I will give full marks for the Library layout and the collections are good.. But the recent experience with one of the staff was worse.. I dont think I will be going there again.. The staffs need more training or they need more staffs who are passionate about the library and willing to properly guide the people and volunteers.

Nice layout and building. Friendly staff. Too many noisy people in my opinion. Close to a high school I think as there are teenagers everywhere. Shhhhh. I just want a quiet space to study.

Great upgrade on the library. Washrooms are clean, seating areas are updated, good selections of books. Kids have a fun little play area. Cool little tot park out front and I think they still have the community gardens. Parking is so so, if baseball games are happening in the area, parking becomes a nightmare. Staff are friendly.

My family loves this library. We started going to it for the Baby Ryhme Time with Leah, who was fantastic. We have made so many friends through the various programs over the years, and often visit it a couple of times a week. The programs are still very good - although none of the teachers since Leah have really been as engaging and good with the children. Fingers crossed she comes back soon.

A very busy library anytime of the day. The Librarians aren't as knowledge on books. One Librarian couldn't even help me with Canadian authors regarding Canadian History for kids. There really isn't a significant focus on reading and books. Printing and DVDs are their main focus. It's not a very big library with a wide range of books. I have to order in most of my books. Staff are helpful but not very personable. They just added a playground too. Kids program run really late past most normal child's bedtime routines.

This library turns into a boisterous video arcade of loud kids from a nearby Jr High. Whatever happened to libraries as respectful quiet spaces for study by everyone? Staff seems given up trying,.. almost encouraging the environment degrading. Staff is somewhat helpful albeit slowly,... when not passive/aggressively ignoring people attempting ask for help. To be fair,.. one or two are far more effective than the others.

Despite the fact that they have an “Early Learning Center” catered for young children now, staff seem very unhappy with kids being there. They close at 5PM on Sunday and at 4:33pm, an employee quickly walked over to this “Vornado” (in picture), picked out the two bowls, grabbed the flying fabrics as quickly as she could, while a kid was still enjoying it. Then, she YANKED the plug off the wall and quickly walked away, leaving the child looking at the machine with which he was just having fun with. After she put those away in a locker a few meters away, she walked to another kid and the young girl had just finished coloring the princess’ hair. She wanted to color more. Luckily, with two parents staying around, this library employee didn’t take the pencils away from the little girl immediately. Supervisor overheard parents talking and explained that that day they had no extra help (volunteer I guess) so they had to wrap up early. But to yank the plug off like that when someone is right in the middle of it, is just rude. It doesn’t take 27 minutes to yank a plug off a wall, or simply turn the power switch off as it happened on a different day. It was a small area to “tidy up”, and the whole process takes than 5 minutes. I don’t understand why there was such a rush, or she needed to show how much power she had to STOP the kids from having fun. It’s like you are invited to someone’s place to watch your favorite TV show. You are quite happy and are just enjoying it. All of a sudden, the host takes away your chair, your popcorn, and yanks the TV plug off the wall, and tells you that you need to leave IN half an hour. How would you feel? She might as well directly tell you to leave immediately. If the staff really dislike children so much and prefer their work environment being absolutely quiet, maybe they should talk to the central management of putting the Early Learning Center elsewhere. Being hostile at them can not change that kids would always be kids and they do make noises.

Family size library; it's by a school so that kind of vibes be there, expect a variety of small kids sounds, somewhat busy but always can find a spot, no wait lines, odd characters here and there, no book towers - book shelfs with some interesting book finds, maybe hours could've been extended, just a little bit, and maybe at closing times, the lights could change color: 15 mins to closing time - from white to yellow, 10 min - from yellow to dark with only pathway to exit illuminated. That's it for now.....
