I love the layout of this location. It just feels fun. The program room is also fantastic, because it's basically a mini auditorium. What I love most about this location is the Evil Genius Club activities. Lots of thought goes into these activities, and even I have fun watching my kids enjoy the program.

I use EPL monthly, but I want to give this location a thumbs up. Yesterday, I went in to get some books and return some things. As I was checking out and paying my late fees there was a librarian on the phone with someone. No joke, this poor lady had to recite a phone number at least 10 times to the person on the other end of the phone. But she was so calm, and polite, and I give her so much credit for not losing her cool, the situation looked so frustrating.

EPL has so many services on offer and is a huge asset to our community. I love coming here for new books and a free, accessible work space. I use the app to listen to audiobooks at home and while driving, and I can't wait to take some of the classes they offer. Their maker spaces offer a great place to discover new hobbies and passions, and try out new tech while on a budget. Public ibraries forever!!!

Amazing place, lots of choices for books and plus they have plenty of quite spots for studying. You don't have to pay for the membership, kudos! To the city for that. Checking in/out of books is electronic, making it fast and user-friendly. Greatful to have such an amazing facility in Edmonton.

I've been really impressed with the selection and variety of materials available here. We only just started in on the awesome DVD collection, and there are some really great programs for kids. The highlight for me is always the wonderful staff. I always get great assistance and information, and usually more than I expected!

Excellent branch! Great location! The library has a great collection of books, DVDs, video games, magazine, and computer access. The branch is well maintained and always clean; it's often a quiet environment for studying or personal reading. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This branch also features an isolation room for recording. One of my favorite locations. EPL provides great service.

June 2019 2nd visit This library has an open style environment with high ceiling and a well thought out space. The staff are friendly and helpful It was very pleasant to use the resources available in this branch. Since having kids, the library is such a valuable resource. Having 40 children’s books at a time that you can check out is wonderful. Familiarize yourself with the app - it provides many cool features. You can put books on hold for convenient pick up, get a customized list of recommendations and easily renew. Using the library has been so enriching to our lives and saves us having to spend $20 per storybook to own them. Thank you Whitemud for the exceptional service!

Adults and children here are so noisy, yelling and shouting so loud that you can hear it on the other side of the library. No consideration or respect for other people. It is like a zoo. The staff need to do something effective about this. Or at least renovate the library so that there is not so much open space for noise to travel easily.

Very friendly environment, they have a fish tank and play area for kids, puzzles blocks and ipads, whenever we get in we don’t want to go out even for adults, make your own pin and enter some contests, family movie every Sunday and lots of fun sessions throughout the week

I go here occasionally to use their computers, do some printing, faxing or copying. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Very annoying and biggest problem here is that the library is either intentionally or unwillingly providing a babysitting service that has taken over the library by kids at every computer. Everyone of them seems to be from the same family or related. More than a coincidenc Seems the parents drop these kids off who take over all the computers so if you need to use one.....good luck. They sit there playing games, having a great old time, laughing, screaming but No parents in sight. Guess they get free daycare here but staff cant or wont do anything about it. Complained several times to the staff who acknowledge it is a problem but have failed to resolve the problem. This is especially noticeable in the summer months and weekends when the kids aren't in school so appear to go here for the day . No computers at home?? Free babysitting at the expense of the rest of us,!!!

Spacious library with lots of seating areas. There is a large children's area in the back. There are also lots of computer terminals if you want to get on the internet. Easy checkout process as there are three self checkout machines. There is also lots of free parking out front.

Staff here are wonderful and really dedicated. After a preliminary and unsuccessful search assisting me find a title, I had given up and moved on. The staff member caught me 15 minutes later at checkout with the item, she had been searching for it the whole time! It was for my daughter and really made our day.

If you are looking to study/focus on anything, DO NOT come to this library. It is the loudest library I have ever been to in my life. Front desk area seems to be one of the loudest places, aside from the screaming children through the whole place. Would not recommend this place to anybody who is actually trying to accomplish anything.

Haven't Been There For Years. I Decided To Rent Some Books And Found Out That I Can Also Rent Movies. So Got My EPL Card On My Phone And Started Renting Books. Great Experience and Staff Is Very Helpful and Kind. I Recommend This Library to all That Are Reading This And To My Family and Friends

Friendly atmosphere, the front is sometimes slow if you need help. Cons I noticed shady people lingering in there but they weren't causing problems. Cheaper than buying a printer and all those ink packs.

Extremely poor customer service. Walked up to the counter to tell the fellow I think My books are overdue and I have fines. Put one book on the counter. He looked extremely put out. I asked him if I bring them here so I could pay. He rolled his eyes at me and responded I guess. So I am now fully aware he is put out with me but I do not understand why? So I ask how is this normally done. He tells me to go to the automatic return and it will automatically calculate. Which I do. I go back to him to pay the $1.50. Not sure if the "calculations" were too difficult? Or breaking a smile or saying thank you is out of this librarys realm. And hey why encourage honest people? Sheesh.

Do not come here to study, quietly read, or anything that requires a quiet place, this is the loudest library I have ever been to. Consistently packed with screaming children from open till close. More of a recreation centre than a library.

I suppose this is more for the entire library, rather than just the branch I commonly visit, but I have to say I'm continually impressed by the EPL. I love the online hold and shelves system, the number and variety of digital services (e.g., Kanopy, Gale, Hoopla), and the in-person helpfulness and patience of the staff. The book selection has also pleasantly surprised me with an unexpected range (and I think it's very good of them to allow suggestions). It feels like this library is striving to be the best it can be and include as much of the public as possible in its mission.

Completely unprofessional staff at this location. Stopped by to restore membership and order an item via inter library exchange. Spent about 20 minutes with the person behind the counter "restoring" my account and was told that the item will arrive soon and I will get email notification. One week later logged in to my account from home... No email on my account and NOTHING on the order list. What was she doing all those 20 minutes then when I was at the library? Also, search engine on epl.ca is useless. I know they have an item I ordered, but it won't show up in search, no matter how you search for it (title, keywords, etc). So... 1 star for this double failure.
