I have visited this library weekly ever since it opened. It is small with a limited collection. But of course that is not a problem with the amazing delivery service that is operated by CPL. I make requests on the CPL website and pick up my books at JUL. The best thing about JUL is the employees who are cheerful, friendly, professional, and even entertaining. Another plus is the clientele which is comprised of a cross section of all the different people who make up the Calgary community. People watching at JUL is a blast. I would like to think that my presence there contributes to that experience for other patrons.

Was there in March 2017. My experience was this: out-of-control kids and people speaking loudly (including staff). Kids were running past me. Seemed like I was in a preschool classroom. Is there a toy room in there? I expect some noise but this was over the top and I could not focus on reading. Not exactly the library's fault but perhaps the staff need to implement and enforce some sort of guideline or rules. I've been to many library locations and this was by far the noisiest and most disruptive environment of them all. If you like to get a book and read it in relative peace then you get in, get what you want and get out.

Although it’s not the fanciest or largest library in town, the service is fantastic! They were willing to go to the ends of the earth to get me a movie I needed for a date night with my wife. Really meant a lot to have that level of care.

I have been going to this library ever since I was a child. The staff have always been nice to me and are super helpful when my neighbor had out up her art work up for display. Some of them I know by name and likewise, usually a nice quite area to just stop and plot myself down to read.

Although small library compare to others, the staffs are wonderful. Always ready to assist whenever you request for one. In this Era of COVID-19, they are doing all they can to keep everybody safe.

Even though it's small, there is always multiple seats to choose from (unlike Saddletown that is completely packed with annoying people and screaming children 24/7) I rarely ever don't get my favourite seat that is easiest to use with a laptop. It's quiet and people don't bother you.

Due to covid you can not currently enter the library, however the studious staff have made the seamless transition to curbside pickup. Simply order on the CPL website, call on arrival and they'll bring your selections out to handoff at a sterile table for you. It's really very well done

Selection is a little small due to library size. It does have a few computers. Staff is ridiculously helpful, and will happily order you in books from any library in the city.

Friendly staff, close to my house, but I still opt to go elsewhere. Why? There are several reasons: 1. The kid's area is largely comprised of unsupervised neighbourhood kids and students running around and trampling my disabled toddler. There have been several occasions where I've had to intervene on kids too old to be in there screwing around because apparently the librarians don't see it (or choose not to care because it's not their kids?). Maybe it's the giant concrete barrier closing this area off that allows these shenanigans to be a continuous issue. But it is almost always an unpleasant feeling when we leave. 2. Poor selection of fiction for adults or even YA (compared to central, nose hill, village square or forest lawn) 3. When I've placed holds to this branch, I get the notification to pick them up. So I go there, and they're never out. So I have to seek someone out to get them from the back for me. Don't confirm them as ready if they aren't. I've walked down there specifically to pick up holds and been told they can't find them and come back tomorrow. It would be nice to see this library renovated and managed a little better.

Recently renovated and clean. Parking is easy. Librarians are helpful and friendly. Not as good as the Crowfoot library because not as many windows and natural light, but it's quiet and still a good place to study. Lots of tables and chairs. Lots of computers. Washroom is acceptably clean.

This Library I've been going to since I was 13 years old I am now 50 years old I find it to be one of the best libraries in town Has some of the most professional staff and some of the nicest ladies you could ever speak to maybe a small Library it's well worth one hundred percent going to If the city ever tried closing it down I would fight tooth and nail to keep it open Great Library always has been Look forward to when covid goes away so I can actually go and talk to the staff face-to-face again
