienic on most days I visited. But otherwise it's a good library and has a small, nice play area for children. Find a good spot and you are set to spend a few hours on work.

I have no choice but to come to this library. The only reason I hate this library is because of the noise levels, even on the second floor which is supposed to be quiet area. People are talking on the phone while other are trying hard to study. Library staff try to help but they don't bother beyond a point. Teenagers come to this library after the school hours and are there for good 3 to 4 hours and during this time library is full of noise. I have complained repeatedly to staff and wrote emails that the guards must come and stop people making noise, but after a while the same situation of noise kicks in. If there is a quite room where people can study without disturbance, this library will be very good. The content present at this library is good. Its just that the noise levels during weekdays after school hours become unbearable and one looses their precious study time.
