Unfortunately i had a terrible experience there i don't like this library at all this librarian was supposed to do something for me and she never did it at all. I just don't find the people there that helpful and it's actually quite loud. Its not the best place to go to read or study in my opinion mount pleasant is so much better because it's quiter and it has much better service.

For a library it's very loud, constantly busy and not a great place for studying. If you want a book, there are larger libraries. They do however host things occasionally that are wonderful.

It's not noisy here. It's clean. Everyone is quiet. Not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about. Glad I came here. Give this place another chance! Edit: ok, one stupid thing the librarian did was make a very loud announcement over a microphone to let everyone know there is an activity about to start.

Amazing library, it is a bit noisy for a library but it does just fine for visitors. Whenever I request a book, usually I have to have the book be transferred from the south fletchers location because Cyril clark doesn't have my book. It is still a great library and I would recommend for people who don't mind a bit of noise! c:

This place is not a library, it is a playground/daycare/loud conversation having/ movie rental/food court - only visit this place if anything mentioned above is on your to do list.

They don’t answer the phone……. They just have a general prompt and think, that’s gonna answer every question. You go on the website and get the same info…… so what’s the point of the phone number.

Good selection of books, they also come at a good time. Also if you are bored and done with reading/studying there is a swimming pool nearby and a plaza (also Pizza Hut )

The environment is so noisy. They have a common quiet study room which they use for program booking every second day. This should not be a library. It should be a banquet hall. The washrooms are within the library premises where you hear hand dryer sound every 2 min

This little library is a gem, with easy accessibility and a good selection of books, dvd's, other items. The knowledgeable staff are always ready to help with finding books and other issues, and are very kind and patient in their assistance and answering my questions. There are regular author readings, book clubs, children's events. The premises are very clean, neat, tidy, friendly. This is a community hub that I simply love! ~

This place is more of a daycare than a library. As a student I found this place horrible. The quiet area is available but it is small and has limited amount of plugs for your devices and hours. It is so loud at this library that you have a better chance getting your studying done in the Tim Horton's down the street.

The grandparents take my little ones here for story time, to pick out new books etc. and they have a great time. This library is very noisy no matter time of day, people on their phone, groups speaking loudly, kids crying and screaming and people playing videos on their phones and computers without headphones, this library staff does nothing to help the situation. I could go on and on.

NOICE NOICE NOICE........! It's not fulfil your purpose if you are coming for study because of amount of noise. It's not only KIDS SCREAMING and parents are using it as play-rooms, even young adult section too where people come to study, I seen many are here for discussion and talk which generate enough NOISE and DISTURBANCE. Anywhere people sitting in pairs for study, they are talking. You are lucky if you get spot at quiet study room where they set too cold temperature too.

I would like to request to get more books written by black authors. And if maybe you can place orange or yellow stickers on them so that it can be easier to find. I cannot seem to find any I have basically read them all. Other than that the staff is really nice and helpful. Thank you!

This library was, at one time, my second home. The staff are usually very helpful. Even though not the quietest library, I find it has the right balance of casual to formal atmosphere, well as professionalism, while still fulfilling its purpose of a public library.

Better hours than the Mount Pleasant branch, however, the study room(s) have been closed until further notice. With that said, if you're looking for a quiet place to study, do not come here. Some parents have decided to use this place as a free baby sitting service. Therefore, there are a number of unsupervised minors present. Bathrooms are clean, lots of windows to allow for natural light, staff is nice-I've been greeted on my way in and on my way out on several occasions. I would really like to see this branch re-open study room(s).

This library is very very noisy, especially during morning hours when programs for kids are going around. I would suggest they should arrange such programs in a separate room, rather than creating a nuisance in the center of library, and disturbing the customers. Library is meant to be a quite place and this is just the opposite. One of the staff is also very rude.

A lovely quite place. Location is perfect near a recreation center. I drop my kids at the center and spend my wait time in the library. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The only reason I come here is because I can study and then go to my workplace which is very closeby. According to this library, the quiet area is the only place you will find discipline and silence. And that too, with limited outlets and not properly heated. Sit at the normal workplace in the library, and you are surrounded by immature kids laughing and joking around as though it is a shopping mall. The staff does nothing when it comes to maintaining discipline. This is a library after all, and not MacDonald's.

Worst library ever. Very unprofessional way of treating customers. They blame you and charge you for damaging books you borrow without inquiring. Make sure you take a picture of the book while borrowing especially if the book is already old. If the book is old and there is no note about it on the system , they would assume it’s you who damaged the book next time you return it. I would certainly accept to pay for overdue books but to pay for books I have not damaged, that’s unfair! If I could I would not even have rated this library a one star.

Following the library closure for COVID, the books pick up was smooth. Loved the grab n go books. Kids where excited to read. The summer kit for kids is very interesting.

Great place to read, study, print, etc. Wheelchair accessible. The washrooms are clean most of the time (it's a busy place). Could do better if they put up a "maintain silence" notice. People get a good spot if they come early. The library has some interesting books and the librarians are helpful if you have any questions.

Do not go here to study! The staff is very loud and do not control the environment at all. Rowdy high school kids often invade. There is one quite room to study but more often than not the staff hold meetings and allow groups to use the room. I have not had many good experiences here. It is not a classic library environment.

I come to this library often to study because it's a good 15 minute walk from my place. They only have ONE quiet study room and it's rarely ever available when I need to study. You're forced to stay in the main room where they're are children running around and yelling (of course they will the hey are todlers). Terrible place to study. No quiet at all

Too many bald, rude, ugly men who try to bully kids for no reason here. Very small and cramped. White people are extremely stuck up here.

Cyril Clark Library is a bright & modern facility, & the staff are nice. However, it's the noisiest library I've visited, so it's not a good place for quiet study or work. There is a "quiet study" room, but it's name is misleading as it's frequently booked & only available so long as it's not booked for another purpose. Frustratingly, the "quiet study" room availability is not posted in advance, so you never know when it's available, when people will spontaneously book it as a meeting room, or when you'll get booted out.

I like this library. My only issue is that it's not the traditional quiet library, but it is a bit noisy at times. It does offer a lot for young kids, that makes it hard to be very quiet. Sometimes you see parents make no effort to keep them a bit quiet, making it harder for the librarians. Parking is easy and convenient. It's adjacent to Loafer's Lake recreation center and the Etobicoke Creek Trail. I've on several occasions made use of the trail and then stop at the library after to return and borrow items. There are a lot of book choices, for all age levels, along with DVD movies. The staff is pleasant and helpful. I've had to ask for assistance on several occasions, or pay a late fine, and never had a problem. Checkout is easy. I've reserved books online, picked it up from the holding area after receiving my e-mail notification that it was ready, checked out at the self service, and have never had to speak to anyone. In and out in minutes. On occasions where I'm early, there is an easy to find and use drop off box for returns. I like this library, and would recommend it.
