It seems as i have spent 80 percent of my work life here so that's a four star review for you! the community and support of the public sector is always appreciated and you know your in for a great experience if you come here for study, books, computers and printing. You can Book a room to host events at no charge and utilizes the media room for your proactive convenience. coming from a background with a low level of education Southwood public library and staff have impacted my life through a holistic change from wonder to knowing. They say knowledge is power; im from Missouri is was my response and now i know that a waste of power comes from hopelessness, may we act in faith and find our purpose.

From the front desk to the serenity of the library for reading, it's a good place. My child likes the children's place to play, combined with the outdoor playground that makes it all more fun.

Studied for one of my exams here. Though have limited reading spaces but environment is relatively quiet, the way I like it. Staff are very very friendly too and readily assist you with any request.

Staff is nice, most of the time. Printer never working and when it does the colours are way off. How hard is it to callobrate a printer I mean come on?! Also it gets VERY loud at this location, they have baby and mommy classes and don't even shut the door to the room they are in, nor do they ask shouting people to keep their voices down.

New to the city, and library. I had issues downloading my document for print (important 2 page document) lady with black hair was very rude. It ended up approaching closing time and I just needed to collect my document from the printer after having all these issues (that lady with shoulder length black hair insisted she came around to help me with BUT DID NOT) And she rushed to turn the printer off, I said I just needed help being new -how do I get these documents out and she said "no I'm not going to be late and turned it off". I don't know if she is a supervisor or what but she was the rudest I have dealt with in a setting like that. Other ladies were not bad but she -horrible. I guess people don't believe in customer service anymore. I had a laptop and didn't want to leave it there to be potentially stolen while trying to figure out how to get my documents printed at the front desk. The least you could do is actually stay around to help people solve their problems they were in the midst of dealing with BEFORE closing time. It must take a couple of seconds to collect a document from the printer. Ridiculous!

I've been there a few times now. The librarians are very nice and even when the desktop computers are in use, they have laptops to use inside the building, so everyone can still use a computer. My only complaint is that the one time I stayed until close, the staff chose to flicker the lights to signal it was closing time instead of politely letting us patrons know. My husband and I both found it incredibly rude. It was only until there were a few minutes left that someone said something. We were going to leave a bit earlier but we were annoyed so we stayed until they shut off the computers because they didn't have the curtosey to say something nicely earlier. Flickering the lights was just unprofessional.

Great library! Good selection and awesome staff! They are also great at choosing titles for me for curbside pickup - they pick wonderful books! My favourite library in town.

Lots of little tots running around. And lots of chatting. It would be a great place to come if you have kids, or if you're working in a group setting. If you're coming alone to study in peace and quiet you may have better luck at a bigger library. Or perhaps at a different time. (I went from 5-630 had to leave because of the high noise levels) overall cleanliness is great and staff is super friendly.
