Great job on the building so beautiful lots of stuff for everyone to do however we found needle debris in the washroom on the floor near the kids center on the ground floor was cleaned up quickly when reported don’t allow your kids to go to the washroom alone it seems like people use this space to get out of the cold and use drugs lots of homeless people hanging out.

Now this library, this is a budding thinkers dream world. An absolute breeding ground for free thought, imagination, abstract exploration and a whole lot of fun for the whole family. Even those who read less love coming to this place because it has all kinds of stuff for every level of thinker.

The modern addition by RDHA fits into the context very will the fritted glass which resembles the motif of the old post office is a nice touch. The morphing of old building with the programming and new addition I'm sure was challenging. The skewed volume accentuates the adjacent river with its linear form makes the space great from inside looking out.

Nicely done and renovated. The feeling you get over the water is awesome.

This place is incredible! Right on the river it has such beautiful views! There is a Monigrams coffee shop adjacent to the, spacious Idea Exchange room. Such a relaxed atmosphere!

Jim Beretta

This is a spectacular facility, great views, coffee, lunch and the food is really good. It is a very unique atmosphere. The one drawback is that it should open at 8:30 AM or 9:00 AM. It currently opens at 11 AM.

Beautiful library over looking the Grand River. Very nice reading environment. It is a digital library. You can use Libby app to borrow up to 15 books. There is a laser cutter and two 3D printers free to use. You only need to bring your own caving materials e.g. woods for the laser cutter, and pay for the materials (5 cents per gram) for the 3D printer. You can go to the website thingiverse to download and work on the 3D design. Bring the file to the library and the staff will help you to set it up. There is a nice coffee shop inside the library. The staffs are very nice and helpful.

The Christmas light display was delightful.

An amazingly restored space for education, seminars, music, cuppa tea by the river, 3D printing, magazines and just about anything else that you’d like to learn about or try. Doesn’t matter if you are a kid or a kid at heart it’s a great place.

We couldn't be more thrilled to have this gem open in downtown Galt! The space is immaculate and honors all of the historical significance of the Old Post office while adding space with a gorgeous glass addition. The river view is excellent. The second floor children's area is our very fave, with ample opportunity to explore STEM activities in a bright and cheerful environment. Our son adores his visits here.

Great Halloween light show.

An excellent location. It's just opening now but already available to the public while they're finishing things up. There are musical instruments you can play, there's a great STEAM space for kids, and a maker space too. The whole building is just beautifully renovated, a pleasure to walk around in.

This is the greatest addition to downtown. It certainly warrants the name Idea Exchange, in the way that it is transforming the way we see public spaces. There are so many things for my six year old to enjoy here, crafts, building, special theme workshops, games, instruments. For us older 'kids' there is an incredible space with state of the art design, lovely views, access to technology, workshops, a coffee shop. Don't forget to check out the terrace view of the river and downtown. I just love this place!

Sheri Gauld

I love this location. I've taken my daughter and friends many times. I have also gone alone. It's a great space and so much to do and see.

This is a beautiful library located in the downtown core that reflects the new age of services that libraries should embrace! Parking is across the street with the first 2 hours being free as a heads up.

Corissa George

Fantastic place to enjoy some coffee, the views, & even bring the kids to explore & play. WONDERFUL upgrades, I remember this building from 10ish years ago. HUGE difference!

Chris Donnelly

Beautiful in and out, but not a lot of resources inside as of yet. The top floor is almost like a craft studio, but has different stations set up for guests to learn different things like soldering, sowing, 3D printer and laser etcher. Help is available but expect waits. You can also view the completely restored watch tower. I was told they are considering making access to the 3rd floor independent and 24 hour re: 3D printer and laser etcher.

The view and building are spectacular. The food offered there is nice but far from the quality of the space. Cambridge has the most beautiful river and bridge system. The Idea exchange is on a prime spot for that view. We ( Cambridge and Ontario for that matter) needs an EXCEPTIONAL restaurant and lounge in that building overlooking the river. It would bring way more tourists and visitors and regional residents out to that space. The space must be used better and more inclusively for entertainment like dining out. The Cambridge Mill can not be the only spot on that river for great drinks and meals out.

Hamideh Nasseh

I was a visitor of the first time in the city of Cambridge and a localler advised me to go there. It was the coolest library I've ever seen! Though not so quiet! But you can't forget the view of the beautiful Grand River from windows while you are drinking your coffee and reading a book!

Jeanette B

Great creative space. Nice coffee shop as well as nice views of the river.

Very pleasant.

A great place to experience technology! 3D printers, Lazer cutters and etchers, Cricut for t-shirt art, kids center, Lego room and more. Things to do for all ages.
