A nice place to find good reads. However, it tends to be noisy at times. And if it gets crowded, it’ll be quite hard to find a seat. Most staff are friendly and helpful. Registering for a library card is quick.

Who doesn't love Libraries. This is not the biggest one in town but that staff are nice and the selection is fine

Lots of programs for youth, with a great spot for independent study. The silent study spaces could be enforced a bit better, but altogether its a great library situated in a convenient location.

hidden gem in a peaceful area. not much space, few power outlets, but if you can find a spot and find a plug, this will be your home away from home. Not too noisy, pretty peaceful. Today it is -20 windchill, and the heaters are coming on often enough to make me feel warm n cozy.

Genevieve Anderson

Nice architecturally modern community library with decent selection for its size. Easy to check out and drop off books now with the self check-out machines. If you're looking for a quiet spot to read or study, this is not the place.

Afzal Rahman

Pretty good small-middle sized library.

Hazel Regan

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. My only request is that they post signage reminding visitors that this is a library and to try to respect that fact. The other day I was trying to find a book and was totally distracted by a child who was screaming and crying (in the open area) and his mother did nothing to control the kid. The staff should have stepped in.

I called the library for information about opening library card and I was attended by Melony. She was extremely patient and helped to open it digitally and was not in a hurry at all to hang up the call until I got what I wanted.

Probably one of the worst public libraries in Toronto... the staff are extremely loud. If you want to get any work done just go to Brentwood instead

Don't go here. The staff is rude and unintelligible, and there are barely any tables.

Aurore ESPERANT-COLOMBOT

I returned a book to this location and their staff lost it leaving me with a charge.

One of the great branches of the library, it has a lot of seating area and features recent books. You would usually find a free computer and they have a printer as well. You need a library card though to use those, but do not worry because I am sure you can still use them if you don't have one but may have a process you need to follow (I have done it in the past when I did not have a library card). Parking is free and usually empty and there is a drop off box to return books outside to the east side of the building. It is across the street from a Loblaws so pretty convenient. Accessible by both Toronto and Mississauga public transit.

Inderjit Grewal

great for children if you’re living close by

Leslie Brlec Real Estate Services

Love this place. I have been going there since I was a child. Awesome place to spend the afternoon. The staff are very nice and super helpful. Right across the street from Loblaws in Etobicoke on the East Mall. I hope libraries such as this one will be able to withstand covid and the advent of the internet. Nothing like getting your hands on a real book. I strongly recommend this library.

Decor here is quite modern and the facility also has a self-serve library book return machine. The library is well organized as all libraries should be. I would recommend this location.

the staff extremely rude there is a lack of people skills

I love this library. Its nice and quiet and the staff is kind. The place is also well lit

BlueeM

Big hall with books. The quiet study space is a joke as with all branches in my area. Even the staff is noisy sometimes.

Good library but the workers are kinda' lazy

Amber Nicholas

This is a library? Staff is below average of good customer service. Always attitude and sense of self entitlement but I guess for a city of Toronto worker what to expect?

guri chahal

Noisiest library in Toronto. The "quiet area" is a joke, even with ear plugs in. It seems like the library staff make no effort to watch the volume of their voices.

Pamela Bowling

Helpful staff no judgement

oscar flores

Asha Dziopak

Rude staff. Need to upgrade people skills.

The library itself is great. Location is great too and the staff is nice, however, I think they should really work on posting up signs for people to be quiet. The level of noise seems like you're in a grocery store shopping or something. Its pretty loud. People freely play loud music videos/ movies on speaker, have their phones ringing constantly and talking on the phone. Definitely not anywhere close to a library environment. It is a great place to pick up your book and leave, but if you want to stay and have a good read or study. Not the best place - a Starbucks store might be less noisier.

Vince Carmine

Nice place, free parking

Marilyn Hards

great service

Silviu Simen

Anton C

A lot of books

sanjana kumar

Nice location to use for studying.

Anon Tablet

District library level collection and amenities. Modern architecture in a parkette. Can get noisy, but mitigated by bookshelf placement, carpeting, and staff intervention.

To quote others: This library is a joke. I only come here because my library in York Region doesn't have a book I was looking for - unless you have something like that, avoid this library at all costs! I spent 10 minutes waiting in line at this library, only for a librarian to tell me that the Holds Area was self-serve (I was new to TPL), and for her to point out 3 different carts where my book was. The Holds Section is out of order (i.e. not numerical), and I spent way too much time looking for my book. The staff here are incredibly lazy and a joke. This library is also uncomfortably loud. Eatonville Staff - if you genuinely hate your job and want to be paid more, work somewhere else. You're setting a horrible example for the many kids that visit this library.

Very disappointed in this branch. I rushed to get to the library on Sunday and walked in as people were leaving at 5:01pm. I was abruptly ushered out by a man (who works there) telling me they are closed and I shouldn't have come in, someone must have left the door open. I left but here's why the library is becoming obsolete. In this day of digital books, those of us who make the trip and are 2 minutes late need a bit of a brake. Perhaps the question should have been "is it something quick?" Yes it was, I was trying to pick up 2 on holds. I didn't even need anyone's help to cash out --hello Self Check out. This would have made my day rather than ruin it. People have become so self centered that helping out is no longer part of their job. I know at my job, when a customer is running late or keeps us longer at the office, we wait and we do it with a smile. Or next time in this case, I can just download. So don't be surprised when the need for your job is no longer there Librarians. Keep up the friendly service (sarcasm).

Fatima Khan

Nice and quiet library. Staff have always been exceptionally helpful and kind any time I've asked questions.

Peter Palermo

It's really nice and I choose to do my studying there from time to time.

OMG Load voices: people talk as if they are in outdoor market place.. They laugh, joke, talk and more in the so called "library" ???????????????????? It is very hard to study here. There is a public events room with kids + teachers playing with very loud voices all over. I hope that TORONTO PUBLIC LIBRARY take control and change it to make it more library as it should be!!! Even staff at the desk talk loud ???? t???????? (very nice helpful fun people, but the environment of NOISE**) I will give them ONLY 1 ???? due to quality of the environment

I usually come here weekday mornings, and find that it's usually quite quiet, the WiFi is responsive, and it's easy to find a seat. I'm surprised that other reviewers complain of noise, since it's consistently quiet at the hours I visit. If I were to make one recommendation, which might also address others' noise complaints, it would be that the quiet area should have more individual seating (booths, single desks, etc.) rather than the round tables that they currently have. It seems odd that in an area presumably for independent study, so many of the seats are at large, group tables, which would only serve as a temptation to socialize or group-study.

Very small. No private study space. Essentially a big hall with books. But good for just picking up a good read or using the internet. The staff is however very helpful.

Phill Gallant

plenty of parking. And very clean

Sandra

Was just there. As a lot of other reviews stated poor service, they asked questions multiple times like they didn't believe me and they have no idea what's going on. I was telling them my phone number and pin will not sync even though I updated it several times, they were not listening, then came home to a Voice mail that it didn't go through when I updated it there but they're not looking into it? Told me to use old # ????. Website could improve by letting ppl know the hold Item Is at another location, when it's expected... The way its set up you have no idea if some are there or not. They only had 1 the rest was coming at some unknown time. Terrible. Overall Disappointing experience Will not go back there.

D Wilson

Great staff. Very nice. Always have a pleasant experience. Thank You.

Place is deceiving as it looks smaller from the outside. Plenty of free parking and good staff on hand.

Juliani Schmit

I like the fact the staff is very helpful and goes above and beyond to help you find what you are looking for
