Never take anything expensive to Village Dry Cleaners!
I took my Canada Goose jacket here. My jacket looked new, I’d worn it maybe a dozen times for 2 winter seasons. It had never been washed or dry cleaned ever. I called prior to taking it in to make sure they would be able to dry clean it as I was very nervous, the lady said yes as long as you remove the fur around the hood (which I did). I picked my jacket up on Oct 29th, the lady said “there’s a sorry tag on there, I’m not sure why”. The minute I looked at it I could immediately tell why .. my jacket that looked new days prior now looked like I’d worn it for 10 years. The Canada Goose tag looks very faded/ washed, small holes and fading on the arm threading and other areas, I even had my initials written on the inside tag with a permanent sharpie and somehow that’s even gone. All she said was “yea, I can see what you’re talking about, that will be $30.50” I paid and then replied with “So, what happens if you guys damage something? The customer just has to deal with it?” Her reply “no, you call Scott, have a great Thursday, bye” like I’m supposed to know who Scott is? ????????♀️
Anyways, she gave me the number for Scott (the manager/ owner) I called him on Oct 30th, he called back on Nov 2nd (I was at work and missed the call). Since then Scott has ignored my every attempt to contact him. I’ve called a bunch of times, left at least 4 voicemails asking him to please return my call as we’ve had no conversation about how this could have happened. On the final voicemail (Nov 10th) I made him aware that I was giving up on trying to contact him, as it’s useless and that I would be posting a negative review so hopefully no one else has their EXPENSIVE articles ruined like mine. Not even so much as an apology or explanation. Thanks for the complete disregard for someone else’s things. Maybe an apology would have gone along way. Talk about poor customer service. This place looks so run down I should have known better.
