From lumber to small nail to screw to a plumbing part or anything the only place to visit is Home depot. The associates are very friendly and ask for assistance whenever yku have doubts. The satisfaction of the customer is their priority. Go and visit once and you will definately love this place.

I just want to make sure Home Depot employees are aware about customer service. My aunt and I were there looking for curtains we asked someone for help and we waited patiently. Next thing we know the guy that was called to help us, took another customer before us, right in front of our faces...like what? I walked out.

Do NOT order any appliances to have delivered to your house in Thunder Bay. ARMSTRONG THE MOVER does there deliveries and are the most useless, unprofessional and basically the worst business that I have ever had to deal with in my life. Destroyed the first fridge trying to deliver it. Second one has been waiting to there to be delivered for 3 days now. They keep saying it will be delivered today, but nobody shows up. Day 3 now. Go somewhere else, TRUST me. Home Depot needs to get a more reliable company doing their deliveries.

Tried for THREE full days to get someone on the phone from the equipment rental desk. Everytime an associate would answer, and pass me through, no one would answer on the other line. I explained this several times and was told they are busy and to keep holding. I can appreciate busy, and possibly short staffed but for three days to not be able to get a hold of anyone is terrible customer service at that point.

The online ordering can be a little tricky, if what your ordering has many similarities to something else, so if you can track down a UPC you're set. As for curbside pickup things can be a little slow if you go on the weekend or evenings, but early on a weekday, it's really quick.

Beware of ordering appliances for scheduled delivery. The date you choose means nothing to them. The first two times noone showed up or called, after the third time "scheduling a delivery" they finally showed up. Home depot appliance delivery help line was unhelpful and wouldnt even wave the delivery fee.

Went there to buy a fridge.. The lady just stood there not bothering to get involved in a sale and basicly just couldn't care less and walked away in the midle of us asking questions.. So we left and went to Leon's and was greeted with a big hello how are you and explained what we needed to know about the fridge and within a few moments the sale was done.. Not very difficult when we actualy went there to buy a fridge like Jesus if you don't like your job quit! Waste of time going to home depot.. If you're gonna hire sales people make sure they know how to talk to people.

The items I ordered where noticeably less expensive than local, but moreso they were able and willing to spend the time giving me solid advise and answer all my small questions. And they never go annoyed or rushed. I think it is about having the skilled and abundant staffing that are placed in departments that reflect their skills and knowledge so they can best assist customers. I always have a good experience here, and I leave feeling like a master tradesman lol.

Don't order anything online from home depot right now. We ordered our range hood in June and we are still waiting for it ( October 29). After several calls to customer service we still haven't received it. Save your time and take your online business elsewhere.

Anything over 100 lbs is delivered curbside which is ridiculous. We are told to have someone ready to move it into the house. But the delivery date kept getting pushed back a day. Then unexpectedly I came home from groceries amd found it in the backyard.

Worst customer service ever! Waiting 11 months for windows panes, to be replaced on my front door and sidelight pkg we purchased at Home Depot. One year old only and waiting almost a full year to get it fixed! This store has no real management to keep up on problems within the store. Will never use them again for any installation. Will use Exterior Finishing only for future renovations. They were fantastic!

I had purchased an appliance. My Appliance came in and delivered from Canada Cartage, to Armstrong Movers who delivered my appliance. When it got to my house taken out of the box....It was Damaged!!!! I had it returned. Now, I have been waiting for a new one. Forever waiting. this is the second time i have had to deal with Home Depot’s “Curb side” pick up . This is the worst system i have ever seen . Every other box store has figured this out : create time slots for pick up. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out. This is bad for the employees and the customers

Very bad service! Wanted to buy glass shower doors and no employee in store knew anything about the 10% discount. After waiting and waiting they located the manager? Crystal who tried to find every loophole to not to honor the 10%. She finally agreed and with the curbside delivery!!!!!! The delivery men do not go in peoples houses ( Crystals words). So if I pay for delivery, I sure want my showerdoors inside my house,not in the curb! So we will be shopping in a store with knowledge and service,NOT at Home Depot Thunder Bay.

I ordered and paid, in person, for an electric cook top, that was supposed to be available for pickup 5 days ago. They have no idea when it will be available. I paid for it to be installed, and the installation was supposed to be today. Nobody seems to know how pickup and installation services work. I get the run around, of calling one place, to be told to call another place. And back and forth, and around and around it goes. I wouldn't have bought it, if I knew what it would be like. But, they have my money, and I'm stuck. Don't be fooled. Don't give them your money unless you walk out the door with whatever you're being. They also, didn't mention that when it's finally available for pickup, they have very limited hours for pickup. You can buy stuff on evenings and weekends, but you can't actually pickup up stuff outside old school bankers hours.

I called on May 14 regarding a barbecue listed in the local flyer, I had an associate named Sawyer, ask me the model # he then stated that they were outside and he would have to look and see how many they had, he would then call me back. Less than 10 minutes later he called and confirmed they had approx. 12 in stock, I then asked him how do I go about purchasing one to be picked up at a later date. he provided the answered to all of my questions in a very professional manner. I went down a couple of hours to pay for my purchase the customer reps at the desk were very frantic, but also processed my purchase wonderfully. I picked my barbecue up two days later, although it took approx. 15 minutes to secure someone from seasonal for the carryout of my barbecue, all went smoothly. Great Service~!!

Terrible service and rude staff, had to place an order for a 500$ lawn mower I called to see when it would be ready for pickup they told me that it would be at least 4-5 days because they were backed up from Monday when they were closed..I placed my order on Friday.... They had 4 days to process orders from one day....I understand that some orders might be bigger than others but you just lost a 500$ sale because you can't prioritize a 10 minute order. 10 minutes to make probably 120-200$ in profit...everywhere is doing curbside pickup why is it only home depot that is taking 4-5 days to even pick the item for sale. Oh and went to canadian tire and they got it for me same day........

I had paid for installation services for laminate flooring on August 8, 2014, today's date is August 31 and my floors are still not complete. Not to mention the flooring to be done is over estimated at 800 square ft. which to be honest there is no acceptable reason to why my floors have taken this long. The contractor doing the installation doesn't bother calling to say he is not showing nor shows when he says he is. Also at one point when the contractor lost his wallet he did obviously call we looked through everything for him and let him know there was no wallet. He then didn't bother showing up the next day to complete any work but felt it appropriate to knock on my door and ask my son what he did with the contractors wallet. I literally have only one vent cover that actually fits in the floor as he didn't bother to measure for the rest as well he didn't fix my front door properly and my children and I had to sleep in an apartment with a door that would not shut or close which is a HUGE SAFETY RISK. The quarter round isn't cut properly nor is it fitting against the wall or nailed down. I had to call the store and speak with managers on many occasions just to get the contractor working on the floors. I even at one point had to call the contractor to find out he was "calling it a day" Overall my experience has been a complete disaster and if I would've known that paying for services through Home Depot I would've booked the time off work and done the work myself. And while my children and I wait for the work to be completed we have been living out of one corner out of the apartment and for this long is unacceptable. I would recommend other flooring companies. M&P flooring came on request to take a look and provide me with a free estimate under the circumstances and their contractor LAUGHED at the Home Depots contractor and stated that even if he just did one or two hours a day on the floors and milked it as much as he could it would've only taken him SIX days....now...as I am completely exhausted and unable to sleep comfortably in my own apartment and stressed to the nines on this whole situation with no compensation other then "aww" or "I was understanding it would've taken a couple of days" I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND HOME DEPOT INSTALLATION SERVICES. On a better note....the product is good....service sucks!

Extremely poor service at the Thunder Bay store today. Checked in around 925, received order complete/survey email, then was still waiting over half an hour for the order to get to my car. While I can understand it's extremely busy right now, approximately 40 minute wait is inexcusable, especially when the order is registered at complete to make it look like they're going faster than they really are. Not to mention it's not sequential; cars arriving after me received their order sooner. I can't blame the staff, they are always friendly and trying to hustle, but more staff need to be hired. The early survey email is proof of that. Two bags of sand should not take that long to get from the building to that car. Hell, ANY ORDER should not take that long. Extremely disappointed in Home Depot, I have to recommend people consider all their options before shopping at this disorganized location.

We ordered a bathroom vanity top on special order on December I. We were given December 16 as an ETA. We checked on December 16, were told it will be December 19. We went on December 19 and were told it will be December 23! It was explained to us by one of the managers that Home Depot is given the date by the supplier and that Home Depot should have called us. Well they didn't call! We will never order anything by "Special Order" again from Home Depot. There's always Home Hardware! We try to buy at "Home". Menard's would probably have had one that we liked, when we went to a pool tournament on Black Friday Weekend in Duluth!

I went in knowing that I should check online first to see if the item is in stock, and to my surprise it was. I was looking for an impact wrench that I routinely see here and the website showed there was 3 in store. As I got to the store on my lunch break I couldn't seem to find any of them, after looking for help for 10 minutes I finally found someone who spent another 10 minutes just pacing and looking in the same spots over and over. In the end he couldn't find any of them so I went home empty handed. I decided to make a web order to pick up the item in the store so maybe someone who knows a bit more could find the missing 3 and get me one however; after 20 minutes the order was cancelled with no warning and my paypal WAS NOT refunded. If this tool was not sold by homedepot and homedepot only I wouldn't be shopping here anymore. Feels like a colossal waste of time, the whole point of having online inventory is to prevent EXACTLY this situation however it seems to me that the store cannot manage their own inventory or stop items from walking out the door and losing their stock...

After a not so enjoyable time trying to buy a chest freezer from another big store, where I wasted over 2 weeks and never did receive the freezer before telling them to keep there freezer. I went to the home depot website and found what I was looking for and placed the order. I recieved an email that same evening that my order was ready for pick up. Went to pick it up curbside and there was great signage and easy/clear instructions on what to do. I texted the required info and 10 minutes later 2 guys loaded it into my truck. Do not buy appliances from Home Depot. I bought a washing machine and dryer from Home Depot on July 24 2021. The expected delivery date was supposed to be Oct. 13. A couple days before the delivery date I received an email saying that the delivery was delayed until Dec. 3rd. I was frustrated but understood that there is supply chain delays. Dec 3rd came around and I didn't hear from anyone. I called customer service and they had no idea where my appliances were. They were supposed to call me back with an update. After calling them once a day for 5 straight days they finally admitted that they had lost my washer and dryer. They said they would upgrade me to a bigger washer and that it would be "guaranteed" to be delivered on Dec 22. Dec. 22nd came around and I never heard from them. I have now called them 3 times (it's Dec. 28th today) and they have no idea where my appliances are or when they will be delivered. Absolutely terrible service.

Curbside pickup process was easy and efficient. Ordered around 2pm and got a notification saying my order was ready at 6pm, was only parked at the store for about 10 minutes from the time of check in until my items were loaded, great service!

I ordered an in stock table online at the Thunder Bay Home Depot and waited until the next day where I called customer service to see how long it will be to pick up my in stock table that I ordered over a day ago. I was told it could take up to 3 1/2 days to pick up my table that is stocked in Thunder Bay. Their curb side pickup sucks. Amazon would of had it shipped the same day. Pretty sad. No excuse. They should hire more help.

I hate coming here, it's stupidly busy and impossible to find help. The one guy who finally helped me was ok but it took 10 minutes to find anyone. Items aren't always where they should be ( zip ties aren't with fasteners Bath plugs aren't with bathroom stuff.)I would love to boycott this circus but I unfortunately know my wife will drag me in kicking and screaming someday and we'll have the same horrible shopping experience as always and pay an arm and a leg for it.

Absolutely terrible organization is the way that I would describe it. I ordered a marble slab to cover my island through Home Depot and the order was delayed by several months. I went to their store on multiple occasions and they assured me that they had already prepared everything. Unfortunately, I came to find that that was absolutely false because they forgot to order my slab on multiple occasions. It took me complaining to them multiple times for them to finally bother calling. I would not be this disappointed if all of this was the fault of one person, but the fact of the matter is that absolutely no one who was working during my repeated visits was helpful. In addition, they have refused to compensate me in any way for the loss of my time. In conclusion, I am not going to be going back to that store.

William & Lynn are rockstars at Customer Service. I recently purchased a beautiful Husky Tool Chest from the Thunder Bay Home Depot. Being that I live over two hours away, I have learned the invaluable lesson to check things before you leave the store the hard way lol... This is where William comes in; he was more than willing to help ensure that the product I was purchasing was free of defects or issues, so he painstakingly helped me to review my tool chest by taking it out of the box. Wouldn’t you know it, it indeed had some physical damage from shipping! It wasn’t too bad, however, William stepped up and offered a little discount to account for the damage which was greatly appreciated and appropriate. He helped me repackage the tool chest for transport and helped me load it into my pickup out in subfreezimg weather! Fast forward and my tool chest was discounted for Black Friday and, again, I live over two hours away so I cant simply hope over to customer service to get refunded. I called into customer service and that is when Lynn comes into the picture. I explained my dilemma and she took the initiative to help refund my difference and took absolute care of me! I can’t begin to explain how refreshing and rewarding as a customer it is to get superb customer service and treated like an invaluable customer! I hope management at the TB Home Depot make sure to recognize these outstanding associates and do everything in their power to keep them as long as possible because it makes me want to keep doing my business here with experiences like this! Thanks again to William and Lynn!!! ps, LOVING my new tool chest????

I went to home depot today august 27th @5pm in hopes of getting my paint mixed for me that i bought there as i didn’t use it right away. I was waiting in line for about 10 minutes as there was one worker named charlene working in the paint section. I was with my daughter/son and we were being nothing but patient and understanding because she was busy. I was at the front of the line and i finally got help once a younger lady came off her break. Even though charlene was helping people behind me. Once the younger one started to do what i was there for charlene finally spoke up and actually acknowledged what i needed help with. She only acknowledge me it seemed like so she could tell me “NO we cant do that” her reasoning was because she said the cans looked rusted and that they might explode. I tried to explain to her that it wasn’t rust and it was black paint from being stored under our stairs with other paints and it comes right off. I also said that they haven’t been opened since we bought them. But she would not listen or didn’t respect me enough to listen to what i was trying to tell her. Charlene’s customer service skills are terrible, she comes off very rude and intimidating. Charlene didn't give me the time of day even though she was very nice, helpful and friendly to the white ladies around me. Today I was able to teach my son and daughter a lesson on what stereotypical racism looks.

In light of recent Covid Outbreak - I wish they had a better cart sanitizing system . Walked in carrying my infant to find a sanitized cart - nothing- went back outside and found dozens of used carts all mishmashed outside - tried three different carts all of which didn’t have working seat belts for the child seat - after nearly leaving out of frustration I settled for a belt less cart and was able to sanitize it once we got inside - but my daughter had already touched the cart and her face since she doesn’t know any better .... just wish there was a better system ....
