We've got the feddbacks of people who use the services of A1A Coin Laundry (Laundry) in the territory of Toronto (Canada).
To this day the firm has a rating of 3.9 stars out of 5 and that score was based on 67 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is really high, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the evaluation is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to leave their review when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Laundry is included in the category of Laundry.
Kept clean and I never have to wait for a machine. Feels expencive but on par with city prices.
go there every weekend
Lost $5 in there coin machine, never heard back from owner
Owner are helpful always clean.
As far as laundromat's go, this one is great. All the machines function properly, it's bright and spacious and there's free parking in the back and bars close by.
Not a huge place, especially when it's busy. Parking out back is off a laneway with only two spots, so don't count on it. About 15 triple load washers at 5.25 a load. Clean and maintained. Limited seating.
this is a disgrace to laundromats everywhere.
This place is very clean, the owner really takes care of the place, but this is a revised version of my review. Some customers would leave their clothes in the machines for hours on end, making it difficult to get an empty machine. The owner is an old Greek woman and she is extremely rude/hostile and without warning, she will start a fight with you, then threatened to kill you for no apparent reason. Still don't what I did to deserve this... This is what happened to me: I was using two double washers & two dryers & I had just moved my cart out of the way, so other customers could walk by. An old Greek woman had walked into the place. The old woman, walked past me, head to the back, turn around, and then walk up back to me and immediately starts berating me, "Get this out of here! (Forcefully pushing my cart), Move it now!!!" I wasn't expecting it, so I replied back, "Why are you shouting at me, Ma'am? There is no need to speak to me like that." That did not sit well, just learning that the old woman was the owner, it turned into a shouting match from her. While the owner continued berating me, I kept on asking at her, "What did I do to deserve this? Ma'am, why are you shouting at me? You don't need to speak like that." But that only infuriated the owner even more. The owner continued berating me and I questioned her about it, the owner walked to the front and called out at the two other customers trying to get them involved, but no one replied to her. That only threw the owner into a rage. The owner walked away and I thought that it was over. Oh no, the owner came back and continued, only this time accused me of being crazy and that there's something wrong with me; then shouting at me that she's on the phone and that I'm disturbing her. During this time, I had no idea that she was on the cellphone because she wasn't talking to anyone on her cell. Then she proceeded to talk on cell, then proceeded to turn to me and threaten me, shouting, "Do you know who I am? You don't want to mess with me, I'll make sure you'll get what's coming to you!" The owner did this in front of two female customers, but no one got involved, no one stepped in to stop it. I still don't know what I did to deserve this, I even tried to calm down the owner, but that didn't help... Sadly, I wanted to leave but my clothes in the washers and dryers, so I had to wait. I honestly thought it was over. The owner left to the office, the two female customers started laughing and texting their friends over it. 20 minutes later, the owner came out from the office and started cleaning the front. Next thing I saw was the owner standing and looking outside the front store window. A few minutes later, a large White male enter the place, mid 40s/early 50s, 6ft, approx. 250lbs (big belly), receding dirty blond hair in a long ponytail, biker looking, wearing a blue sweater and dark blue jeans, walk in, and walked up to the owner. They both started laughing, looking back at me. Then the man said loudly, "I parked my car out back, do you mind if I could walk through?" The owner laughing, replied, "Sure, Dear, go right ahead." Then the owner proceeded to pat the man on the right shoulder. While trying to pack my clothes, to get out asap, the large male proceeded to walk slowly down toward where I was, all awhile still continuely staring me down, with sinister smile on face, slowly walking pass me and exited out the back. This was absolutely terrifying because the owner just threatened me and I don't know if that man was sent to hurt me and or worse... This was my favourite laundry. Before all of this, I had just got off the writing a 5 star Google review just 20 minutes before incident. When I left, I broke down to tears and immediately called the Toronto police, but they didn't care... Toronto police told me to ignore it because the owner could be having a bad day. Still don't what I did to deserve all of this, still in complete shocked. I don't know the owner, but after seeing that man and still don't know what happened, I won't be stepping foot in there ever again.
Clean and bright space to do laundry
The lady that owns the place rules with an iron fist. (in a very good way ????) she keeps the place VERY clean, VERY well maintained and is soooo friendly. She remembers you and always says hello while taking that extra minute to ask how you are. She's no nonsense, she doesn't allow people to be rough on her machines and this is great for the customer, very seldom are there out of order machines or crappy dryers.
Clean and good quality machines
Very clean place, all machines work great, and friendly owner. The best laundromat on the Danforth.
It is my favourite Coin Laundry. All in all it is a good place. But sometimes the machines take your coins and they got stuck. It happened to me twice. It is a good idea for the owner to put somebody to assist customers. I lost a few coins in those machines.
This place was a life-saver! I live right next to another laundromat a few blocks away that doesn't take very good care of its machines. At one point I found myself without a working dryer to use, forcing me to go off in search of another laundromat. I ended up finding my way to A1A and was pleasantly surprised to find it to be a clean and reliable place that, while a bit more of a walk for me to get to, was head and shoulders above the laundromat next to my place. The owners are frequently down keeping the place clean and when a machine goes out of order it's never out of order for long. If I had any complaints it would be that the place can get a little crowded on weekends though I think that just shows plenty of people appreciate the work the owners put into maintaining the place. Keep up the good work!
The place is ALWAYS clean, she even vacuumes all the filters in the dryers, I was there pretty late at night, and I think that’s her closing routine, she was vacuuming the whole place, and then started pulling out the filters from dryers, which I think is GREAT! So I know it’s very clean, and I know she’s pretty strict with people overloading the machines, but it’s for a good reason, I wouldn’t want them breaking. they have good washing machines that clean my clothes properly and for a decent price, Its not overpriced thank god, and the owner lady is very nice, she recognizes her regulars and always says hi. I’ve been coming here for over a year now and I love it! Definitely recommend.
it’s fine but masks aren’t enforced at all & the owner refuses to wear one. but don’t worry as she is always within 2 metres of someone else not wearing a mask
It's ok
Clean and tidy place. Almost all machines are in order. Everything required to wash and dry your clothes are available. It's my first time here.
Great place
People with no mask. And people who works here so rude ????
Lots of machines!
Good facilities, just don't overload the washers or you will be chastised by the owners.
Good place
I really like this laundry mat the price is good it washes and dries my clothes within a good time frame and I'm satisfied in that sense, but the owner the older lady with the blondish hair is very rude and has racist tendencies. Today also she was not wearing a mask but luckily she was 2 meters apart. She really needs to learn how to speak to her customers. We are paying for the service she is providing it's not free or fair to be treated and talked to so poorly.
Very clean and quiet And fast
The owner goes above and beyond to help you.
Clean, tidy and good washing machines
A little busy at peak hours
Nice ???????? place owner is very friendly lots of machines to use . Only thing they should put a tv / radio with news or something . Would be awsome
Always clean and the machines work very well.
I used one dryer which didn’t work in medium temperature so my clothes didn’t be dried at all. I told the owner this situation but she just said that the dryer worked in hot temperature. However, they didn’t put any sign, hot temperature only on the drying machine and she was unwilling to return me money and kept saying that the dryer works in hot temperature. The customer service is terrible here!!!!! It’s better to check out if the dryer works after putting clothes into it
A good laundromat. Clean facility. Machines are always working right.
Nice renovations. Clean place.
I would literally give 0 star if I could. The lady was so rude that almost made me cry. She kept yelling at me saying she saw over the camera that I put more clothes in the washer… of course I did, it was half empty. When I told her to check how much space was still left in the washer, she refused to do so and continued yelling and asking why I was doing that… it felt like I stole money from her. Anyway, it was late, so i didn’t have a lot of options, so I couldn’t say anything, but I am never ever going there again. Not sure if it has anything to do with race, but another POC came after us and she was very rude to him as well. And now that I have read the other reviews, I see that she has been rude to other women and POC as well.
Rude owner. Kicked out my wife while she was carrying our son in her arms while he was screaming at her face. No mask on. No physical distancing
Excellent on Sunday mornings hardly anyone there
The place is very clean. Lots of machines and all of them working. A quiet and easy going place to do laundry. Would recommend.
The place was very clean and the machines all work. Best part is the dryers that you can add a quarter to add more time if needed
i have severe adhd so even laundry is a struggle the owner beratted me in front of a full store on 3 occasions yesterday and i could tell she was picking on me as she was completely pleasant to everyone else. i proceeded to have an anxiety attack on my walk out
