Only a few librarians show excellent customer service. A lot of them were rude and unfriendly to the people. One of the lady librarians have the nerve to tell me that's it's your fault for the outcome of the photocopy service I did (coz it's a self service). That's why I don't often go there as much as possible.

The Toronto Public Library system has over 100 locations - this one is usually quite packed with patrons playing minecraft - a good selection of dvd's that you can take out from this location - Documentaries - a whole shelf full - a lot of National Geographic documentaries - A Richard Trus review.

Beautiful library, but it's being used as a school cafeteria. It would be the perfect place for reading/ studying if it wasnt for the children who come afterschool and stay unsupervised during the whole afternoon. Groups of children on the first floor just running and playing, and on the 2nd floor, groups of older children using the reading desks for eating and talking, just spending their time as if it was a public park. About the quiet room? it is nicer, but still lots of people using the tables for eating their lunch. A behavior policy would be perfect for this place!

I've done most of my studying here for the past 3 months and the staff are friendly, the space is beautiful... But if you're here after 3PM it gets packed with screaming children playing video games. And unfortunately this does not seem to be a priority for security/staff. This brings down the whole atmosphere of the space. There is usually always one person snoring extremely loud in the back area as well. I hope in the future security/staff deal with these disturbances. If you are planing a study visit in the afternoon, bring headphones!

Really great library with a good selection of books and other items. International books available here as well. The library tends to be a little noisy in the first floor area because of the children section. Second floor is a great area to study.

The staff is great and very welcoming, the library is not huge but has quite enough to suit everyones taste. Must admit that there were alot of kids making noise and weird people just snoring or using the space which is made for either reading / studying .. i did see the security and members of staff taking action. So they do as much as they can do.

I enjoyed costumer service over phone, yet could not find what was I hoping for which is using fax in smaller branches. Please add Fax system if you can. I understand that data regulations and costs for ink and paper are high but majority of people still use Fax.

I come here almost every day. A nice quiet place to read, study and write. Although the kid's area is a bit noisy, the upstairs is kind of nice. Maybe not perfect, as there does tend to be quite a few homeless people, but overall a very nice place. I find it generally clean (even the bathroom) and the staff are super friendly. I actually did make an artwork that was hung up on the wall at this library, but it was stolen. For anyone who decides to contribute art, beware the low security. (For things other than books, like my art.) Overall a very nice place though.

This library don't have the since of knowing the meaning of fairness, equity, respect and privacy, they love to ruin someone's reputation and label them without having an actual incident being done at them. I've experienced the worst, horrible deceiving treatment that a normal person wouldn't like to have, this library is bed and their staff is rude. I would the public to say away from this location.

Good for children's activities, but too noisy if you want to read. Unfortunately, the computers where they let children play computer games are right in the centre, so the noise disturbs everyone else. Staff seem to be ok with that.

A combination of gritty brutalism and contemporary design. Decent collection and computing facilities. Can be a bit noisy and messy but can be avoided in the quiet study room.

Hearing Eyes

This library has a great location as it centers around many people and has food around like Tim Hortons. It also has a great selection of books and magazines. Unfortunately, the visitors here are mainly kids shouting at each other on the first floor, and homeless people loitering on the second. There is a musty smell in the entire library. So combine smell and loudness, it is not exactly your typical expectation of a library experience but it is a lively one. I like their computers very much and printing services, they also have a lot of programs which is good.
