Nice layout. Lots of books. A designated study area. Free wifi zone. Computer teminals and copier. Overall a great library. However hated one staff worker for making me stand at the end of a 10 minute lines twice but was not able to help.

Probably one of the bigger libraries in Richmond, the interior design is definitely more colourful and modern. Downstairs can get pretty loud, but to be expected since there are activities and a kids section so upstairs is an option. One star off for the computer lab upstairs getting noisy as no one enforces a headphones rule and someone can blast music or videos at full volume

Brighouse Branch of the Richmond Library is a wonderful facility in Minoru Park, even though there are presently some restrictions on using the library due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Outside the library is a statue of a horse named Minoru. It was owned by King Edward VII of England. He named it after Minoru Eida, the youngest son of his masterJapanese gardener. This horse won The Epsom Derby, in England, in 1909. Minoru translates into "The Enlightened One." Minoru Park, in Richmond, was the former site of a thoroughbred race track.

This library is really beautiful, big and quiet place if you are looking to study, read a book, magazine or others, use computers to access internet, print and scan documents. There are many different rooms and spaces where you can have silence and reserved place to be focused on your reading or studying. There are many kinds of training for people and some totally free. And there is a museum too, where you can find many interesting old histories about many things.

One of my favorite places in Richmond, and one of the 3 best libraries in BC. The staff is really warm and helpful. I feel that the staff must be encouraged to use their creativity to get people reading because of all the amazing ways they showcase their literature and the way they take care to decorate the library! I always find the material I need here, without having to wait. Going beyong fiction and non fiction books, you will find everything you need there including a huge selection of graphic novels, movies and CD's and even sheet music. Exceptionally clean and well decorated, RPL offers an amazing and quiet study area with all the technology needed in today's age for success. Grab a hot beverage from the foyer and go find a favorite spot to read here! 5 stars

First time attempt, It’s a big library, stuff seems to be friendly. BUT, how come a library being so noisy ??? The library worker speaks very loudly to help others. And people in the library make a lot of noise too. There's anyone who should be in charge of it? The library is a place to be Quiet!

Great selection of books, wide variety of programs and plenty of technology, including three 3-D printers, 2 computer zones and an Ipad zone for young children. Parking ranges from 30mins to 3hrs which is plenty. Downstairs is fairly noisy, but upstairs is quite and great for studying. Free Wi-Fi too.

This library is the best in Richmond in my opinion. The downstairs part of the library is quite noisy, because it's mostly for children with story time etc, but the second floor is a great place to study and read as it's fairly quiet. Over the years, they have had some technology upgrades in better computers and 3D makers. I love what they've done to the library!

Open during COVID-19 pandemic period. Outdoor book return boxes unavailable before 9AM, after 6PM, and after 4PM on weekends. The largest public library in Richmond. DVD, video game available. WiFi available. Limited seats in quiet room. Free parking. Close to Richmond Centre, and walking distance to Brighouse Station.

This large technologically relevant library, has all that one needs including a wide range of programs. There is a 3D printing learning center. Helpful staff can guide you to resources and various spaces and rooms which are dedicated for personal computing (including pre-schoolers zone), after school drop in, and more. One can spend hours here. It is also part of a community and cultural centre which has a food vendor for coffee and treats. Parking is plentiful with covered and surface stalls.

For Richmond residents, the Richmond Public Library is the best resource. Aside from a wide array of books, it also has DVD rentals, newspapers and magazines. The library has helpful staff that can locate any book or material you happen to be looking for. For those that know what to look for, patrons can use the available computer terminals to search for materials. Aside from this, the library has Internet computer terminals for those that have a library card. The library itself is situated in a building that's shared with the Richmond Art Gallery. For those that are visiting Richmond, I recommend visiting the Richmond Public Library.

This is the primary and largest library branch in Richmond. It's fairly nice inside. It's two levels with computer work stations for kids and adults. The desks have power plugs so it makes a good place to bring a laptop for long study periods. It's located conveniently in the centre of the dense area in Richmond. It's located just beside the ice rink, aquatic centre, running track and a small museum, so there's a lot of community events and resources very close by.

Nice, big library to find whatever book you need. Staff are friendly knowledgeable. I can get help whenever I need it. Browse for books while the kids play at the kids game zone. You can borrow books, dvds, blu-ray disks (I think), videogames, and new movies.

Great library! Extensive collection of books on two floors. Main floor features an area of shelves of books selected from the main collection to highlight what's new, what the staff recommends. I always start there and sometimes find an armful in that section. Lots of videos, music, magazines. Lots of chairs, couches and desks. Main downside: it's a little noisier than I like. Kids running around, people on cell phones, groups of students having meetings. But it is great to see people of all ages enjoying the library. Also a very good website, giving access to digital reference material.

It's terrible for studying as quiet room etiquette is simply followed by patrons, but that's not to take away from how this library acts as a gateway to nurture habits and appreciation for reading. 3/5 - Go anywhere else if you need to study seriously

Weekday hours are fine, but weekend hours are too short, instead it should close at 7 pm. Also I think that the library should close early on Fridays and Saturdays, but open late on Sundays, as that's the day before school starts whereas on Friday and Saturday the day after is a weekend.

Most of thx library is inaccessible to the public so it is a good idea to order your items ahead of time and then pick them up when they are ready. However, for drop in visitors, the library staff members are more than willing to assist.

City of Richmond make terrible parking rules there. Few day ago I went there study for my exam , Guess what ? I got a parking ticket! The parking lot time limit is 30 mins to 3 hrs (max) What a joke ? I can't study in Library for 3 hours ? Seriously, City of richmond should stop this stupid parking rules immediately !

everything is good but management is bad some rude people are talking while others study few years ago,there is a w man talk with me.later on,he said he is going to washroom and ask if i can watch his property later on，i left my property on the table in 2mins.when i was back to the table,everything is gone!include books and man luckily ,i told the stuff what i experience there,she believe me so i dont need to pay for lost books fee.
