Poor selection of Children's books. Library staff doesn't differentiate between faculty and students. Service to faculty could improve.

avoid going to graduate common spaces in the library if you are undergraduate students. it's so easy to spot undergrads and it can be embarrassing when you are asked to leave. in reality, when undergrads enter research Commons after working hours , there is no one really to ask for help. Also, recently I noticed some students take advantage of absence of staffs after office hours and have their own gathering with food in room 7010 and when they get noisy, it easily can be heard from the study area :( PS: very limited quiet and clean spaces leave alone old tacky restrooms that are often neglected

A large library with lots of books and resources. That being said, the bathrooms are always very dirty, and in general, the place could improve on its overall cleanliness. However, the staff are very helpful and there are some quiet places to study. Also the brand new Maker's Commons is a great place to use the 3d printers, audio and video studios, lazer cutters, and other cool stuff.

I talked to one lady when checking out. I was trying to tell her that the book may be fixed up with another book but she didn't seem to care and dismissed me. It made the library seem disorganized. I wonder how this other student would feel if s/he realized her/her book cannot be checkout out. Update: I went back there when the book was due and explained my situation again. The other lady solved the issue for me promptly! Thank you!

I usually study on 5th floor, which is really quiet. 3rd floor has lots of pc. Has a good collection of books, but recent novels are unavailable. ideal for academic study, that way serves the purpose nicely.

I think this is a great place to study. The only point that I would remark is the air conditioning. At least in the research commons for graduate students there is no A/C. Being in a 7th floor it can get really hot in summer. The number of fan available are not enough. But in general it is a GREAT place to study and do research.

Typical library . Noise level varies depending on the time, day and area. Sucks that there is no visitor/guest wifi so if you are not an SFU student and need to study in the library just be aware. Nice views of campus.

NO AIR CONDITION IN SUMMER ..... SAUNA ROOM.... No way for you to study at all, I mean if some Indians say they could, sure go ahead... At least it does not work for me.... GO SEARCH ANDREW PETTER, president of SFU. Look at his career path, and you will tell why this place for sure will be failed from the start

Wifi is spotty, not enough outlets. I think more effort can be put into making this library a good place to study.

not enough individual study space, no power outlets in many study carrels especially 4th floor, low to no wifi signals in many areas of the library, and fruit flies.

Hire people who will answer the phone. Have tried calling god knows how many times and it just rings for 5 minutes then hangs up every time.

I don't know whether this is a routine or not but many times in the silent area there is construction and staff cleaning the library and it's extremely noisy. It would be better if they cleaned the library outside working hours because no one can concentrate with all this noise going on. Also the staff talk very loud aside from all the machines they use.
