This charming bistro features some lovely food and drink options including a delicious Portuguese fish and chips. Highly recommended! The drink selection was great and the service was good too. If I have one complaint, we waited way too long for the food to come out. We had to ask for our appetizer which was disappointing.

A must try!! Wish we lived in Souris so we could eat here daily! We stopped for lunch at the house-turned restaurant and it was one of our favourite meals during our week in PEI. The mussels were amazing and fresh, delicious lobster spread and bar clams, and the burger was delicious as well. This restaurant was recommended to us by Chastity Smith (wife to Chef Michael Smith) so you know it's good eats! Loved every bite, we will be back as soon as we can!!

Someone recommended 21 Breakwater so we happened to be in the area and took a chance that they could accommodate us. The view is gorgeous. I had the special which was scallop linguine which was delicious. The scallops are fresh and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend

Very cool location, unique setup and a homey feel. I’m only giving it three stars because the burger I ordered was good, nothing special. The side dish was not good at all. I ordered fries and being in PEI, I would expect that they would have fresh fries, not generic store bought frozen fries. The service was alright, they were nice but not to talkative or enthusiastic about the menu.

While in PEI celebrating our 25th we stumbled across this hidden gem by talking with a young lad at the PEI Distillery. He told us it was the best place to eat, super staff and an amazing view. His review was spot on. We both had lobster on a panini that was excellent. Wish I had a better memory for names but all the staff were so kind, considerate and hospitable. Can't say enough about this restaurant......but if you're in PEI put it on your bucket list.

Incredible lunch in the heart of Souris! We didn’t make a reservation, but they happily found us a table on the patio. Absolutely fantastic food! And a solid wine, beer and cocktail list. The lobster and crab dip is a must as well as the Bifana sandwich and salads are top notch. The menu has a ton of options! Highly recommend.

I absolutely loved this restaurant. It was in a house and had a comfy yet quirky viba. Probably my favourite restaurant in the East Coast. I had the steak with potatoes and veggies. Everything was delicious. My husband had the Portuguese fish and chips and he was also very happy. All in all a great place!

Worth a drive from Charlottetown and points west! It's best to make a reservation at supper. The meals are well presented and over the top delicious. The menu changes from time to time, especially in the summer. The braised beef, pork dishes and Portuguese fish are must-haves. Also the fantastic lobster dip, sounds like a snack but more like a meal! Home-cut thin French fries with special chipotle sauce is to die for. His marinated chicken sandwich is my go-to favorite for a great lunch. Last summer, chef Pedro served up a crab and sirloin combo that was awesome. Seasonal mussels are a favorite as well. Outdoor deck overlooks Souri harbor. Lobster boats, sail boats, and the Madeline ferry add to the ambiance. No reason to skip this gem if you are anywhere in PEI this summer !!

I have eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal! The only bad experience is the FOMO from watching someone eat the burger when you ordered something else. It's truly so good. The fries are great, the side salad is great- if you can do a split of the two go for it! The deserts are all dead on as well. Would definitely suggest ordering a few and sharing. It's worth making a reservation at this spot, as it fills up especially in the Summer months. This restaurant is located in a large older house- It's an accessible spot overall, with open seating and nice clean amenities. The driveway is convenient as it loops around the building and you can easily pull in and out without backing up.

Great experience! Lovely large older home converted into an ocean view restaurant.Cozy and great coastal vibe. Great menu and prices were very fair. My kids had the fish and chips and I had the burger. Everything was delicious, well presented and good quality. In fact, it was probably the best burger I have ever had ( and I have had way too many!) Had some nice local and domestic beers and wines. The servers were lovely and efficient. Overall, excellent experience and I will be back! They abided by covid rules.

This restaurant came highly recommended. Unfortunately it closes early and was already closed when I arrived at 8:15 on a Tuesday night. I was also warned that it is best to make a reservation as it's everyone's favorite restaurant for an affordable culinary experience. The chef is Portuguese and a Portuguese fish & chips is not "the usual" maritime version. I was forewarned and was looking forward to trying it, and when I do, I hope I can up this to five stars.

This place is an absolute gem. This restaurant has a spectacular view of the waterfront and red sand cliffs. Our server was friendly and warm. Our drinks were great, and fairly priced. We ordered the mussels and they were outstanding and a large size for the price. We will be back here again.

We ate here twice, it would be the first time I rated any restaurant 5 stars. My husband had fish and chips , chowder and I had a burger, and everything was perfect in seasonings and absolutely delicious. We were visiting from New Hampshire and havent had such good food in a restaurant as here. I strongly recommend eating at this restaurant. I believe that the owner is probably the chef and truly cares about serving healthy well made food!

Well this was an amazing meal. well done to the chefs and staff. We had mussels, artichoke dip, salmon/ shrimp and pasta special. we had lemon lava cake with coffee. All of it was cooked brilliantly. Fresh local ingredients, highly recommend.

Went here for a date night with my partner and had the most beautiful evening! We ate on the deck and couldn't ask for a more romantic setting overlooking the water. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend the nachos.

This restaurant is one of my all time faves. I have had such good meals here. Our server Miranda knew the menu. Gluten free is easy here. The fryer is shared with a couple of items with gluten, which could be a problem for the very allergic. The food is so fresh and so well - prepared, that the meal should be a treat. We had the seafood dip with house made potato chips. How are they so tasty, the right thickness and not one bit greasy? The house salad with goat cheese is divine. Our hamburgers were expertly cooked. My tiny appetite father ate the whole plate of Portuguese fish and chips. We were so surprised. A testament to how good things are. I recommend a lighter dessert but I am sure the bread puddings were good. We had upside down cheesecake. Delicious spices on the crumble topping. Easy to make gluten free but was not.

We arrived at the restaurant at 7:45 with no reservations. Instead of telling us a wait time, they told us the only place we could sit was outside. Because we are visitors to the island and the restaurant was recommended by the boat cruise captain, we decided to have a seat. It was chilly out, but we were dressed for it. What upset us was 1. Two two pigeons perched above us, that even startled the waitress when she came out, and 2. as the restaurant was emptying out, we could have been offered a seat inside. I had the chicken and my husband the hamburger. The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is my husband enjoyed his hamburger and the view of the water was nice. My chicken was dry and by the time I got to the mashed potatoes, they were cold, as I was paranoid of the pigeons perched above us and the mosquitos that seemed to want us for dinner.

I would prefer to be giving this place a better review - we arrived and were seated quickly, the server was actually pretty amazing in helping us with our order and explaining the food choices, and the drink selection. Then came nearly an hour wait. We were dying at the table and we had to beg to get our appetizer served so we didn't fully collapse, and even then there was another 10 minutes just to get some crab and lobster dip with some bread on the table. Once we were finally served our main courses, the shoestring fries for all of us were overdone, and the Portuguese fish and chips was underwhelming. I feel like we just ended up coming here at the wrong time and that we could have had a better experience and better food than we had, just ended up with some bad luck and a long wait.

Extremely disappointed. The waitress was rude (she appeared to be rather annoyed at the fact that we were there), and made an enormous fuss about seating us. The limited menu was unappealing and uninspired. After waiting for almost ten minutes to ask a question (the restaurant was almost empty) we left. The meals we saw as we left looked undercooked and small. Avoid this spot. It's not worth the hassle.

Great experience! The menu is not page after page of selections but what they do serve is great quality food. It can be a little loud when it's busy due to the small dining area but the service was great. Hands down the best place in souris to have a delicious meal at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through souris. I guarantee you will leave with a full belly and a smile. P.s the burger is a must try.

A friend recommended this restaurant to us. We drove over and we were turned away because we didn’t have reservations. We made reservations for the next night. This place was amazing! The history of the building, the atmosphere, the friendly staff and the food is delicious! Our party of 5 had Piri Piri chicken, seared haddock and the breakwater burger all flavourful and good! Dessert we had cheesecake topped with raspberries & blueberries and an apple dumpling topped with raspberries and blueberries as well! Place is a little pricey but worth it!

Kids chicken fingers were amazing. The fish and chips were uniquely delicious. The pork sandwich was a little chewy but the bacon on it was a nice touch. We are on the verandah which was ideal and allowed the kids to run around while we waited. Atmosphere was cozy and view was peaceful and quiet. Very enjoyable.

We are caught having to find an alternative solution at the last minute. They could not deliver to the ferry apparently. Our alternative was the lobster shack. I recommand it. (Original) Aux québecois qui vont aux iles, ne vous fiez pas à ce restaurant pour vous livrer un diner avant de prendre le traversier. On c'est fait prendre à devoir trouver une solution de rechange à la dernière minute. Ils ne pouvaient pas livrer au traversier semble-t-il. Notre solution de rechange a été le lobster shack. Je le recommande.

We tried the pork with chimichurri sauce, salmon and shrimp, chicken and mushroom linguine, the burger, Portuguese fish and chips and as a starter, lobster and crab dip with seasoned PEI potato chips. All of us really enjoyed our meals, Souris is lucky to have such a gem of a place! Would highly recommend this spot!
