Nice Library. It’s small but that’s to be expected since it’s in a smaller community. They have great access to materials, albeit, you may have to wait a little while for them to bring it in from another library, since they are connect to many other Libraries. They have a nice selection of DVD’s, music and magazines. All of which seem to be up to date and in good condition. I’ve noticed that they tend to carry even the most recent book too. The facility seems to be getting a little tired. They do offer plenty of space to sit and read, some tables to work on and booths for private reading or studying. You can rent a room easily for a private meeting, for a minimal fee. They have some excellent artwork around the library with some commissioned works displayed too. They also have items you can barrow such as snowshoes and exploration backpacks. Which is a wonderful idea and a good way to engage the public. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Overall it’s a nice library and a nice place to just sit and read in relative peace.

Nice location, a little small but that is ok. The one staff member I interacted with was an absolute terror. When I asked to clarify the price for a membership, I was replied to with snark and a major lack of empathy. I can see why we are moving to a digital age away from terrible service. I can't imagine their job is that difficult that it requires them to be cold and empty, but I did not feel the close-knit small-town welcoming feeling from there, that I did @ other places of business in Okotoks. Thanks for helping to welcome me to this town with open arms. ????

The Okotoks library is a gem. They hold so many events, programs, and info sessions for the community to access, their TRACpac access makes it easy to get materials that aren't locally available, and their social media is active enough that I always feel in touch with what's going on. Love their summer reading challenges! I also don't mind paying for membership each year as Okotoks is a smaller taxpayer base than Calgary. I'd rather pay $25 once a year and have a better library than not!

Real peace is here for study. I like to go to libraries and my visit to this library is best of all. The staff is also friendly and all area clean.. Highly recommend to others.

Clean and spacious new building. Needed a quiet place to study while family was at the house watching baseball. Helpful staff directed me to a great study room. No distractions. I'll be back.

How crappy that they won't allow parents to take out books for their toddlers without having a family account- instead of encouraging parents to get a card and engage their child in reading for $15 I (single parent) HAD to buy a family card for $25 to be able loan books for my 3yr old. Perhaps Take a lesson from Calgary public library in positive community action.

Chairs their are creepy , specially if you are looking to have a peacful study for an hour or more , Your back will get complaing just after 10 minutes sitting , also there no separate area for quiet studying like most of calgary libraries , so for sure you will be distracted either by vistors or staff themselves.

The library itself is great. Lots of great books for kids and adults! The location is beautiful as well. I was surprised that the yearly membership for a family is 25 dollars. Calgary’s library membership is free. I was surprised that Okotoks charges every year. I love that you can order books from other libraries and have them sent to the Okotoks library. That is a big perk. I love that they have toys you can borrow. It would be great if they expanded that selection though!
