Staff was amazing. I recommend highly!! A request for a full room clean was promptly done. Swimming pool was clean. Reservations was friendly and kind. Great restaurant in the parking lot was 2 minutes away. No need to drive anywhere to eat. I will stay in this inn again. I give it 5 the stars it deserves!!

I made an honest mistake of booking a room in June instead of July through the hotel website. I booked the room in May and received no further follow up emails of my upcoming trip to catch my mistake. My reservation dates passed without me realizing or any trip update email notifications from the Holiday Inn Thunder Bay. I was charge $310.36 for both rooms booked (as a no show charge which is the full room cost). I received no email or notification of the charges. Once realizing the charges on my credit card statement and my mistake, I called the Hotel Manager (Rachelle) and she stated their policy and noted that times are tough for the hotel industry. I am very frustrated with the lack of communication and notifications from Holiday Inn as I would have been able to catch my error and they wouldn't have had to turn people away that night. Also, that comment by the manager shows that this business is angled to make a quick buck off customers when times are tough for all. Make sure you click the right dates when booking...

Customer service is great. Breakfast setup during the pandemic is clean and safe. Ppl are very nice here.

Room was average, staff were friendly, hot breakfast was good. A little disappointed my platinum tier status wasn’t really recognized during this stay.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It was clean, well maintained, and one of the most inexpensive hotels of our two week trip. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. We loved the pool, hot tub and splash area for the kids. It was daunting to see the security presence, but did not feel as if we were in a rough area.

Had a pleasant stay during our trip. The check-in was a breeze, the rooms were very clean and the staff was polite. Due to COVID-19 protocols, breakfast was grab and go. The breakfast menu included a choice of banana bread or muffin, choice of fruit (apple/banana/orange), yogurt, oatmeal, hot options included omelette, sausages and toast. Would recommend staying here if you are in the area!

I had no issues of being scared of the COVID fear. Your staff has followed the protocol issues and I could tell that people who visited this facility all felt “ safe” with the way COVID has treated us all.

This hotel was so clean, the room was big, lots of room for us with two big dogs, and the staff were so friendly and patient with the dogs who were very excited to meet everyone. There was plenty of space to move around outside safely, and a patio where we were able to eat outside with the dogs with us. Price was very reasonable for the experience we had - we stayed 3 nights and we have no complaints to share. The location was great. Close to shopping, and restaurants - we highly recommend Mike’s Roadhouse which is right next to the hotel. We will happily stay here the next time we are in T Bay.

I try to make a note of remembering the names of the staff we meet. But the staff on our August 20-21 stay, performed exactly as we’ve come to expect. Meaning we got wonderful service and hospitality. They should be commended for maintaining the high quality and courteous amenity that IHG promises.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Thunder Bay for one night. The hotel was very clean with great parking. Room was comfortable, nice AC, good beds and a very modern washroom. The night was very quiet and comfortable. Hot breakfast was an added bonus. Front desk staff is great and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel.
