The fact they had stock, we knew it was fate. When we walked inside we were greeted by Frankie, a puppy, chillin'. Quickly the real help came with a man named Dylan. Dropped in a couple of times now. The 1st visit, seemed like I wasn't being taken seriously. I still had my Ridley x at that time but was looking for a touring or gravel bike for the type of cycling I'm now doing (plus bike tour goal). I started giving e-bikes serious thought but, after that 1st experience, wasn't crazy about going back to this store. I know I can find Giant elsewhere. But a recommendation from another cyclist had me give it another shot. I test rode the explore e & fell in love with it. I messaged the store at 6pm (figured they'd see my mssg in the am) to say I wanted to drop by early the next day to see if it was possible to test ride a bike closer to the one I want to buy then put a deposit on my order asap as I was leaving on holidays. They didn't get back to me until after 5:30pm the next day, saying the shop was too busy!!! By then, it was too late for me to drop in. I was a sure sale so I'm really surprised at that poor follow up. I realize people get busy at work but it took a full 24 hours to get back to me with a short 4 sentence long email. It's tough to feel confident about the after sales experience at this point. Hi Tyson: Thanks for your response. Seems there's no way to respond to you on this platform yet. Google needs to fix that. I DID NOT buy a bike yet. I had mentioned I was super set on the bike we talked about but I was unable to test but also was clear saying that time crunch with my upcoming business travel plans meant I needed to take care of this asap & commit to this purchase. So with little free time left to deal with this, I was so disappointed that you dropped the ball. Again, I DIDN'T BUY A BIKE YET. I would not have had the time to go look anywhere else so … It was a sure sale so again, I'm pretty surprised & disappointed. My only transportation is still my beater bike since my Ridley cross is sold.

I went out for a ride today and the bike feels like (or maybe better than) new! The shifting is amazing, the bike is sparkling clean and today's ride was a total delight! We are from out of province and ended up with a big hole in the tire of our stroller (from a tac). So we were desperate for someone to repair the tire as we had a baby with us, and couldn't continue with our vacation without the stroller. We had called many places to see if they could squeeze us in to patch it (like Canadian tire, Kal tire and some other bike companies) and were quickly given a solid "no, we are too busy". However, when we called Giant we were pleasantly surprised to have incredibly friendly service with an immediate "yes! Bring it on by and we will fix it!" And we were in and out in 5 minutes. Tyson was so nice, efficient and helpful. We were so glad that we found this place and were able to continue the last couple days of our vacation in Victoria.

Giant bikes are great, but the staff here are not the best. I brought my bike in for a wheel true and even though they charged me for it, they didn't do the work. Another time I was with a friend looking at a bike and the sales associate couldn't/wouldn't give us any info on the bike so I had to look up the specs on my phone. As long as you have done your research you can buy your bike here (as I said the actually bikes are amazing bang for your buck).but don't expect any service.

If you want a Giant bike in Victoria this is the place that has them. I would avoid the shop though as the work I’ve had done there has been extremely disappointing and the service side takes minimal accountability. My recommendation would be to order the bike online and have your trusted local bike shop build it for you.

Giant Victoria was one of the first places I visited when I moved to Victoria, B.C. The staff were all friendly and incredibly knowledgeable (hooking me up with a new bike and even going so far as to tell me what the hospital's (my new job's) bike lock up was like). I could always count on them for great service/tune ups, so that I never went too long without two wheels. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tyson offered to buy me a new bike after he found out mine had been stolen. I mean, what more do I need to say!?! I cannot recommend Giant Victoria enough. Tyson is clearly committed to supporting his community (so go support his business!).

I definitely had a bad experience with Giant Victoria. I had visited the store three and had settled on purchasing their medium size bike. They said they have two in stock so I said great I’ll come down tomorrow to test ride it, but when arriving the next day they said there was an inventory issue and the bikes were not there. So I suggested maybe I should test ride a large bike and they said they had one in stock and would build it for me to test ride. They said they would call me in the morning and confirm the time to come down to test ride it, which they didn’t call me. So I drove 30 minutes to their store and was told that the large bike was sold overnight on their website. I reminded them that they knew that bike was for me and they were building it so I could test ride it, so why would they sell it to somebody else online. Very poor customer service and with over 40 bike stores in Victoria I will definitely be finding a different bike store……

I thought it was about time I reviewed one of my favourite stores in Victoria being I bought my bike there over 6 months ago :) I purchased my 2018 Giant Trance 2 on a great end of season deal last October and having to save up for 8 months for the bike, I was pretty nervous about the purchase. The guys at the shop let me ride it around, try other bikes to compare, and do that whole process a few times before I actually bought the thing :) It has been my least regretted purchase of my life. I am having so much fun on the bike. Zero issus with anything. I bring it in for my free tune-up (for the first year) every other month (because I don't want to let it go :) and they put 110% effort into making my bike run like new. They treat all customers with the utmost respect, filling all my needs and more. I just wanted write about the great experience I had dealing with the Giant Victoria store yesterday. So, in the spirit of Happy Friday and giving credit to your staff, here we go. It started off early with an e-mail to the store inquiring about a bike for my wife. TBH, I sent out an e-mail to several different bike shops to widen my search and save time. Dylan Phye was one of the first to respond (in about an hour), give me details on stock and price, and also info on store hours. The quick response, along with a good product for the money, made my decision of where to purchase and easier one to make. I ended up working with Finn (sp) when I arrived later that afternoon, and he was very personable and easy to work with. Dylan also went out of his way to say hello while I was there. I was in and out in 20 minutes and didn’t feel rushed at all. Also, the COVID-19 precautions you have in place are also very welcome! I know the bike is on the lower end of sales for your store, yet I wanted you to know it’s sometimes just the quick response to an e-mail that helps land a sale. When I’m in the market to upgrade my ride cyclocross, GIANT will definitely be on my list of places to go first. And BTW, my wife loves the 2021 Escape 2 City Disc and rode for 15 km last night when she saw the bike, and then again early this morning for another 20! Thanks again, Darin Jess

I always had the idea that bike shops are like car dealer, they just want money and if you are not there to buy, you will not get help. My bike was stolen, next day I said I want to give the Giant store a visit, I never been there before. I have to say the staff there is one of the best, they make sure you get the right bike without any pressure. I am usually picky with what I buy, so after the first visit to Giant I went to other shops, but I was not able to buy anything as my mind was still stuck with the Giant offer they gave me. After four visits to their shop (and they were very patient and friendly all the time) I ended up buying two bikes one for me and my wife, with a great deal... I highly recommend this place just give them a try. I also recommend the Giant bikes in general great bikes for great value.

The people here are always very cool and helpful and low pressure. My son bought his mountain bike here and they offer free service for a year. We brought it in at 6 months (we live in Nanaimo so couldn't bring it in sooner). They did everything to it. Trued the wheels, straightened the derailleur, lubed everything, and even washed it completely clean. He was thrilled with how it road Hartland in the afternoon. Awesome service, thanks guys.

At 1st glance I worried that it's downtown and upscale (which to me equals higher prices.) Once inside the employees are super friendly, easy-going, no pushy sales tricks, and there's a huge variety of Giant bikes and accessories. True, their prices are in-line with the other retail stores, no surprise there, however, what I especially love about this location is the service crew. The techs are impeccably honest, skilled, and fast. I'm a bit like Columbo, a tad dopy but more knowledgeable than appearance suggests and there's always that annoying "just one more thing" with me.) The techs at Giant Bicycles Victoria save me money by identifying and fixing the specific issue, often fitting it in right now. How often does a service shop say "your total bill is $16.00. We were able to trim/adjust that cable rather than replacing it as we initially suggested."

As a relatively new cyclist, I have had bad experience(s) with other Vic bike shops in the past.. I have found some shops to have an uncomfortable high pressure sales vibe, or others that come across unfriendly and boarder line pretentious. I have now purchased two bikes from the crew at GV and I couldn’t be happier with the customer service I have received. These guys are seriously a breath of fresh air!! Friendly, laid back, patient* and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to anything bike related. Don’t waste your time shopping for a bike anywhere else!!

I bought my first new bike in 10 years. The service was fantastic! Great staff! Alana was very knowledgeable and helpful! And the bike is pretty cool too. I purchased a 2020 Thrive on Alana's recommendation. I've had it for 2 days and have ridden about 50 k. I am very happy with it. It's perfectly geared for the type of riding I do. My only issue is the pressure on my seat bones, this bike is more upright than the road bike I've been riding for 10 years. I'm sure I can remedy that with a different saddle. They offer free tune ups for the first year.. I am so gonna take advantage of that!

Today was my first visit to Giant Victoria and I was very impressed. This is by far the nicest bike shop I have ever seen and the inventory was over the top. Every model, size and colour all in stock! I had lots of questions about bikes and accessories and the staff was very informative and eager to help. Let's just start off with Giant Victoria is awesome they go above and beyond other shops! Tyson and Dylan are amazing! both very knowledgeable, easy to talk to and excited to help you find a bike that fits your needs. Bought 2 bikes from them in January. We are very happy with their service and the bikes. The model we wanted was not available back then (shipping delay). The folks there went extra miles to figure ways to configure other models which they have in-stock. Give us discounts on some of the parts so that it’s around same ballpark to get our bikes (rather than wait 4,6 weeks for next shipment) It was our first time buying nice bikes. They were very friendly and patient in explaining difference between different types of brakes, recommend right ones for us. Definitely recommend people to check out the shop for bikes.
