Good cheap burrito, actually would be one of the better options for lunch downtown if it werent for 3 of the last 4 times ive tried eating one of their burritos ive crunched into..I think its very small pieces of rock? Crunches like rock. Looks like rock. Pretty sure its rock.

Horrible management, rude and careless. As we were trying to place an order, the person just rudely hung up. Tried contacting them afterwards and they insisted on the opinion that their actions were just fine. I do NOT recommend this place, and looking at some of the other reviews I can confirm I am not the only one thinking this way. Edit #1: Contacted the owner through skip the dishes and he was awful, rude and careless. He insisted that he wasn't rude. Professionalism anyone? PS: I am giving this 1 star because I cant give a 0.

I was served by an apathetic staff member who looked like they had just woken up. No greeting, no eye contact, mumbled questions. Several mistakes were made on a simple burrito and the price is not in line with the quality of ingredients.

Ordered a veggie burrito bowl with roasted veggies and guacamole for around 9$. Good: I loved the quantity/quality of food for the price and the vegan sauce! The staff were really nice.. Bad: nothing too concerning, wish they had peach salsa like Mucho burrito..i know, too much to ask :D

The food was made from fresh ingredients and arrived hot and quick. The main problem was the beyond meat soft tacos we ordered for my 8 year old. They were way too spicy for a child. There was nothing to indicate that they would be hot at all and they were on par with a medium salsa.

Super disappointed to have spent money here. There are many delicious mexican places to eat in Victoria and this is absolutely not one of them. The chicken on my quesadilla was so awful.. very low quality meat. The whole meal was sloppy, tasteless and frankly quite disgusting (I could have made a much better quesadilla for myself). The staff was very unimpressed and not friendly or happy to be there. First and last time I'll ever go here.

SECOND night I came at 8:30 pm to find they are closed, when their store hours say they close at 9. I even CALLED the second time to make sure they are open until 9, and yet as I arrive I watch the last employee locking up. No wonder they are always empty.

quesadilla was hot, taco was stone cold. tasted adequate (not great) and didnt make us sick. subway sandwhich style counter where you pick toppings, from a limited selection. no beans, no rice. one type of low quality cheese. Ask to see how much guacamole you are getting (less than a table spoon) for the 75 cent up charge. amounts provided low generally - counted 12 kernels of corn provided. fish was dry and like the other fillings skimpy in portion. pork on taco was tasteless. poor value overall. disorganized staff. with so many decent restaurants to choose from nearby, i suggest you eat elsewhere.

I just ordered nachos and fish tacos from there for delivery through Skipthedishes. Asked for sour cream, salsa, and guacamole. They forgot all the sauces and the manager offered me a refund of $1and expected the nachos be consumed dry. I was pretty choked, and when I expressed my frustration, the sexist pig told me to "Act more like a lady". Really buddy? Mediocre food and TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING customer service!

I have ordered from them twice and each time has been an utter disappointment. The first time they got a lot of the order wrong, the second was someone else's order completely, but put in my order bag. They are 100% responsible for packaging take out/delivery orders and refused to deal with it the first time I called. They have horrible customer service and clearly very lazy and careless employees, as well as management.

They make VERY tasty Burrito's, not just a whole bunch of rice and beans like most other places. Great selection of original sauces that aren't you typical ones. Employees seem happy and to eat the food themselves, so that always a good sign. My only complaint is the guacolmole serving could be more generous.

I ordered delivery from this place and specifically asked for mild. The food was so spicy I had a burning mouth for the rest of the day and almost threw up. Not pleasant at all and not what I expected. I felt sick for the next day from the spice disagreeing with my digestion. I would say that other than that the quality seemed decent but that experience overshadowed the food completely. The others who ordered with me had the same experience of way too spicy! They need to listen to the order request!

The owner and staff must have been feeling gloomy like the weather that day. I do not expect a greeting when I walk into any store but I do expect a business owner, manager or staff to be enthusiastic about what they're doing regardless of the circumstances. I ordered a regular burrito with guacamole and roasted veggies. The amount of guacamole added to the burrito was less than a smidget and the roasted veggies were 7, maybe 8, pieces of green peppers and a couple of red peppers. Granted they could have been a new hire, the employee alongside the manager was confused with the order to carry out from start to finish. It did not help that the manager was breathing down their neck either. Furthermore, while they advertise the burrito bowl as being gluten free, there is a very high risk of multiple sources of cross contamination. A bad experience, similar to Mucho Burrito, and I will not be returning there at all.

Tried 3 times. Terrible service, below average food. The owner is always grumpy and doesn't know how to handle the store, the staff look like they haven't showered in days. Food quality is average at best. Can't even roll the burrito properly, making it difficult to eat. Staff make you feel like you're an inconvenience to them. Won't be back.

When I first went there it was quite nice, fresh and tasted good quality. Recently it has been very disappointing. The meat looks like it's been boiled and sits in what looks like water all day yet it is still tasteless and tough (the chicken and steak at least) the veggies don't seem to bad but the meat is definitely low quality.

I have been to a handful of "Mexican" build your own burrito style places. Unfortunately this has been my least favorite. I base that on service, value and quality. The staff almost seemed inconvenienced to have to help a customer. The portions given where relative small compared to other similar restaurants. The food tasted alright, but it lacked the freshness I have come to expect from these types of establishments.

Pay extra to get a teaspoon of guacamole. Get someone else's burrito to go and find out later. Employees who have no idea what the sauces are (there's like 5). Fairly high price for beans and rice on flour. Ask for meat, get maybe a tablespoon. If that sounds ideal this is your kind of place. Oh and don't forget the tables even in low hour with like two customers were filthy.

It was pretty good but not as good as mucho burrito. The main issue I had is I love mucho's burrito sauce. The sauce selections are very limited at Quesa. Otherwise, the food, add ons and price was good I thought. Very friendly staff.

This place is so underrated. They're maybe a little bit pricey, yes, but the food is fresh and so delicious and their ingredients are interesting (they offer more toppings than just your average boring raw vegetables - love their pickled onions). Plus, their portions are quite big. I have never left this place less than stuffed, even if I get a burrito in the smallest size. And the largest size basically lasts me for two meals. Love their food.

Went to the Yates Street location in Victoria. The Beyond Meat filling was poorly prepared and chewy (which it generally isn't), and the vegetable selection was not good for a VEGETARIAN bowl. By far, the worst part was that the green peppers they put on it were actually poblano peppers, with no warning from the staff. I wanted it mild so why the hell would they not tell me their green peppers were very hot? I finished a few bites and dumped the rest. I have had stinging lips and a burning pit in my gut in the hour since. Never again.

In my order, I purchased a 2 litre of Pepsi and did not receive it. In stead they sent me a small bottle of Pepsi. I paid over $3,00 for this? I tried calling the Rest. but always my call went to voice mail and no one returns my call. Food was cold upon delivery. I will never order from this place again.

The new management and staff is great compared to my previous visits about a year ago. The food is good and I like the freedom to choose anything I want on my taco/burrito/quesadilla but it just lacks a special something. Bring your favourite hot sauce and it will be worth it.

My friend and I actually laughed at how awful this food looked when it showed up from skip the dishes. All the tacos were chucked into tin foil and stuck together. Kind of looked like somebody barfed and then wrapped it up. Our burrito looked like a dying fetus, only a dying fetus would taste better and probably come with guacamole. The meat was so gross that even our overweight pig of a cat wouldnt eat it. Anyways, I highly recommend scraping up some roadkill that has been baking in the sun and eating it before ordering from this place.

I ordered the steak tacos and I was very unimpressed with the serving size. The price would be reasonable if there was maybe 3x more steak in the tacos, but at this point they've got a long way to go. I basically felt as though I paid 11.50+tax for 3 taco shells with 3 tiny strips of steak in each.

Getting three tacos sounds great but the tacos barely had any meat in them. The fish in the fish taco tasted store bought and there was barely any meat in the steak taco. By the time we got our order delivered, the bottom of the taco was soggy and had fallen apart. Definitely not worth it.

What a great way to start the New Year with a new owner and manager at Quesada on Yates. We go here often and on our last visit the manager and a staff member greeted us in a very friendly manner and made us feel welcome. The new staff member proceeded to add the ingredients of our burrito perfectly so the flavours all blended well. A great burrito! We are very pleased with the new management and will be returning often for the delicious, reasonably priced TexMex food.

I’ve seen a lot of questionable reviews for this place but decided to try their food after they introduced beyond meat. The staff were lovely and efficient and the food is excellent for the price. The beyond meat has a mild/medium spice to it that is not mentioned, but it didn’t bother me.

I was excited that you were back open and when I checked your website it said you can order only. Great! I ordered at 12:05pm to pick up at 12:40pm. I arrived at 12:45pm waited until 12:50pm to be asked anything and it wasn’t made or even known about. If you are going to do online ordering maybe have someone checking the orders. And leave your front door open!!!

I've ordered food from Quesada a few times and it was consistently good; until today. I ordered a large burrito bowl for pick up, and should have checked the order before leaving. When I got home I noticed that the container was barely full. There was a very thin layer of rice and a lot of sauce; what I ended up with was a cold burrito soup that was not satisfying. For a meal that cost me $18.50, it should have been full. I feel pretty ripped off.

Tonight me and my partner's ordered some burritos from SkiptheDishes (which Alex had made) and OH MY FRKN GOODNESS they were the best ! burritos of our lives !! I am so so satisfied, happy and full !! I am literally in food coma heaven as I write this ! In my burrito, I had all the perfect amounts of everything, nothing was rushed and no doubt my burrito was made with love ! I also thought it was so cute how they put little smiley faces on our burritos ! Everybody come her for you taco and burrito cravings !! you have 2 and I PROMISE you won't regret it ! they are soo delicious and such an amazing price for what you get, AMAZING !! also, I wanted to mention how great Alex is at their job! I had to call in and thankthem for such a perfect burrito, on the phone they were so kind and personable! Definitely the best customer service I've had in quite some time ! Someone give this person a raise ! they are exceeding what you would expect in customer service and proficiency !

Always smells amazing. Sadly, when you get it home is soggy and falling apart. The flavor in the pork wasn't very good. The spicy chicken was delicious. Price is outrageous for what you get. If you're craving borritos I would maybe suggest Mucho Borrito over this place. The food here is okay but the price is high and the portion and quality are low.

I got hear expecting an okay resturant, but instead I got a friendly atmosphere with amazing flavors with great customer service. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys good food. Little pricy bit definatly worth it.

Update 2019: New Management and im a regular again. I now get my half black beans half refried every time and no one bats an eyelid. Same tasty quality ingredients but with great customer service and smiling faces every time. The new owner is young, smart and all about recognizing regulars and making you feel like you are a friend. well done guys - hope business picks up again!! ----- Looked like a chain but i walked in and was surprised to find the food very tasty and fresh. So heres the thing.. i am the kind of person that finds a lunch time quick value and convenient place for healthy food and goes there everyday. After nearly 10 consecutive visits the manager still stares at me un-welcomingly and is probably the gloomiest guy out there. frankly Im there for the food anyway but now three times he has been uber stingy on the request for half black beans and half refried.. im not even asking for more of anything so maybe he is scared I may get away with 1/2 tsp more refriend as it isnt in the premeasured scoop?? Anyway its trivial but for someone thats there every day and pays the extra guacamole and selects the most expensive item this just left a bad taste in my mouth along with the customer service from the guy in charge. The other staff seem lovely and always fine with the half half bean & refried order. Anyway they just lost a customer and nearly 2K a year in takings from me. sorry about the whinge above.. if you can get past Mr Gloomy and you are ok with the sometimes miserly portion then the food was quite tasty but not unique.

Great food and service :) Yes, the old manager was an angry guy and I always felt bad for the staff.... But went in today and the new Manager Sam was welcoming and very nice - food was yummy and the atmosphere was happier :) They are probably in for an uphill battle because of previous bad reviews - but give them a chance again - grumpy guy is gone!

About as good as Mucho Burrito but an excellent promotion got me in. Free burrito? Yes, please. Had the chili-lime fish. Neither the chili nor the lime came through the plethora of fillings but it was quite satisfying. More inclined to go than before.

I’ve always enjoyed Quesada, and even more so when they recently got new management. Today however I was really disappointed. I ordered a bean burrito through skip the dishes and was delivered a chicken burrito. I’m vegetarian. I called the restaurant right away and asked what kind of meat it was, or if someone had put in the beyond meat in instead. I was told it was chicken. They did apologize and admitted it was them who made my order, which i appreciated however that was the first time I ate meat in 4 years. I totally understand people make mistakes, however it was a disappointing experience none the less.

Quesada is a decent mexican place I like that its like the Subway of mexican food, you can add and put whatever you want in your burrito/taco and its alot of food for the price! I would go to Quesada all the time for lunch its quick and filling gets the job done. Though i Wish Victoria WOULD JUST GET A TACO BELL!

If you asked me about this place a year ago, I would have given it 1 star and told everyone i knew to run away screaming... but wow! This place is on point now! The food is now fantastic, the restaurant is clean and tidy from top to bottom and the staff is fantastic! Great job turning it around, and going from 1 star 2 5 star is epic!!

I'm not sure if he thought I couldn't hear him but I will not go back directly because of this. I felt uncomfortable and bad for the staff. I hope they can find somewhere else to work that they are treated with a shred of respect.
