Very neat and clean library. Plenty of natural light, and clear view of the front of city hall. Staff seemed very nice and polite, going as far as giving me directions to another library that had a book I was looking for. They also allowed me to bring drinks in, so that was nice. An incredibly small library compared to others I've been to. As such, not too many places to sit, unless you sit by the windows; there aren't tables, just a short platform with radiators (I think), and the chairs don't really bend backwards. The selection is, likewise, very small. Getting to the library itself is a hassle for such a small selection, so I do not recommend coming here, unless you're just in the area and need a place to stay for a bit.

A very convenient library with a great selection of DVD, audio and Books. It is located in City Hall and difficult to find - you need to go through the main city hall doors make a right and go down an unmarked hallway. - A Richard Trus review

I love the library but for some reason every time I take a visit and ask for help, the staff are so bitter and rude but in like a subtle sarcastic way. Whats your deal??? It's not my fault if your job makes you bitter but don't take it out on me????

The Wikipedia page linked to this location is wrong. This is the City Hall public library, part of the Toronto Public Library system. It is *not* the Toronto Reference Library (which is also part of the Toronto Public Library system). The Reference Library is at 789 Yonge Street, which is rather far from the City Hall location at 100 Queen St W. The City Hall library is rather small, with essentially one wide room. It has no impressive architecture or raised ceilings.

Lots of weird people. Not the best, most quiet place to study. There is also a kids corner and some activity from there. Very small also so it might get full quickly. There are better libraries for work and study, like Reference Library or Yorkville Library

Small library location that isn’t open on weekends. They do have small events like author talks here. Check the website or postings at the library for details. There isn’t much of a kids play area except for a carpet by the kids books section.

Small organized place with helpful staff. Busy and not silent. WiFi doesn't work properly sometimes if you're using it with your own device. It'll either keep disconnecting intermittently or connect and not work or not connect.

This library is small and fairly crowded. I find that the all the computers are in use and can take a while to wait for one that is free. The amount of books is also quite limited.
