The library itself is very good, lots of books. However, the rule of being quiet in a library doesn't seem to exist anymore. Little kids should use their inside voices, some of them just won't stop talking. A library is a place to study and read/find a book quietly and having any form of disruption or loudness ruins the mood.

I really don't understand it's a Library or what. It's more like a park where everyone comes with their kids, or teenagers with their friends to hangout. It's always too noisy. Unfortunately this is the only library nearby my house, It's across the street. I was preparing for my important exam and I used to go there daily and stay the whole day. But most of the time I got distracted by the noises. Even the staff talks loudly when they are answering to someone's queries. Some people talks on their phone while sitting there and some attend their online classes without putting on the headphones. Parents never tell their kids to talk quitely. Highly not recommended for the people who actually want to study peacefully.

Went here with my elderly mother to print a lab requisition and prescription sent from her doctor. Older lady working information today around 1500 hrs seemed pleasant enough when we got there until the printing didn't print properly (missing text). Took one look at the page and literally just told us we're SOL and to figure it out ourselves, didn't even offer a refund. Well ma'am, hold up a minute, as an end user we have no administrative access to printer settings so tell us exactly what to figure out? Walked away from us with a look of disdain. I'm sorry SPL but to be brutally honestly my elderly mother and I felt like we were racialized, so rather than pursue it further we just took the monetary loss and walked away. This place used to be great and after this experience no longer is this the place I enjoyed when growing up.

I'm so glad that "my" library is open, although it would be great to see the hours restored to 7 days a week. It may be small, but it is mighty. Like an oyster shell slowly opening to reveal the pearl (or as in this case, pearls) within, it's been a pleasant experience getting to know the librarians over the course of the years that I've patronized this library. During COVID-19, these small personal interactions provide a much-needed opportunity to have a face-to-face (mask-to-mask) conversation. Friendly and helpful staff; just what one expects from a library. Keep up the great work!

I recently started going to public libraries cuz of young kids at home. I started going to this location the first couple of times. This is just not the right location of you want to study with concentration. There are young kids who just wont stop taking. Kids come here to hang out with friends. No body seems to care about the rule of being silent in a library. I guess my review will attract more young people to this location who are looking for a place to hangout away from there parents.

It doesn't even feel like a library anymore. You are not allowed to be in there for more than 45mins. There are no places to sit and enjoy a book. The employees act like patrol officers, asking people to leave after a certain amount of time. They might as well shut it down.

This library has accommodations for everyone, newspapers and books in different languages. Enough desks for students to study and computers. Staff are somewhat friendly, most of them. In my opinion, this library is overdue for a renovation, probably get rid of the carpet floors.

The City of Delta had their libraries providing FVRL express pickup as of June 1, 2020. Why is the Surrey Library not providing the same service. It would be so easy to control physically distancing in a library and returns could be held for several days if there is a concern.

very loud. compared to other libraties. The library Mgr was explaining how to print pages so loudly. I went to let her know that it was so loud near the computer roo. She ignored my request. I closed the door . She opened the door and said.This is not a quiet room study. She was rude. The other staff at the counter said,, she has a mask and thats why she is talking so loudly and then she said . Thats how she talks-they are supporting the loudness in the library and were not professional. The Newton and Surrey Library do not have this problem

It is a really quaint little library. The staff there are very nice and helpful. It is a little noisy at times for sure but I think that's because it is a small place well used by lots of people of all ages, kids tend to be a little noisy.

When the library opened up with their covid precautions in place, I visited for the first time in years! I was an ‘old’ newby and I had to start fresh. The staff were very helpful in every way, from where to look for my books of interest, to how to check out, reserve, and even how to return books, both inside and out! Thank you all for being so patient with me! 5 star service!

Thank you very much to the employees for being so kind and pleasant. I used to go to the library every day and sit in a quiet room for hours and hours to study (before march 2020). For my research, I relied on resources such as the internet and books. I am now a practicing lawyer in the province of British Columbia, and I just wanted to say thank you for all of your hard work; you guys deserve it. Clean and beautiful facility; I'd want to return only to relive my experiences.
