Would you please help me understand why Libraries have been allowed to become so noisy? When I have asked our librarian this question she said allowing people to talk makes the library a more friendly and inviting place. Helloooooo, isn’t that what cafes, restaurants, park,....? Louder than The Parents Links Centre (Place for kids 0-6yrs to play,...)

Nice little library, not a huge selection but they can get almost any book, audio, movie or video game through inter-library loan. The only reason why this is not 5 stars is because you sometimes have to wait a while, a week or more, for your book to come through loan.

Very Open and inviting, they have computers and a PS4 lots of tables to quietly study as well.

For 2 decades, I have enjoyed this community hub. The workers are always friendly and helpful. Membership free computer access is a perk for visitors.

Good place to donate gently used books!

The High River Library is a great source of many forms of reading material - both hard copy and digital. You can also get both digital music and borrow CDs. Same with videos. You can borrow DVDs and BluRays, as well as access digital video. The library has computers for public use as well as WiFi access for your own device. There are other things on loan, like sewing machines, tools and toys. There are special interest groups, courses and meeting spaces to be had. The librarians are very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. It really is a one stop place for all sorts of things that is accessible to anyone, throughout their life for the cost of a yearly library card. It's my favorite place in High River.
