This Library is included in the category of Library.
Small and nice. Enough computers.
Great place, I like the whole Leisure Centre, also this Library is quite enjoying. My sister got a few amazing books from there.
Not a good place to study. Power outlets are nowhere to be found and there is a lot of noise.
Not too many books here but the staff are very helpful, sometimes a line-up unless you are automated. It is very hard to find and to get into. Unless you are already going to Village Square to swim it really isn't practical I'm afraid. You'll have to park blocks away and you'll be lucky if you can even find it. I'm sure there are many better places to put a library where you don't have to do the marathon to get there.
worse library in world, I live in chestermere and i was applying for jobs; I was out of resumes. I went there so I can print instead going home. I ask the help desk if I can print, she said no cause I don't have a card. then I asked someone in library to help me, and I'll pay for the pages. And the help desk lady stop him and told me, I have to pay $12 for card, and now $2 to use a PC and $1 for per page. And she was acting like a Racist person. And I'm really disappointed with the service.
I love this library. Excellent staff and services. Fair entry pass staff were also wonderful.
Good could bring lots of items for free like books , cds, DVD's, and lot more
I go here every day and all the employees are very respectful and helpful i enjoy walking in to this coop knowing im going to see positive people who will help you with all your needs i highly recommend this coop.
This locations Covid-19 response-- I feel very safe going in here as there is security at the door, hand sanitizer and a place to return materials borrowed. It's well ventilated and seems some shelves may have been moved since I was last here to accommodate for more space to distance. Also the staff have face masks and shields up at information and check out booths. I am happy with the response they have taken. This library location is a great place for many things, multiple meeting rooms mixed with many independent study spaces, the ability to rent out laptops and the very gracious dividing space between the children's area and rest of the library. The added fact that Calgary Transit has a hub for their "Fair Entry" program here is also a great service. Coupled with a upgraded water fountain that has a space for refilling water bottles, this location is a true blessing and necessity. I go here alot for many types of activities, entertainment and general knowledge.
A nice quaint little gem. Close to home. I get all my self help, self improvement, psychology ????'s here.
Library is now closed due to covid-19 restrictions. Only available service is for low income applications for monthly transit and yearly transit passes.
Library , Fair Entry & Bus pass open . Not the Leisure center !
A great library that has recently transitioned to a digital and community side. They still have a great kids section with children's programming. Big Sunny Windows and a great place to read, study or use the computers.
A great place.
great place to relax kids in a diffrent area and staff are nice when they want to be reason i say they want to be i've shown my id many times and even then it's verifyed and everything heck the staff know me but one of your staff is very rude and loves to give me a bad time she kicks me off the computor even though i still have like 100 mins left and she really like to pick on me somtimes other wise other from the staff this place is nice
The worst place for reading, there is no way to find quite place to read. Looks kinder garden inside the library and every hourse meeting by employes in middle of library disks to gain interaction.
Only library within biking distance. Very inconvenient seeing as there is barely any books for teens/young adults. The kids section takes up more than half of the library making terribly difficult to study because most days all tables are taken. Keeping in mind that it is still a library the kids should be asked to stay quiet growing up at this library in my youth there was hardly any tolerance for such noise
Ok let’s face it Covid has us all looking for something to do..maybe even something new. Well I love to read and my local library has always been one of my favorite stops. Now with new covid restrictions in place they have it down to a science. I downloaded the CPL app a placed a bunch of books on hold to the Village Square branch. Once they arrived I received an email and drove over to pick them up. You pull up to their north side door, off 26 Avenues...across from the high school, just past the RBC. Then you call the number on the sign, wait in your car and they bring you your reserved books. They are ALWAYS so friendly and often excited to see what you’re reading and I have even asked them to grab me a few of their own picks too. Grateful we have access to the library with the state of the world and even more grateful for the hard working staff. ????????
Small community library. Great programs for kids.
Though, the facility and staff are a lot better however, the library is becoming a den of noisemakers. This is worse in the evenings. Slowly, this haven for readers in turning to amusement center where adults scream over their phones and kids jump around without caution. We know there is a section for kids, but those outside that zone should be guided.
A small and cozy library. Has all facilities required by patrons, and is bright and tidy. Was a joy to visit
Too noisy. Not a good place to read and study. Few years ago it was very quiet place. But as of today it's looks like public park. But good thing is I can bring my 4 yrs old son to learn and play
Started visiting this location to do my readings and assignments. The facility is great and observes the safety measures for Covid 19, however, the environment can be loud and disruptive which is the opposite of what I was expecting from the library. Some high school students do not conduct themselves in a way that they don't disturb other visitors. Furthermore, they treat the library as their cafeteria. Some would stay in the library just to eat and chat (loudly) not caring that others around them are trying to do work. As a university student who had to transition to online classes, I was hoping that the library could provide me an environment where I can peacefully do my schoolwork which is sometimes hard to achieve at home.
A good quiet library to come and read books, use the computers, and orsimply just peruse.
Always friendly and well supplied
Good library
The best library ever read how you want go to this library to have fun. Did you know this library was open 25 years ago crazy right!!!!!!!
Staff is so polite, I love coming here to study every morning.
A great place with great selection of Arabic books. It also has a nice kids place. The only downside is they don’t have check-in kiosk.
I was happy to see the new age renovations. The place definitely looks like its built for today's generation now. I was sad to see where all the books went. It is a library after all. How did we end up with such few books. I spent alot of time here since it was our library. I was an avid reader most of my life. Books that I read growing up came from here. I had a bad habit of getting toooo many books. Sometimes 50 at a time. They didnt have a limit back then and encouraged it. I used to find the oldest and sometimes even scriptures here. Their would be the odd librarian being mean then my dad or another librarian would stand up for you to take those books home. As I walked around to look at bare empty shelves it no longer felt like a library. Their is a 3rd of books their used to be when i was a child. Maybe not even... I don't see how this will help our youth. Where did our books go? Half the fun was finding old books you could sometimes find old treasures or notes in. They spoke of different times before our time. Notes or forms other students had left in there. We would leave them in the books for other children to discover. My question stands where did our books go? I hope you guys dont phase out libraries because it looks like your about to. It looks more like a tech space now. So much empty space when those books shelves used to tower over adults. Back then I used to envision that place growing by the time I was an adult. Never thought it would go the other way. Those books had history..... the history of my city....... Horse City .... Their are alot more children in this city then their were when I was growing up.
I really love this library. Airy space for my kid. Many desks for reading books or working on assignments. Very helpful staff. I visit this library almost once per week.
Awesome
Staff are really friendly
It's a nice little library but they have the main entrance by the parking lot closed, so you have to walk all the way around with heavy books and small children. I'd suggest any other library right now.
Well maintained library
I’m at this library right now and someone has their music blasting and singing along and no one is doing anything about it. Earlier there was someone talking on the phone so loudly and no one did anything about it. Ever one is talking loudly and There are kids screaming everywhere!!!! Over all not the place to be if you want to study or work in a quit environment.
Its perfect for the new people who come from other countries
Not as quiet as a library should be.
Has anyone noticed that their kids get sick with the flu or cold 2 days after visiting this library . Especially if their kids play in the kids area. I haven't seen anyone disinfect any of the toys or the kids play area . Accumulated germs , bacteria and god knows what into your kids mouth. I like getting books to read stories for my kids at bed time and I'm not sure if these books are even cleaned when returned . Thanks for the reply : Out of 6 visits to your library, my kids got sick 4 times and during the 4 times my kid was playing in the pavillion area and with the large building blocks and some bulky toys in that area as well . I think that is sufficient proof to you that whoever is responsible of maintaining the area is doing a careless job . There are swab monitors that show you how dirty your area is for human contact . They use them in hotels to make sure cleaners are doing their job correctly . Regular proper disinfecting will clearly show on these items and my kids wouldn't get sick. There is a massive amount of germs, viruses and bacteria , our doctor said such an area could contain bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics .
For a library it should be a lot quieter. Strong selection to borrow from and computers to use. Computer keyboards could be cleaner though, there's dirt and they're heavily worn out.
Very Helpful people
Staff is every efficient, helpful in every way.Just a great place to go to to relax.
It's big and lots of tables and chairs
Very helpful people I thank you all employees and volunteers Thank you
This one of my childhood libraries that I had in mind that wouldn't be recently renovated. The flooring is not what I had in mind. Why did the computers have to be relocated? I liked them where they were. Edit: Also why does this library have to be renovated every ten years?
Very difficult to find parking near, and when you do manage to find parking the entrance is on the other side of the building, it's small, it literally feels and smells like the city just decided to take a section of the leisure center and put books in it... On a plus note it was free to go to..but then again so is any other library in the city..
Great place to use the computer and do research.
Good place great service
I went here to try to get a Fair Entry Lower $ rate Srs' Bus Pass. But, did Not have my Notice of Assessment from Income Tax !
Love the library but DO NOT like the noise of all the kids RUNNING around...it is like an out of control playground. Why is this allowed at all libraries? Many of my friends agree and are not enjoying their time in a library any longer....
Need better signeage on what enterance is open for the libary
Amazing friendly staff, very knowledgeable
Huge selection and friendly staff
The workers were very welcoming and are always happy to help people finding a book. I believe that the library has an okay selection of books but I find that there aren't a lot of fiction novels that appeal to my interests. But overall, lovely customer service!
Helpful
Ton of books to choose from
Too small, too crowded and too noisy! Don't even think about walking in, to an available computer! Prepare for a long wait and a possible argument with another patron, about who was waiting for a computer first lol.
Huge selection and friendly staff
I love this library. We get dvds and kids books here. It's home.
Can't mix kids and adult in same pool I think they need to reorganize it properly
