Here you will see all the feddbacks of real people who bought the services of Gore Meadows Community Centre & Library (Library) in Brampton (Canada).
Now this firm gets a rating of 3.9 stars over 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is quite good, and it's based on a high number of reviews, so we can conclude that the score is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they are pleased, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to write feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Library is included in the category of Community center.
The WORST library, people bring their infant children who cry the entire time and little kids running around playing tag. The silent study rooms are always booked by people for "meetings" and teaching people how to use computers. You cannot study at this place they call a "library." It's very poorly run, there are no rules that are enforced to maintain a peaceful library environment in which people can read and/or study. Parents legitimately use this library as a means as a daycare for their kids...
Great place for everyone to hang out. Beautiful location to relax with family and friends. Beautiful pool. Due to Covid lockdown we haven’t been there for a while. Beautiful architecture.
Amazing place to just chill around and have fun! Very beneficial for residents around the area.
Nice place to skate, workers there were very friendly
The never answer the phone ????
i think its just gorgeous
Beautiful place for activities
My favorite community centre and library. Nice and clean pool and skate park
Very well kept facility with friendly staff, offering gym, swimming, steam room and group classes. Looking fwd to new cricket field being build.
Great, amazing, very resourceful place to spend and enjoy your time. just FYI they are charging $2 - $2.75 for outdoor skating
Look nice and friendly environment...multi culture place....
the chairs in the hallway have been dirty since the second day they opened....
Very nice and suitable for us as is near to our place and love the timings and services provided.
Love it!
Amazing place! It's really quiet and relaxing in the library!
Only quiet on some days. Other days, it's a zoo. The kids are way too loud. They should have an enclosed space for kids stuff rather than having poem recitals so close to the silent study area. It's not silent by any means. The property is great - it's a big space. I just wish that there was less noise.
Very peaceful
This a Is amazing place Very neat and clean Very advanced and modern facilities Huge parking Large area Staff is very friendly
Can't tell if its a daycare or a library with all the kids crying and making noises
Useless library. Too noisy. I don't know what the quiet study is for when you wanna run your stupid march break programs for kids in that room. Dont you have any other room for this stuff. And then the staff says not a good place to study during march break.horrible experience.
Great facility Improving day by day Best Events in the summer for kids I visited with my cousin and daughter
Really in service of community
Nice and quiet library....super clean......
Waooo it is big and amazing
It is awesome!
Even though it's really large, it's never loud. So much better than the school libraries. Recommend going there, it's great.
it was so cool to see this place me and my friend come her all the time u should come to
Hey, That's pretty good!
Its great place to do study or book reading. But it's annoying with kids keep playing and shouting all around main floor.
Best library I've been to
Even though the library is small, Brampton Library's amazing service makes up for it. The new fitness center and aquatics facility are awesome. The food is cheap and totally worth it. Bagels for $1.25 and Patty Sandwiches for $2.75 are a steal. The architecture is really nice and there's great lighting all throughout the building.
Modern.. lots of activities to partake of. Indoor or outdoor. Start at the library and then go outside and shoot some hoops. Teens could occupy themselves for hours.
Great facilities.
Nicely built and a big size community centre that is under expansion, waiting eagerly for swimming pool to open so my kids can go here, been over a year now hearing that its opening soon. Nice and spacious library and sitting area outside, sufficient parking.
Very busy bad place smell like Achaar
Nice new facilities and friendly and helpful staff. Have taken my kids to camp and dance classes here... would recommend to others.
I agree that the pool is big, however, the bathrooms are filthy. I agree, we need to keep them clean too, but the community center could do a better job too..
Amazing library with lots of space. There are many extra curriculars going on and it's really well kept. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. It's a great place to borrow book.
Nice location
If i would hv allowed to give rating in minus would hv given it. Guys beware about the stealing, tht is hpnng thr. I lost my car (stolen) two weeks ago, tht day only family was allowed in the pool and i dun knw why tht staff allowed sme teens to enter the restricted pool area and becz of his negligence thy stole my bag first n frm tht my car key n flew away. Unfortunately in my car both of my mobiles,my wallet was thr with all credit cards. Everything gone in 15-20 mins. Staff was tht much careless that thy didn't mind why these teens enter the pool changing room area n in 15-20mins frm the main door flew away. Because of their negligence i suffered a lot and since m new comer to canada it was so shocking to knw tht no one whether its a staff or police give a damn for ur loss.
One of the best place to spend time in self defense of all type. Very beautiful library with a to z facilities. A cool snacks counter to unwind yourself in between works. A bigger and better facility is yet to get open for all. Only a part of whole is working right now. Library opens at 10am. Rest everything is like seeing is believing. Drop in some day and spend the quality time.
Amazing infrastructure and facilities but needs lots of improvement on customer service. Specifically CSR like Marcia shouldn't be on customer facing. Looks like she wants to shoo away any customer asking question without any inclination to help answer questions about facility and it's offerings.
Great recreation center. It has a library too. Great staffs, always happy to help you.
New facility with lots to offer, and more still in development. Library can get noisy, but that tends to happen at most public libraries. Library has dedicated quiet rooms though and option to stay later in the quiet study room even after the main library has closed
New, big and clean. Nice place to fly my drone as well
Great atmosphere, fantastic resources. It's a good library.
A good community place with many recreational activities. It has a cricket stadium, basketball court, an community center etc. It's convenient to reach out the place by Brampton bus service. There are public restroom available near the community place. Plenty of parking spaces available near the place.
Ice rink is good. No wind/rain/snow in your face when skating because the ice rink has high walls and a roof.
Had an event at this location in Room No 1 recently. Everything from booking the room to event day was smooth. No Issues at all. Room was provided with our requirements and was clean as well. Local buses drops & picks up people right from parking lot ! Definitely all in one place; from library to events to kids play area to Gym.
To be honest i feel lucky to have access to this facility. It has everything you want from sports play ground to books, ready halls, gym, swimming pool, food and so more. Free WiFi. Staff is really friendly. Great place.
Very nice commiuty center.it has anything .it my first time hire.i am really impressed.
great area to volunteer bfps
Nice place to be with you..
it really nice please.
Great outdoor skating experience. Covered rink. Smooth ice. Rink is not standard size.
Spacious public library equipped with all facilities.
Great place for a wholesome experience. Nice library... Excellent gym... Swimming outdoor sports... Functions and community events... Nestled in a soothing green farming expanse. Tonnes of nature views in the surroundings. Overall excellent place to rest recharge recuperate and focus...
Best place to study ????
Very nice liabrary and community center. Swimming, ice skating outdoor games, lot of fun activities to explore. Public transit is also available around the year.
One of the biggest pool in Brampton and nice gym ,library !!! Clean and well organized ???????? Big pool but common change room is very bad idea for this area ☹️☹️☹️ Most of the staffs here is sick and tired with silly questions from customers so they don’t have full potential !!☹️☹️
Amazing facilities here. Library, gym, fitness, running track, large pool, and an outdoor (covered) skating rink plus many community rooms / conference rooms. This place has everything!
Great
Hate this place minimum 20 people for basketball when the community holds 100,000 of people this is stupid
It's a nice place,,,friendly service. All in one which is very good.
Very nice community center. Attended a marriage ceremony. Lot of covid19 precautions taken. Very clean and spacious with kitchen usage.
There should be an option of 0 star for Gore Meadows. Worst place to go to. First it took them ages to eventually open swimming pool at rec center and now that they open, they closed the pool for months, Ice rink is outdoor so no classes in spring and summer.
nice staff and good amenities
This is the best community centre I’ve ever been to! The variety of activities, rooms, and snack bars (the best part lol) is AWESOME! I love the splash pad and the park that’s outside of the centre too! And there’s also a basketball court and a lot of other things outside that I can’t even remember! All the times I’ve visited, the building would be sparkling, they maintain it very well! I took skating and swimming classes there and it was really great!
Parking lot if getting renovated there are several designated areas for entrances. Security guards didnt really check vaxx passport. Rather were on their cellphones. Paladin security needs to check on the staff to do their job.
The fact that a brand new outdoor "hockey" rink is open and unavailable for adult shinny is absurd. The community center itself is barely near any residential area, therefore what children would even have access to the community center without a form of transportation. If you connect the dots...you would need an adult who can drive to transport you there and back and they cant even access the ice surface by themselves, they need to be accompanied by their child. Makes complete sense.
Yes very noisy. Also that there are no power outlets near the tables in the hallway. The artistic furniture in the hallway is also very dirty.
Great place for kid activities.
If I could give them 0 stars.. I would. Small and, the fitness staff is promising to open the new facility but it's been postponed for so long now that I have no desire to continue coming to this gym. Not worth my time & energy. After all, the one staff I really liked left so I have no more business here.
Pool is shut down.. wonder what happened
Zach in operations is most pleasant gentleman to have a discussion with. His customer services are exceptional as he assists members to their cars if they need help. However the same level Of service cannot be said about the front desk. Overall great employees.
Very good lib6
It is a new place, recently opened, with amazing facilities... but 1. Old men playing cards in the hall 2. Changing room in the aquatic center was very cold especially for children after swimming pool. Secondly, tremendously dirty, a lot of hair on the floor and strong smell from washroom 3. It seemed very cold water in the swimming pool, again especially for children. So, I guess I wouldn't not come back there.
This is the Amazing place
The facility is really clean and the gym area has a wide variety of machines. There aren't too many of each machine so you might have to wait but there's a variety so you can do other things while you wait. There's a 50% capacity limit at all gymd right now, but it still feels a bit crowded
It’s a loud place hard to focus or study
Nice
Amazing facility
Lovely
Amazing staff and great experience.
My Kids Love Library and hangout with friends
I can't wait for the swiming pool to be done
Amazing place!
Quite well kept and amazing staff
Great library they got everything I need
Rude librarians, Loud noisy place. Nothing like what a library should be.
The library is too noisy. The parents leave the kids and are on the phone. The staff should do something about it
Good facility. Clean. Modern. Well organized. Many things to do. Good energy and vibe.
Love the programs
Hosted a birthday party at the community centre and the staff was amazing to work with. The space was big enough and the location was perfect for the party.
What outdoor rink hires staff, it is not a indoor rink, it should always be open and you come on your own schedule. Gore needs to learn from these other cities, whos idea was it to make an outdoor rink schedule and on top make you pay, why did they put it outside if you have to pay??.
Awesome gym staff, super clean and positive vibes from everyone! Been going to the gym for about a year now and can honestly say, I only come for the the positivity and friendly nature! Also very large parking lot soo I don’t have to look for parking ever!
Too noisy! Not one day, not two, but everyyyyyyday. I had to stop going there to study! People really need to realize its a LIBRARY..not a park!!
Beautiful facility, lousy management. This place should not be called a library, it should be called a daycare center or a fish market. It is super noisy. Not conducive to quiet studying, especially for the students sitting in the open or in the cubicles provided. Talking about the study rooms - There are two tiny quiet study rooms - with each room holding a maximum of 10-12 students. I am one of many students here studying for our respective board exams/professional designations - Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and CPA/CFA, to name a few. There are so many students here who require quiet study space, since the assigned small rooms is insufficient. On the other hand, there are two well furnished rooms (meaning comfortable chairs and proper ventilation) that are used for Craft/Computer training, etc. and when it is not in use, us students are allowed to use it, with the knowledge that we would have to leave it whenever they need to use it. Don't get me wrong, I am all for enriching the lives of our little ones, but there are many rooms and available space that are not being used all the time, why not use those rooms, or even the smaller study rooms? This place is not conducive to studying - far from being called a library. Many of us have voiced our concerns about this lack of consideration via Email and verbally to the staff here and the Library's Manager, but to no avail. As a taxpayer and resident of Brampton, I believe the management should address this very important issue.
Take away the schedule , take away the locks open to everyone at anytime, problem solved.
Amazing library. Super organized. You can almost always find what you're looking for and the centre has a variety of services. Technology used is efficient too.
Good location and library with good view ! But sometimes gets too noisy!
Library is horrible. Very loud, kids running around, crying, yelling, people talking, playing computers very loud. It's the worst library I have been to.
Do not like the fact that public swimming is at 9pm To 10pm that's way to late for family's
Very nasty place. Always see people kissing and touching in inappropriate ways. Last time I see a girl and guy get out a family washroom. This is very disgusting as they were probably going the ganda kam in their(if you know what I mean) ;)
Horrible place to study kids everywhere. I failed my exam by studying here does not feel like a library at all
never dealt with such a clerk...terrible
The facilitation of the OUTDOOR hockey rink is appalling. Outdoor Hockey rinks should never be locked up or its usage restricted to a schedule. For one half the schedule slots are for public skating with a significant percentage of the remaining portion strictly permitting children under 13. Secondly, skaters should never have to pay for the rinks use, all incomes goes to paying the useless instructor present (considering how many people can be on at a time). Should have expected this considering the location.
Nice, new, and clean!
The hockey rink is so bad , since when are outdoor rinks on schedules and on top they make u pay. All rinks in Vaughn and Toronto u can go on at anytime when u like , free to the public . It doesn’t make since why build an outdoor rink might as well put it inside if it’s scheduled and half the time it’s public skate ,so why waste the money on the rink just put a skate trail they need to fix this. They need to make so that u can go on when u want and be courteous of others and that’s it
How on earth was the person who designed the library selected? The community centre is fine but who designed the library? Does that fool not think that a library is a place for quiet study? There are kids running around everywhere yelling and screaming and crying bc the play centre is located OUT IN THE OPEN!! Im appalled by the lack of intellect of that fool. I can presume the person will say well there are silent rooms. Well do you know we get kicked out bc there are get togethers held there? There are fancy chairs in two silent rooms which silent studiers are, with almost consistent frequency, kicked out of so immigrants can learn how to settle into Canada, or elementary school kids can eat pizza and play board games. The people getting kicked out are studying very hard for entire days and entire years but have to relocate constantly into very small rooms where they are packed in together. What a shame and disgrace to higher education. Their moto is simple, "money over everything, upto and including eduction".
Serious Cons : - You better be there super early in order to 'claim a spot' in one of the quiet rooms or chances are there will be one person who comes in with enough baggage to occupy a desk for around 2 -3 other people who will be arriving later (or) just to occupy the entire table meant for quiet GROUP study space for him/herself. - During weekday afternoons, kids section of the library hosts special 'program' but basically, it turns into a daycare environment with VERY LOUD MUSIC & NURSERY RHYMES being recited by the staff and kids. Almost always, it's loud enough to be heard at the other end of the library (even in the quiet study areas) and more often than not, through your best noise cancelling headphones. It's almost impossible to believe you're still in a library and not in a day care at that point. - The two designated 'quiet study areas ' ( computer labs) are quiet only if you get lucky + NOT ALWAYS AVAILABLE ( There's no updated schedule loaded online either). There's an EXTREMELY LOUD LADY INSTRUCTOR who runs the programs in one of the labs so even if you're sitting in the neighboring room, you'd have to have significant hearing loss to actually ignore her loud rants through your headphones. Pros: The library itself is really well made , plenty of desks to study at and two quiet rooms with seperate desk spaces & the staff is usually friendly and helpful - hence the two stars.
The library is fantastic. I studied here a lot and it helped my career a lot. Fantastic place to study, the big quiet room by the entrance was my favorite. Highly recommended
Yesterday December 04 2018, a man passed out in the fitness room. Two young man ran to help while the staff on floor were slow to react. Staff stood there and watched. Staff was very poor not trained... this old man is someone's father could have gone worse... very disappointed with staff on floor. They were slow to react to this incident. The two young Indian boys were telling staff what to do...
Awesome place to study .. I passed all of my exams .. Thanks to everyone
Music plays very loud, can listen in silent area of library , it's very annoying. Some people talk on phone in study area. Very disturbing
We have only used the outdoor skating rink and it's definitely worth a 5 star rink. The front counter attendants are extremely friendly and patron oriented, especially Julisa Henry. Thanks to Julisa for working on Christmas Eve, Christmas day and as well as on a Boxing day to give us local residents a place to enjoy with our loved ones during the pandemic. We do notice your sacrifice. Also many thanks to the skate guard that worked with Julisa on the boxing day. She spent some time assisting and accommodating our 2 year old daughter on the ice, sorry we forgot to get your name. The outdoor rink is very well run!!
I wish I could rate the service at 0 but unfortunately that's not an option. I have been going to the facility for my kids swimming lessons since the first day it was offered. The instructors are usually very nice and patient with the kids however, the deck supervisors are just very rude and mean. I have had the same deck super for the last 2 sessions(fall and summer) and every time I see her interact with parents she makes me angry. She is EXTREMELY Rude and disrespectful towards parents and she talks down upon them. I cant wait for my sessions to be over so I can move to Cassie Campbell. They really need to start hiring people with customer service skills and are polite!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent design and architecture, however, the newly opened fitness centre should have Olympic barbells. The fitness centre is not specifically designed for individuals who practice power lifting, strength training, bodybuilding, martial arts, or sports; designed for weight loss and therapeutic exercises. Price is very competitive however. Good for broke students.
The absolute worst place to come for some peace and quiet. That's the last thing you would expect from a library. Who though it was a brilliant idea to put a day care in a library? There are children crying ALL THE TIME. There is never a moments silence where you can study or read in peace. Which moron thought let's put a day care in a library?!!!! Are you serious? Complete waste of our taxes, I have less money in my pocket because some idiot thought it was a good idea to have a day care in a library. The staff do nothing about the obvious fact that there are children crying, they never ask people to keep it down, I have never seen staff interact with LOUD people. It's a miracle if you come here and there's peace and quiet, enjoy it while it lasts because any minute now, it's getting loud again. Horrible place to study and read a book.
Love the long hours, more time to study.
Incredibly rude, frustrating, arrogant, and annoying staff at the library particularly. Unecessarily frustrating experiences are a regular experience at this branch, and nobody is ever willing to help. The staff are always more than eager to yell at people, at any chance they can get, and don’t really seem like they want to be here. Don’t bring your kids here, and don’t come to study here.
Superb place. Freedom personified
Great Place to study and play!
This place is garbage. It is so dirty and the management is terrible. The employees are so disrespectful. An employee named Zach used foul language with my daughter and she came home crying and did not want to go back. Do not send your kids here!
God knows when they are going to start swimming classes, pools are under construction from years... Very slow for one of the fastest growing city.
Very nice outlay of this location. Very kid friendly and family oriented. Beautiful place to grow and learn as a kid. Love the whole facility.
Great community center.
Nice place with adequate facility for all! It has really nice collection of books, DVDs in English as well as other languages e.g. Gujarati, Panjabi, etc regional languages. It provides quite reading rooms! Chrome book can be borrowed! And it's all for free! Really appreciate it.
Very nice place to study...for other recreational activities.... Some what noisy but can use quite rooms...
There is a wide variety of sports classes to chose from, and the trainers are very good as if they're are professionals. Specifically , one of my favourite classes is Zumba. I am very excited for when their swimming pool opens!
Too noisy
Definitely agree with many of the reviewers here. The community Center is fine. It is the library that is a disaster. Not conducive to quiet study.
One of a few libraries left. Large space for social distancing and my kids like the community centre!
A perfect place to spend free periods.. There's a library, gym, kids playground and other recreational activities take place there.
Wanted to use the rink and it’s all locked up. Thought it was for the community.
Just walked around looks nice.
The gym is great for basic training when it comes to the equipment. The hours however are very disappointing. The gym closes at 8pm on the weekends which is usually the time people are free.
I called more then 10 times and even emailed them, unfortunately no one got back to me. Been calling all week. Called other community centers they answred the phone immediately but gore never answers the phone or even reply back to your email. Beautiful community center needs better staff/management who looks after phone calls and emails.
????????????
i have been a resident of Castlemore for 14 years and find it unacceptable that they finally put in an outdoor rink for shinny and skating that has full restrictions on usage. I have a family of 4 kids ranging from 15 to 21 and we cannot go on the ice at the same time for shinny and the site is closed most of the time anyways. They should have made it open to the public at all times similar to Toronto outdoor rinks and even Gage Park in Brampton. Tired of over-paying on property taxes in Brampton and getting no services in return. TIME TO MOVE BACK TO VAUGHAN OR TORONTO !!!!
Reading room availability is not up to the mark , very noisy
I agree i went and the rink was locked. Where in Canada do they lock hockey rinks. If there going to do that it should have been inside. If its outside it has to be free to anyone at anytime no schedule, its like telling people they cant a basketball court needs to change to come as you like
terrible customer service they never answer the phone
Beautiful area. Good place to study during summer school but during the school year, it is very noisy due to the presence of students from nearby schools
