I love SAPL. I've had an easy time finding books and the staff is really helpful. It's a great place to sit down and study for a couple hours without interruption, and with great resources at my fingertips. They also have a really great music selection. I love it! A downfall of SAPL to me is that I find the library doesn't always have great programs. I attended a songwriting workshop that was outstanding, but in the last six months, that's all I've been truly interested in. I do think that the library has the power to interest teenagers like me, but some work still needs to be put into that.

The new COVID layout is working well. Don't expect to find a spot to sit and read a few chapters, but the staff are still incredibly helpful and cheerful, and it felt wonderful to be able to take out some books again!

a seemingly endless length of knowledge and possiblties truly bleesed with understanding they have books, meeting, plays, book readings, tiny labyrinths scale through the attachment of St.Albert place, with endless thrills,and adventures to be had. not to forget to mention the Dvds, Cds, V.C.R. tapes, and sound reading books basically someone tells you the story and you listen to it on a cassett player which the will generalousy provide you with library cards are cheap to buy , and are sometimes even free if the case were to happen but sometimes not all the time.

Great library and nice helpful staff. I wish there were more books that I'm looking for and I bet they do too as they are full to the brim. I do wish there was a cap on late fees.

Excellent library because of the awesome spaces available to sit down and work at. My wife has spent many a weekend at the library working on her dissertation and actually looks forward to going there because it allows her to set up and focus on what she has to do with minimal distractions. In addition to a great space to work, they also have an awesome selection of video rentals which we enjoy. I am sure that they also have a lot of good books being a library and all, but I can't speak to that so I won't.

They have everything there. The children centres are actually child friendly. They can be loud, and have fun with out worrying about doing anything wrong (within reason). Every one of the staff members seem as though they love their job, and that goes a long way. They all have been friendly, and very helpful with each interaction I have had, and observed. The selection is amazing. So happy that I have found this place.

Honestly usually I love coming to this library, but earlier today was not the case. I believe I had security called on me and my younger siblings, for what would be no apparent reason. We went upstairs because I was showing my sister a novel I liked and was encouraging her to try it out. She declined, and so we were upstairs for less than 5 minutes. Upon starting to walk downstairs, I had a security officer and an older lady come hurriedly up the stairs and stop when they saw us, and he looked me directly in the eye and said, "thanks guys", before waiting for us to pass him and go back downstairs, and when I turned around and looked back up, he was watching us descend. He was also waiting around the stair area while my sister checked out her few books and walked behind us until we walked out of the building. I am 19, so I know I look young, and my hair was up in a messy ponytail, which may also make it appear that I look younger. This should not make any difference however, as I know children are allowed upstairs. My mother takes my siblings upstairs all the time, as well as children she takes care of during the weekdays. We were not being loud or disruptive, and were wearing winter coats, so nothing was offensive or inappropriate. I am extremely disappointed that it seems I was possibly judged by my harmless appearance, for whatever reason that may be. I work in the customer service industry, and I understand just how embarrassing and insulting it can feel to be judged based on appearance, which was how I was made to feel. I was genuinely taken aback. If this is not the case and security was called for a different reason, it did not seem like it due to the reaction from the officer upon seeing us starting to descend downstairs, watching us, and following us out of the library. Just something to take into consideration. I wanted to renew my library card today as I haven't had a chance to visit the library for a few months now, but I now feel uncomfortable and do not feel like I should return for a while.
